Sesame honey chicken. Crispy on the outside, NOT dry on the inside.

I was back in town for another soccer tournament and had to come back and try this place again. It did not disappoint. The restaurant looks small from the outside, but that's deceptive. They actually have a lot of seating, and they keep the place clean and tidy. If you're looking for a greasy spoon, this isn't it. They seem to care about making sure the food actually tastes good. You can see the quality of the ingredients used here, and food tastes delicious. I've been to A LOT of Chinese buffets and this is one of the best in terms of cleanliness, taste, and service. I got a few more photos of the food this time. I made sure to take them before I started eating. I can't say enough good things about this place. If you haven't tried it, you really should. They have a good variety, including both mild and spicy dishes, and some seafood. I wanted to keep eating but eventually I got too full. I'm sure I'll be back, possibly as soon as tomorrow!

Pretty dim selection of buffet type "Chinese" dishes and a selection of various pork and bone in meat in Mexican red sauce, green sauce, etc. Mostly sad and lacking in flavor- see the "Mexican spaghetti" dish which appeared to be a pile of buttered spaghetti noodles with a wee bit of Parmesan on top. It was over $15 which isn't a good price for the lack of selection. No one spoke much English there. No idea who my server was as I never got my water refilled. The ice creams were all dirtied with frozen ice cream leaked from elsewhere which was really unappealing even after I dusted off all the frost crystals. I'd really need to be desperately starving to eat here again and I'm no food snob at buffets.

Great spot right by the mall. The interior is much bigger than it looks like from the storefront with plenty of seating inside for couples, families and groups. The service was awesome with everyone working together to clear plates, fill drinks, buss tables and checkout. If you ask they will make a custom dish to add to the buffet at no extra charge! For $10.95 weekday lunch you'll find good variety, small fresh portions refreshed often and a pleasant clean atmosphere. Some highlights for me were the egg rolls and crab Rangoon and something called Singapore noodles (curried glass noodles with lots of egg).

seafood options? and less than $15 for dinner? amazing

For a typical buffet, this is a good buffet to go to. The prices for their lunch and dinner are VERY reasonable and there is so much food that they offer! The service is great, and the staff was very attentive to us each time we've dined here! Again, this is a buffet, so the quality of the food is like any other buffet that you'd go to. But I'd say it's solid buffet food that is continuously refreshed, really great prices (I feel like it's one of the lowest ones I've seen...given how much food they offer and the quality of it) and good service. If you're in for a buffet-fixing, come here!

This is a much liked, well known buffet in the heart of Overland Park. Great food, excellent service, and a fairly decent price for an All-You-Can-Eat Chinese restaurant. There was even a very popular movie playing on the tv set, kinda like being at home! I definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone that really enjoys Chinese food or whom loves a variety of delicious foods. The buffet was very well setup & the food was close to as fresh as you can expect. Everything seemed at good high temps. The reason I couldn't give a 5 star was only for the one flaw of the plates. As we had walked up to the bar and reached for a plate we noticed one was not cleaned properly. As the single downside alone it didn't seem worth the complaint. Just please do be aware at any restaurant. I'm certainly planning on going back again in my nearest Chinese-food-craving future. This is an exceptional place for a more unique buffet experience. Enjoy!!

This new restaurant featured a buffet, with menu items available for takeout. My lunch buffet ($10.95 lunch M-Sa, $13.95 dinner and Sunday, with lower prices for kids) included access to the three buffet islands, which offered eight classic Chinese entrees (including chicken, beef and shrimp dishes), drumsticks, fries, rice, soups, fresh veggies, fresh fruits and desserts. Every item I tried at the buffet was nicely flavored and perfectly cooked except for the chicken on a stick, which was overcooked and dry. The drumsticks were especially good, and the fried rice was tasty and moist. I was disappointed to see that there were no labels above food items because they would have been helpful. I liked the spacious seating areas with booths and tables in three divided areas, background music and music videos playing on TV. The service was mixed, with friendly beverage and plate removal service at the table, but no plates being removed during my meal. It was also unusual not to receive a bill at the table. Instead, you pay at the front counter when ready and receive a receipt (upon request) that hasn't been itemized. Overall, it was a good, basic Chinese buffet with reasonable prices and room for improvement. A-OK.

Food was very good. Chow mien, general tso chicken, crab rangoon's, and coconut shrimp were all fire! All food was stocked up. We went on a Saturday around 4pm. Severs kept our drinks full. Very reasonable prices for a buffet. The inside was very clean. Even the bathrooms were super clean and smelled good. Would definitely visit again.

