I had to change my rating of this company when I Iearned that there was no permit or inspection when their work was completed. Without an inspection by the city or county, I cannot tell you how good the work is. My mistake was assuming they would get a permit in view of replacing all my original 1949 plumbing. When a company doesn't get a permit, they don't want their work checked by an inspector who is not employed by them. Because other companies had automatically acquired permits for work here - a roofer, an HVAC installer, an electrician upgrading my box - my mistake was assuming Drain King would do the same for such a big job. Shortly after the work was completed, there was a bad leak in my front-of-house faucet that they had installed. They came same-day to fix it, going under the house again. BUT, I asked them "What if this is happening under the house where I can't see?" Since the walls are closed, they would have to be torn open for a thorough inspection, unless if photos would do. read more

Called Drain King out in late 2020 to finish a tub clog that a different company couldn't unclog. They completed the job in 15 min and suggested we get a re-drain done since the pipes were from 1956. Called a few plumbers to get quotes and Drain King came in with the best offer. We had them begin the work last month (Aug 2021). And they completed it in ONE DAY! They originally estimated 2-3 days, but while removing a section of old pipe the whole thing just crumbled. Worst experience I've ever had. Mike came. Took apart underneath my sink. He didn't have the correct tools to finish so he left me with 3" of water in my cabinet under the sink. He then shut off the water before he left. So I can watch my flowers and grass die and can't use outside hose to wash dog, cars etc. He gave me a number for someone to finish and that number doesn't work. Just got serviced the past 24 hours. I was given a free consultation. Cash only!!!!! Our problem was the pipes between our kitchen and bathroom. Seemed to be the original. Our bathroom sink was backed up. The problem was a build up on the sink neck (which I cleaned) but the bigger problem were the pipes in the wall. A hole needed to be cut on both ends of our kitchen and bathroom as the T-pipe was connected on both sides. It needed to be cut out and replaced as well as flushed down below. It was unbelievable and disgusting with some kind of thick oil residue which caused only a third of the water to go thru. Drain King were professional, hard working, very knowledgeable and I highly recommend them. Dont be fooled that they only have a few stars compared to their competitors.
