I had a mainline blockage late at night so I left a message for a call back in the morning. Leslie called me back right at 8am asked me some questions and scheduled me for a 2 hour window at 10am with Joey I get a call back at 9:30 that Joey is stuck on a job but Jacob was 15 minutes out. Drain backup started last November. Six plumbing contractors later after all giving up. Drain Mob came in diagnosed the problem excavated the broken pipe lined the whole system and cleaned and cemented the atrium back to operational in only 1 week. They offered me several options but the re-sleeving was the only viable option to resolve the issue once and for all. The whole crew was careful to not track mud in the house wearing slip on booties and cleaning up after themselves. They also excavated the dirt onto a tarp to not mix it with garden materials and returned what they could back into the holes. All excess material was taken away and disposed of by the crew. The storm drains in my patio were clogged up and I was afraid water would be getting into the house. They were able to clear the drains, and really knew what they were doing because the drains were not properly installed which made it more difficult. I had a fantastic experience with Drain Mob. We had an issue with a clogged toilet. They had someone in the area & therefore were able to have someone over within a couple of hours. Ryan showed up, very friendly & professional. After asking some questions about the issue he walked me through what he was going to do & the cost involved. After having some of our drains back up in our kitchen and garage, several plumbers came out to our home and were unsuccessful in fixing the issue. I called and asked if they could camera both the sewer line and the main water line into the house, and they said they could, and it would be $200 if I had a sewer clean-out (which I did) or $250 if I didn't have a clean-out. I was surprised, as this seemed low, so I asked 3 times for confirmation of the $200 price, which they confirmed. I offered to pay on the phone to avoid a dispute later, but they didn't want to take it. Turns out, it is $250 and just for the sewer cam. When I paid, I asked how long he expected the best of the cast iron pipes to last, and he replied, "Maybe 5 years or so, it's at the end of its expected lifespan." I told him to put that in his report, as we will ask the sellers to replace it now. He didn't mention that at all in his report. So, I expected to pay $200 for a camera of the sewer line and the main line. Instead, I paid $250 for just the sewer cam, and the sewer line needs to be replaced, but he didn't even bother to put that in his report. read more

Right after I got a call from the worker, who said he would be there in 10 minutes. He came in, checked out the situation (a simple clogged kitchen sink that had foiled the three methods that Google advised), got to work, snaked the line and was done in 15 minutes or less. Let me tell you a story of plumbing hell... December 2018, my sewer line became clogged. All manner of disgust, filth, and raw human waste flowed freely into my garage and front driveway. It was horrible. The smell was vomiting inducing, my neighbors became very angry. I next contacted a plumber found on Thumbtack. He showed up and could not reach the clog with a traditional snaking tool. $175 wasted. He then said that I needed a 'jet wash' of the sewer line. He referred an "expert" and "the only guy I trust." The next guy that showed up, was from a company named All Express Plumbing. This "expert" spoke zero English. But yet, he had no problem taking my $500 for his expert 'jet wash.' Five minutes later, he says in broken English that he cannot reach the clog. I became suspicious. Why? Because the 'jet wash' machine looked like it came from a junkyard. It was about the size of a hamster cage and about as effective. So now, I have wasted $675. The expert 'jet washer' that spoke zero English slunk back into his old pick up truck and left me no solution. He just shrugged his shoulders and wished me "good luck." Gee thanks. Next, I go onto Angie's List and find yet another plumber. He shows up with confidence, wanting $150, and proceeds to put his tiny snake into the filthy clogged sewer hole. Yep, minutes later...he shrugs his shoulders and declares defeat. He then recommends a company named Arrow Pipe. And of course, "they are experts, the only people I trust, you can truth them with your life, they have been around forever, the best in the business, I trust them with my own mother, etc. Now, I am down $825 and the problem is only getting worse. My neighbors want to kill me. And so, I took this expert advice and called Arrow Pipe. When they answered the phone, it felt like some sort of stage show. They already knew I would be calling (I suspect) and proceeded to tell me that I needed "an expert sewer jetting, an expert camera shoot, a pipe relining, and a true expert plumber that knows how to fix the toughest problems." How much would all of this cost to solve my sewer woes? $16,000. Yep, you are reading this correctly...$16,000. I dont have $16,000. Not even close. So next I started calling every single plumber listed on Yelp, Angies List, and Thumbtack. I was terribly desperate. One guy, in particular, said, "99.9% of the characters in this industry will do anything to suck you for every nickel." He said to me plainly, please call Drain Mob. Nobody in San Diego has their technology. The equipment they use is expensive, but its the best. They will solve the problem with ease. He was so sure that they could get the clog cleared that he actually guaranteed it. This plumber actually offered to pay whatever the cost, if they could not clear the drain. I was shocked. Next, I called Drain Mob and was greeted by a cheery voice named Leslie. I explained the situation in detail. Instead of making me feel even more terrible and afraid, she said..."I will send over Billy and Jacob, and they will have this problem fixed in short order. It will cost $450, and they will clean all of the disgust and filth from your garage and driveway. She explained that the problem was simply a problem of technology. That they have the ONLY pressure jetting system in San Diego that can tear off roots, trash, critters, plastic toys, whatever. And they can do this over extremely long distances of sewer pipe. NO NEED TO SPEND $16,000 to dig out a pipe. I was extremely skeptical. But she put my mind at ease with plenty of pillow talk. She said, "Dont worry, sleep good tonight, Billy and Jacob will be there in the morning. The problem will be solved." The next morning, what I can only describe as "The Death Star" showed up, being towed behind a clean and bright van. This machine was impressive looking. Hydraulics, cameras, hot and cold water system, long thick hoses colored bright green, gnarly titanium cutting tips that fit on the end of the hoses, etc. It was really impressive. I told Billy and Jacob my troubles. They just laughed and said, "just watch." And watch I did. The next 20 minutes, they sent this impressive beast deep down my sewer line...100 feet...200 feet....250 feet BINGO! They hit a massive root ball and paper mass of frustration and grossness. This machine took to the task and started annihilating everything in its path. The filth flowed forward. The pressure relieved. I wanted to cry tears of joy. Billy and Jacob just laughed. I wanted to hug Billy, but it got weird and so I stopped. They spent more time cleaning and clearing the massive sewer waste in my driveway. When they finally left, all was good in the world again. I called back to Leslie and thanked her about 100 times for solving my problem quickly and affordable. We have been having ongoing issues with the drains in kitchen and tub being backed up and have tried all home remedies and preventative methods to no avail. We feel extremely fortunate to have been directed to Drain Mob (from our inspector) during the purchase of our new home. We had old 3 inch Cast Iron pipes that were on their last legs and a backed up septic to boot. A septic company came in and located and pumped our tank. After that Drain Mob was able to come in and line our pipes with Epoxy, eliminating the need to tear up the concrete in both bathrooms to re-pipe.
