OMG! I was getting so overwhelmed by trying to deal with this 1940's plumbing and the drain back ups. I decided it was time to do something about it. I had cleaned up human excrement for the last time! I'll stick with dog poop in the yard, thnk you very much! I had my normal place come out to clear it out, and he told me that he could not get past a large root clump this time. He maybe had weakened it a little so that it will slowly drain, but not cleared. So I went on the mission of how much is this nightmare going to cost me, and EFF homeownership! My estimates started from $1600 all the way up to $28,000 for clearing and lining or repairing/replacing, etc. The whole array of services. So who tf do I believe? After many arguments, err I mean conversations with my husband (who "thinks" he can fix things, ahem), I made an executive decision to start with hydrojetting, and see what we can clear out and what,if any, damage there actually is to repair, and how bad the situation actually is. That's how I came to Drain Mob. Actually, that's a big fat lie. One of the places I had come over for an estimate told me about them. So that's when I called Drain Mob. I set up an appointment, and in the beginning was a little frustrated that my window had passed and the technician still had not shown up. The company was in contact with me and let me know that the job prior was runnung longer. Whatever, I'm just zoning out anyway. Once he showed up, he introduced himself, Caleb. He apologized for the delay and said that the job was a lot more involved than anticipated. I laughed and told him this one would also be. Caleb was AWESOME! After I explained everything I knew to him and everything that had already been done/tried/DIY'd, he explained the procedure to me and got to work. He explained every step as we went along, and described everything we were seeig on the camera. HOLY S&%$ Batman! My drains were horrendous! I have a good amount of large trees and shrubs, and it certainly shows inside them. Also, it was discovered that I still have original 1940's terracotta pipes! WT-actual-F?! He was able to clear all those stupid Holly roots out of the way, and clear it to the city sewer line. Now I have an idea where it runs also. We then went the other way since the cleanouts we were working on were kinda midline. Going the other direction towards the house, it was disovered (again) that there was a cap, and the line had a Y connector. Putting ttwo and two together, this must have been the "root plug" the other guy couldnt get past. Huh. Caleb was able to angle the camera up the Y connection and follow it into the SLUUUUDGE. Herego, kitchen drain. I went inside and started running various faucets until he saw it on the camers so we could see exactly where everything was connecting to the main line. He of course hydrojetted this portion as well. Turns out, the old cast iron clean out and pipes that would flood the backyard that we all thought was the original problem, wasnt the problem at all. That system appears to be a safety backflow to flood the yard instead of the house if there is a back up. As it did. No one had looked into anything else. I just kept being told that replacement or lining the pipes was what needed to be done. Thank you, Caleb! You took the time to explore it all and make sure we knew exactly where and what everything was. The delay was worth it. The time you took to make sure you had everything cleared out was to my own OCD/ADHD standards! If you need your drains cleared of roots, call these guys, and request Caleb (sorry to anyone else I didn't work with)! You might wait a little longer, but you will see why as he spends as much time that is needed to finish the job properly and not in a timeframe. Give this guy a raise! I strongly recommend Jacob of DrainMob LLC When they say their the leader in drain cleaner believe them. I scheduled an appointment with Jacob of Drain Mob because I had chronic re-occurring mainline backups. twice a month having to continuously call a plumber to unclog the sewage line. Jacob arrived when he said they would. He assessed the problem by running a camera from 4 inch roof vent and sewer line had a small section of original cast iron and the rest was ABS until the property line drop and then it transitioned to SDR Sewer pipe. When completing the camera inspection, found that a section of ABS had shifted due to incorrect bands and created a large offset which is most likely the cause of the back ups. Jacob was very detail oriented, he quoted me price that I believe was reasonable and fair. The repair was completed in short order and he cleaned up afterward. The his final bill was less than his quote. SCOPE OF WORK THEY PERFORMED: 1. Drain Mob excavate on side of house in ice plant approximately 4 feet where pipe had shifted. Once excavated down to pipe, they removed the section of pipe and replaced it with new ABS sewer pipe and husky bands. In addition, They used gravel and properly compact the dirt under the sewer pipe so the pipe cannot shift again in the future. Also, they installed a dual sweep clean-out for servicing the sewer line in the future. A upstream clean-out will was added for the tie in from my garage. Husky bands was used and all dirt was be back filled. 