Our bill which should add up to $57.40 for the subtotal but they sneakily put $64.37

They've gone a little downhill. Food is still good but we used to always order for delivery since they had one of the most fast and reliable delivery services but they've stopped offering delivery in the past year or so. Worst part is (as many others have mentioned) it looks like they're very sketchy about their charges. Last time we ate in the restaurant and received our bill which looked correct with 4 items on it but when we added up the prices ourselves, it came out to less than the price they wrote on the bill. We brought this to their attention and they insisted it wasn't a mistake and that the added cost was for tip but it was VERY clear that they were just trying to up the total without us noticing, especially since it wasn't noted as a tip and our party shouldn't have been charged for automatic tip. I may still keep eating here but I definitely wouldn't trust them with the charges, especially when they refused to take accountability for it which tells me it was intentional and something they probably do often.

Love Dragon House, ordered catering for my daughter's birthday and service was great when ordering and picking up. The prices are good and they really pack in the food in those trays! Everything was very fresh and hot, and the sweet workers helped me bring my order to my car. Delicious fresh chinese food

I got an order of vegetable chow mein, orange chicken, and a small white rice all delivered to DoorDash to my Hayward home The food was fresh, hot and delicious . The flavors were excellent, and the portion is huge Give this place a try you'll be glad you did Bon appétit

This is not what the fried shrimp should look like, I was given what appears to be the tempura shrimp from Costco. Highly disappointed.

I love dragon house and I always get to go from them but today I ordered the fried shrimp appetizer expecting the golden delicious fried wrapped shrimp you get with their set D dinner. Instead when I open the box, I see tempura shrimp from Costco. It even have the same flat bottom. Come on guys.....

PARTICULAR ITEMS When I go to restaurants that have the same cuisine I try to order different items. Especially if the items are not served at other restaurants. One day I came to Dragon House for lunch because one of the items on lunch menu stood out - beef with mushrooms. Mushrooms have an umami taste. The combination of mushrooms and beef results in a filling dish. I really enjoyed this dish for lunch. The beef with mushrooms dish was promising start. Almost a week later I came here for dinner specifically to order the fried flounder, which not listed in the lunch menu. The breading has a light crust, yet I wished it was crunchier. Anytime a whole meat is deep fried you worry if the meat was overcooked. The meat from the flounder wasn't dry but moist. However I wish the sauce for fried flounder was thicker. Curry is not what you associate with Chinese food, but I came back to Dragon House a couple of weeks later for that reason. For lunch I ordered the chicken curry. I don't believe should be drenched in sauce, but I also believe you should taste the flavor of the sauce. The chicken dish had a very light curry sauce however I couldn't taste the curry. My first time eating at the Dragon House I was very pleased. The other two times the dishes were satisfactory. The items I had were tasty, but I expected more yet ended up as ok.

Been going here since they were on Smith Street. Everything always excellent. A favorite is the sweet and sour chicken.

Quick service, foods good to so-so, would be back here for more. The soup was good, a little spicy, the walnut prawns were a little portion.

The nice servers can help stir the rice if you are inexperienced like me. And if you aren't a fan of the crunchy rice, dig in asap! I would recommend adding soy sauce because the rice is bland. *********************3.5 stars*******************…read more Today we stopped by for my friend's birthday lunch. Of all places, I don't know why she picked Fong Kee Clay Pot. Several months ago, I visited Fong Kee Clay Pot with a different friend who gave it rave reviews. The food isn't gross, but it's something I can make myself. Cook some meat and rice, and throw it in a clay pot. Although I didn't want to come here, the rest of my friends were excited to try this place. I kept my mouth shut and didn't express my opinion. Maybe I should have spoken up because everyone was underwhelmed by what we ordered. My food was bland and needed more flavor, but I wasn't sure what to add to make it more flavorful. What I shared with my husband: Preserved egg and chicken porridge with a Chinese donut Chinese sausage w/ salted fish I was disappointed by the amount of salted fish in my bowl. I found a few sheer pieces of basically nonexistent fish in my fish. It takes less than two dollars to make this dish, so I have no idea why a bowl of rice costs $17. I love preserved egg and chicken porridge, but this one lacked sodium and preserved duck egg flavor. My guess is that they made plain porridge and dumped chicken and preserved egg into it instead of cooking it on a slow simmer. My friend had to send her dish back because she found a hair in her food. Cons: Bland dishes Expensive dishes for what you actually get Pros: Prompt and good service for a party of 7. The next time a friend suggests Clay Pot, I will suggest a better alternative and spare us disappointment.

You get served a huge bowl for $16.45. Lots of noodles, meats, shrimps and dumplings. The broth is seasoned just right. The first time I came here, I ordered the Salt 'n Pepper Prawns in-shell. It was made with rough salt and chili peppers. Prawns aren't breaded, they're fried in the shell. That's the way I like it prepared. The first time I came, service was great. The waitress was nice and we talked about old school chinese food. The second time I had lunch, it was around 12-noon and the place was busy. The same waitress was there, and she remembered my order from last time. Overall, I had a nice experience. It's good to see these restaurants still exist, and are still popular. I will definitely be coming back. Maybe I'll return and try their claypots or a lunch plate. ------------------------------------ Notes: No steps or stairs Separate Men & Women restrooms Free parking in lot.

The service was quick and attentive, and the restaurant itself was nicely decorated. The best thing we ordered was the Sizzling Yellow Croaker with Fried Garlics (9/10). The fish was super crispy, and the sweet, garlicky skin was incredibly addictive. I would 100% order this every time I come back. We also had the Shredded Cabbage with Sliced Pork (8/10), which was nice and tangy. The cabbage soaked up all the sauce, making every bite packed with flavor, while the pork provided a great contrast to the vegetables. The House Special Fried Rice with Pickle & Beef (7/10) wasn't anything extraordinary, but it served as a great base alongside the other dishes. The pickles were an interesting addition, as I've never had fried rice prepared that way before, but I definitely enjoyed it. Finally, we decided to try the House Special Spicy Frog in Stone Pot (6.5/10) since most of us had never had frog before. The flavor was outstanding, with a great umami depth and just the right amount of spice. The frog itself was a little difficult to eat because of the large number of bones, but the meat was tender and juicy. Replacing the frog with another protein probably would have made it more favorable, but I still enjoyed trying something new and didn't regret ordering it. Overall, Ping's Bistro is a great spot for outstanding Chinese food. Every dish we tried was enjoyable, and there are still so many items on the menu I'd love to come back and explore. The prices are on the higher side, but the quality and flavor make up for it. I'll definitely be back.