Nice little Chinese buffet. Food is top Notch as far as Chinese buffets go. Wait staff is friendly. But sometimes you have to refill your own pop. The ice cream is in little containers. Rather then served to you. I would recommend they label some things gluten free. That would give them a step up for celiacs and other people that can't have gluten. Also, there is no salad bar, that's my only biggest complaint. But the crab ragoons, chicken, lo mein jello, shrimp, spicy beef, meat sticks, and everything else is truly delicious! I would list the flavor of the Chinese food up a notch VS standard Chinese pickup food.

Little bit if everything tons of flavor

They didn't offer any fortune cookies. This place is more for pick up than a sit down restaurant.

By the time I grabbed our food and headed back out, the front spots had already opened up again. We did two lunch specials for around $20 total, which feels like a steal for how much food you get and how good it was. We ordered the Chicken with Cashew and the General Tso's lunch specials, both came with soup and a side. The cashew chicken was seriously incredible. A lot of places overload this dish with veggies until it turns into chaos, but this one was balanced with the right mix of ingredients and is easily one of my new favorites in KC. Only bummer: hardly any cashews. Still delicious, but I wanted a little more cashew love. Crab rangoons were hot and crispy with a solid filling even after a bit of a drive home. The fried rice had great flavor, and the steamed white rice was bouncy and soft, not that kind with crispy dry edges. Both soups were spot on, and THANK YOU for including wonton strips. A lot of places skip them and it really can make or break egg drop soup for me. General Tso's had great flavor, but the chicken pieces were a little big and it wasn't very spicy, even though we didn't order it no spicy. Not a dealbreaker, just something to know if you want that classic kick. Inside is clean and cute with tables for about 8 to 10 small groups, the front desk is toward the back, and everyone was kind and helpful. As an Elite, I also loved seeing their Yelp pride around the restaurant. Overall, super solid lunch specials and I'll absolutely be back!!

I usually come here for dim sum, and it is upsetting for me to say that my husband and I should've chose somewhere else to eat for dinner. For dinner, we ordered fried rice and chow fun. Those two main entrées were okay. You can't really mess up those two fillers at an Asian restaurant. We ordered scallion pancakes- they came out soggy and soft. Not even crispy like how they usually are. The flavor wasn't there either. If I wanted microwaved scallion pancakes, then I would've bought them from the store and made them myself. My husband ordered the short ribs- they were bland and tough like rubber. It had a funky taste to it that he couldn't describe and he had to force himself to swallow it because he didn't want food to go to waste. I ordered the chicken feet- this is one of dim sum's signature dishes and I am so upset I didn't even get to enjoy one of the dishes I always order. It was dry and the flavor wasn't there. The service was fantastic. They checked in on us and made sure our water was filled. The timing of the food coming in and out was fine. The ambiance was inviting. There was a sense of urgency and I appreciated that.

Their menu consists of a lot of dishes, and some are quite unique .. you don't usually see items like bird's nest dishes at most Chinese restaurants around here except for maybe Bolings. Me and my husband visited on a Saturday night around 8 pm and really devoured our meal. The menu can feel a bit overwhelming at first, but you honestly can't go wrong with stir fries at any Chinese restaurant. For appetizers, we ordered chicken egg rolls, which were hefty and filling. For the main course, I ordered the chicken in black bean stir fry, and my husband got the shrimp Kung Pao chicken stir fry. We paired both with steamed rice. The black bean chicken was rich and earthy, with that deep, slightly funky flavor from the fermented black beans. It was very umami, salty and complimented nicely with the fresh, crisp vegetables and well-cooked chicken. I really liked it. The shrimp Kung Pao was spicy and tangy, with perfectly cooked shrimp (the fried shrimp covering was chefs kiss) and crispy veggies. Overall, we really enjoyed the food. The egg rolls were about $4 for two pieces, and the stir fries were around $17+ each. The portions are quite large compared to other places in the area, so the pricing seemed reasonable. For 2 main course dishes your bill could easily reach up to $40. Otherwise, The restaurant was clean, the staff was kind, and service was quick. It also wasn't too crowded when we visited. I would rate the service 4/5, mainly because we had to ask for silverware, condiments, and tissues separately. The food, though, is definitely a 5/5. Highly recommended! I will definitely return to have more dishes like beef chow fun, the soups and last, but not least BIRDS NEST!!
