Dragon Wok is a neighborhood restaurant. We order food online and drive two minutes to pick it up. The food is hot and the portions are huge and vegetables are fresh. There is a middle school aged boy at the register who is polite and efficient; I imagine this is a family-run business. I appreciate the ease of picking up dinner and not having to cook, we have never eaten in the restaurant itself. The ambiance is pretty utilitarian. Inconsistent dishes. The Singapore noodles and char siu bao (pork buns) are legit! But, this past Friday, when my husband showed up to pick up our order, it wasn't ready and he had to wait an extra 40 minutes for it. We were understanding because it was Lunar New Year. However when he got home, our order was missing items - most importantly, all of the noodles that we had ordered for longevity! We love this place. Not sure how the previous reviewer got to $46 for just two people, as the entrees average $8-9. My husband decreed that his sesame chicken entrée was the best Chinese he'd had in Albuquerque. And I love their Happy Family entrée, as well as the beef and broccoli. The food is always piping hot and super fresh, even the seafood options. The restaurant is 5-7 minutes from our house, so I order online then get in the car for pick-up. It's a half-star below ABC Chinese, which for me is the Chinese place to beat. Plus, they give you free appetizers (egg rolls, crab rangoons, chicken on a stick, etc.) if your total is over $15. I love free stuff, especially free delicious stuff. The owners are friendly, and the food is fab and fast. I ordered the curry beef (which comes with white rice) and the both the texture and flavor were not satisfying at all. I used to love this place. Now the food quality has just gone downhill. I still ordered from them pretty regularly anyway because it wasn't horrible. Tonight I ordered dinner. At no point did I see that my usual order of beef and broccoli was 1/3rd beef and broccoli and 2/3 pork fried rice until I opened the container. I was sure it was a mistake so I called the store back. To my regret, they showed me that I'd selected the wrong item. I tried multiple times to ask the cashier what we needed to do to fix the error. The best thing about this place is their lunch special. Heck, that's all you ever need to really come here. If you order for dinner or anytime after 3 PM, the prices are a bit expensive, and in my opinion, not worth it since I can use that money for Subway instead. However, if you order anytime between 11 AM and 3 PM during their lunch special, you'll get a really good deal for like 7 bucks. Their lunch special includes any dish on their menu with a side of rice, soup (wonton or egg drop), and an egg roll. Their portions are a lot if you order for lunch so you'll definitely get your moneys worth. If you want to get even more food, call them and say that you're ordering for pickup. They give you a lot more soup since their containers are huge! My little brother and I work out a lot so there are very few restaurants in town that can keep us full and content. The fact that this place does says a lot. No joke at all. As for the location, it's pretty small and clean. Not a bad place if you want to just go in and sit down and eat. I tried it again yesterday and got the orange chicken lunch special with wonton soup and was very pleasantly surprised with how much the food has improved.