2. Drain Mob also completed a chain flail descale on the small section of cast iron sewer pipe under the house. Last night, we made the mistake of trying to grind up Brussels sprouts leaves in our disposal, which quickly clogged the drain and ugly water backed up in both of the basins in our double sink. We tried several home remedies recommended on the Internet, without success. Today at 1pm, we called Drain Mob and Jacob gave us a super-fast, same-day window of 2-5pm arrival time. At 3:18pm, Andrew arrived to save the day. Luckily, there is a cleanout from the sink on the outside of the house, but even though Andrew didn't have to enter our home, he still wore a mask and gloves as he reached through a slit in the kitchen window and handed me an extension cord to plug in near the sink. He worked quickly and conscientiously, and the pipes were clear in 20 minutes. After rewinding the snake and putting it away in the truck, he came back to wash down the sidewalk in front of the drain, and before he touched our hose, he removed his soiled gloves from the job and replaced them with a new, clean pair. I'll bet that most people wouldn't even notice that small gesture, but I have a medical background and am the caregiver for both of my elderly parents who are at high risk of Covid-19, and I can't put into words how much I appreciated the thoughtfulness and respect that Andrew showed us by changing his gloves. We recently moved into a home that had been vacant for nearly 10 years, so the pipes needed some serious help. I called several companies and got quotes for the job, but none were as professional and courteous as the employees of Drain Mob. I first called and spoke with Neil, fairy new to the Mob, but was still able to answer almost all of my questions. I foresee him climbing the ranks of the Mob and becoming a serious master of the industry. When I needed just a little more in depth help he brought out the big guns in Leslie. Had Drain Mob line all of our main lines with the epoxy lining. 100 total feet, nearly all of which was cast iron from 1954, well past its lifespan. They discovered multiple spots with cracked/broken sections as well as roots invading throughout. The process was fascinating, first scoping with cameras, then chaining out the crud/corrosion buildup, roots, etc., then introducing the epoxy. The lines are essentially like new and saved us from the inevitable, far more costly alternative option of jackhammering our floors. Seeing the before and after videos was amazing. Billy and his crew spent a full week on our project and couldn't have been more professional, thorough and patient with our many questions. I can't recommend them enough. If you have an older home with cast iron pipes, or probably any type of pipe, clay, etc., you need to consider this option before it's too late. I would strongly recommend getting a second opinion before committing to any major work from this company. I called them because my sink was backing up. After a brief inspection, they recommended a massive five-figure project involving ripping up concrete and replacing underground plumbing. It didn't feel like a thorough diagnosis. Thankfully, I decided to get a second opinion. The second plumber quickly identified that the issue was simply a missing drain component, which they picked up from Home Depot. They fixed the problem quickly, professionally, and at a very reasonable cost. No concrete had to be broken, and none of the extensive work recommended by Drain Mob. I'm not saying every situation is the same, but based on my experience, I would be very cautious before agreeing to an expensive repair. Drain Mob is great because unlike other companies they can replace drain pipes, re-line pipes, hydro jet, and snake drains. They are knowledgeable, courteous and professional. We have had repeated problems with clogged drains over the years and have had other companies and plumbers come out to address the problem. Other plumbers said we needed 2 additional cleanouts, but Cody found there was an existing double-cleanout at the far end of the property that was obscured by some bushes. This saved us money and avoided placement of cleanouts in an inconvenient area of the yard. Jesus and Javier did great work replacing the old cast iron drains and preparing the drains for lining. They document their work with videos which you can watch them record. Lastly, Javier and Jesus patched a hole behind the toilet that a previous company caused! Called them for a second opinion after I had someone jet and inspect a clogged sewer lateral. The first guys were able to run the jet all the way to the main and clear the line but they told me there was an obstruction about halfway down they couldn't get the camera past. They wanted 3 grand to dig it up, fix the obstruction, and then would tell me what it was going to take to fix the rest. I had a bad feeling so got a recommendation from a plumber friend who told mentioned Drain Mob. Jacob came out, ran the camera out to the city main with no problem. Showed me the whole thing. Problem was mostly root intrusion under the street that can be handled with either a liner or periodic jetting. The "obstruction" turned out to be a small lip due to section misalignment at the property drop. First guys were either incompetent or more likely setting me up. Glad I called Drain Mob. read more

Drain Mob (858) 212-1940 We hired Drain Mob to reline a short piece of sewer pipe that led from our house to the main sewer line. When they dug down to the pipe they found that after 53 years the cast-iron pipe was completely rusted, filled with tree roots, and needed replacement. This required 2 days more than we had anticipated, with more digging and installation of new sections of pipe. The crew, Tyler and Luis, was very efficient and friendly, and showed great patience with the extra problems that cropped up.
