This was a date night christmas gift from my parents and we have been looking forward to it for weeks. They are unreliable and unprofessional! I had been waiting to try Fresh Off the Boat for a while and finally stopped by for lunch. The…read morespace is roomy with plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. It is a very casual setup, so do not expect an elevated dining experience. We ordered the FOB shrimp and the Chicken Katsu plate. The shrimp arrived a bit too sour and noticeably greasy for my taste. The Chicken Katsu was average and lacked the flavor and crispness I was hoping for. The macaroni and cheese that came with it was also quite dry, which made the plate feel incomplete. Service is minimal since you order at the counter and pick up your food yourself. I went in with high expectations and left feeling disappointed, especially considering how popular the place seems to be. That said, I am still open to giving it another try. There are a few other dishes on the menu that look promising, and I hope they will deliver a better impression on my next visit.

I stopped into Fresh Off Da Boat to pick up lunch after some meetings in the area. Honestly, I'm so…read moresad it's been so long since my last visit, because this place serves up some amazing food. The menu changes depending on what they're making, but they have certain items that are pretty consistent. One of those is poke. I LOVE their poke here, they have their own seasoned poke mix with fresh fish, veggies and sauce and it is delicious. They offer it as nachos, a bowl, or loaded fries and while I'm tempted to try some of the other options the bowl is my go-to. The poke bowl is $15 and comes with rice with furikake as well as a good portion of poke. Like I mentioned, it's preseasoned and it delicious. The ingredients are fresh and I love their flavor combination. I would love if the bowl came with a scoop of mac salad, but with the portion at this price I'm happy to add it as a side. I ordered the spring rolls ($4) and it came with five pieces of crispy and flavorful fried spring rolls. Great value for the price. I also ordered the pork laulau ($14) and Musubi ($3) for my husband and the portions on these were also great. The musubi was hot and flavorful and they gave me some FOB sauce with the musubi that went surprising well together. The laulau plate had mac salad, rice, and the wrapped pork. The pork was fattier than some of the laulau I've had in Hawaii, but was flavorful and the whole plate was a perfect portion for the price. The team working here was very friendly and helped me get in and out with my to-go order pretty quickly. The food was packed with care and made it home and was still nice and hot after the drive. They use high quality to-go containers and line them with aluminum foil which is a nice touch. They also made sure the vents were open on the spring rolls so they'd stay crispy. They have plenty of seating inside, as well as some outdoor seating. This restaurant is a bit tucked away, but has plenty of parking. I will definitely be back, and I won't wait as long between visits, because the food is so good! Check out their instagram for specials.

It also doesn't take much to please me so I'm pretty generous with my reviews. Anyways you can't really go wrong with anything on the menu, especially the chicken. Although I've heard that the soy garlic recipe has changed to be a bit more salty. Which I can't really confirm or deny since it has been a minute, but I think it did lean a bit more salty than memory serves. The seasoned fries are still as solid as I remember for sure. We also got the chicken katsu which was very generously portioned, just forgot to take a pic. Overall this place is a really great spot that I used to frequent, and it was great coming back. I only really stopped going because of fatigue from coming here so often in the past, but the food is still a solid as ever.

I wanted to try their Korean street corn and it was pretty good! The spicy potstickers were delicious! I love spicy and their sauce has a really good kick! We also had the regular fries and those were so crispy! One of the best fries out there. We ordered the 20 pieces wings and sorry picture was after we dug in and remembered to snap a pic after lol .. the wings were crispy and flavorful all in one! With some rice and their coleslaw was great!
