I've tried many of the popular matcha lattes in OC, and I feel like a lot of them are only good when you add a cream top or some kind of fruit puree/mash...or just too sweet for my liking. Not this place. Their matcha latte is genuinely good on its own, and not too sweet at less-less sweet. You can actually taste the matcha, and their lattes are a nice bright green. I also really appreciate that they hand-whisk their matcha. A lot of places use a premixed paste or some kind of pre-made blend, so I really like knowing their extra effort put into my $7 latte. I also noticed they use Nielsen-Massey Madagascar Bourbon Pure Vanilla Extract/Paste in their syrup, which I thought was a nice little indication that they care about the ingredients they use. (It's a good quality brand!) Also, their standard milk is oat milk! Definitely get a salt bread to go with your matcha! It's soft and chewy with a buttery center and is such a good pairing. Pretty solid. I've also had coffee here, and I enjoyed it. I'm not a coffee expert, but I thought it was smooth. It didn't have that over-brewed bitter taste. There's plenty of parking in the plaza, but just be prepared for a long line. It can get pretty busy! This place is small (with most of the space being used for whisking match) and there's no seating, so this is definitely more of a grab-and-go spot. I've only had one bad experience with this place, where my latte was a little too milky and clumpy (which I'm going to attribute as an off-day), but that was only once out of the....ten(?) times I've been here. Overall, this is my go-to matcha spot in OC and one I'll happily keep coming back to!

The cashier came up to us at around 45 minutes after ordering and asked us how we wanted our eggs cooked because she hadn't asked at the beginning, and my friend and I were surprised that they hadn't started until then. Overall I don't think I plan on coming back any time soon. It's pretty close to Peter's Canyon which is a great option for a post-hike meal, but there are definitely other restaurants nearby that have better service and food.

Dragonfly tea bar is better than I expected. Before trying this place out, I had very low expectations. Must be another lollicup, with average popcorn chicken and milk tea. The place has a giant couch with a cute giant bear on top of it, booths on the right and chairs and tables behind the couch. They had like a Chinese theme going on with colorful lanterns hanging above. Their menu was sooo long! I had no idea what to get. The cashier guy probably noticed and told me that the red dragonfly means popular drinks and purple means decafe. I asked him what is the best drink here. And he said that it depends, everyone have different likings. He asked me if there was a flavor that I like. I told him I like blueberry and mango. Then he asked if I wanted a blended drink or a liquid drink. This went on for awhile because I'm very indecisive when it comes to new places, but to my surprise he was quite patient. In the end, I told him to surprise me. I sat on the couch cuddling with the bear. My friends joined me after they ordered. My number was called, and I went up to get my drink. The cashier guy handed me what looked like a water cup. He told me it is the finest water in the land. I was thinking in my head, this must be the most expensive water I've ever bought! He handed me my real drink and said that he hopes I like this drink. We laughed for a bit. I asked him what is this drink and he said bretts favorite. I took a sip, and it was really good!! It had like a blueberryish and mangoish taste to it. I wanted to get him back......so I said this taste really bad ahaha. His expression was priceless, but I told him I was just kidding. We had another good laugh. I tried my friends zucchini, tofu, and popcorn chicken. I really like it! It was served on these boat looking trays. Both zucchini and tofu was tasty. I really like how the tofu was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The popcorn chicken wasn't spicy enough for me, but it was decent. The portion was alright for its price. I'm looking forward to trying out the rest of the food and drinks they have to offer. I had a great experience here! The drinks here are delicious, but creates a heftier hole in my wallet compared to other boba stores. (e.g., 7leaves, Lollicup, Tastea, half&half) However, they have a wide selection of drinks you would find at your classic boba store, Jamba juice, or Starbucks all in one place. The best thing is that I can always be sure that I will leave being satisfied with my drinks by their "Smile Guarantee" sign. I just wish that the prices wouldn't be so high. Service here gave my overall review that push for 5 stars. I want to compliment one of your excellent employees in particular, tall cute girl with the black hat. (mixed asian i assume ) She went to great lengths to help me when my thoughts and decision were in turmoil by my indecisiveness. I have always received quality service here, and -insert name [cute girl]- extended help is a prime example of this. She was patient and knew just what to do to solve my problem quickly. Such service builds great working relationships. I will continue to come here more often when I am in the area. To her: You are always so happy and kind to people, it's like a big breath of fresh air when I walk into the building and see you here! Everything was quite fantastic except the inexcusable lack of staff. How could a place that is supposed to be a quick stop have a shortage of staff??? i mean COME ON?! There was only one young man working during my stop over there and about 6 or 7 customers. It deeply enraged me that there was only one person working making the food whilst taking orders. He did very very good but wow, what a disappointment poor kid having to take so much at once. It's like they expect their workers to have 6 arms! Next time I come I would like to speak to the manager about this situation. Please have more staff this is just so upsetting!!!!! read more

There's a sign next to the register in big bold letters that reads, "We support immigrants and illegals" but yet they're closed on the Fourth of July!?!? Unreal what a sham this business is. How about, "We support the United States of America and thanks to this wonderful country we are blessed to own, operate, and make money running a successful tea bar." This is unique place. I love the ambiance. It's a perfect place for you to stay relax, or doing homework or having a study group or even catch up with friends. But for the drink there is something's wrong or something's missing? The pour over was just ok. They have local variety but I could have had it in regular drinks and it would have been a similar taste. The price was very reasonable. The menu is not simple enough yet their boba drinks are not impressive. The taste was OK! but I was expecting that their ingredients are fresh, but I've notice that the taste was too sugary. read more

Very nice on the inside and the food was amazing. There are a lot of rice dishes, desserts, and drinks. We ordered a couple different appetizers to share followed by dessert. I also got the popcorn chicken which unfortunately was a big miss. It tasted bland and didn't have the fried herbs that I've come to know and love, so it just felt lacking. Overall, I'd come back to grab a drink here if I'm craving boba, but would skip the food. I think it's worth a visit if you're in the area and have a craving.

A few seconds later, a Caucasian couple walked in and went to the same register I had been waiting at and were helped immediately. My sister, who was with me, even asked if I noticed what happened because it was so obvious. I told her yes. My family and I have been coming here for a while, but the new hires have very poor customer service. This experience felt disrespectful and discriminatory, and we will not be returning.

I wish I lived closer because I would go here daily!…read more Stopped by late one evening on my way home -- the amazing aroma floats through as you walk toward Coffee Heist and I was excited before I even got there based on how yummy it smells walking in to store. I got an iced coffee for the next morning and a jasmine tea for that evening -- both were exquisite. The tea was refreshing and the coffee is so flavorful, strong without being bitter and lots of delicious notes. The guy working behind the counter was so kind too -- appreciate his thoughtfulness once he found out I would drink it next morning, he held on putting ice in so it would stay concentrated til the next day. I need to go back and buy a pound or two of coffee -- or maybe they can open one closer to me in LA too :)
