We immediately brought this to their attention. They finally sent someone out to look at the floor and this person advised us what could be done to fix the problem. This was months ago. No one will call us from the Fairfax store to resolve this problem. They've actually walked away from us and their bad work. Please go elsewhere if you need flooring. We spent a lot of money on this LVP and it feels cheap. Flooring America loves to take your money, but if you aren't happy, they don't care. Shop around and find a good company. We will never shop here Again. Never. And we'll make sure to tell everyone we know how they treat their customers.

K&K was able to take up old engineered hardwood and install new engineered hardwood in my entire condo in just three days. The staff worked hard, but with care, right down to placing furniture on cardboard so it wouldn't damage my new floors, and vacuuming up wood scraps at the end of the day so my cat wouldn't get a splinter. When it turned out my dishwasher was leaking, they even helped me remove it so we could put new floors under it. Overall, I would 100% recommend this company. They did great work, and offered great customer service too.

When we had to change the color of the floor during the build (a common process) he was fast to be on site so we could figure out the color along with the house other colors same-day. There were a few boards and tiles needing some replacement for warranty and Brent facilitated interactions with the manufacturer to get new boards and have them installed. His team also recommended a bench seat slab to replace the tile we had so we could change the aesthetic post-construction. His selections are modern and gorgeous. They did tile, hardwood, lvp, and carpet. He and his team are easy to work with. Should we want any changes down the road I'd be happy to contact Brent and Jeanette again. It was a no brainer to choose them. When it comes to the work itself, the craftsmanship was very good, the cuts are so clean and everything looks amazing. They did very fast work without sacrificing quality. The only areas for improvement I would say they could have are: - Communication during the days of the project, so you know without having to ask when they are coming, leaving, what the progress is, etc. - Ensuring when they put furniture and things back that they pay attention to things like hooking up HDMIs back to the correct places - Doing a better job of cleanup -- they left behind a TON of dust coating everything, sawdust in my basement that I presume blew in from leaving the garage entrance open where they were working, cans/water bottles left behind - Building in measurement/space for lower flooring to not leave a gap in the trim; they came back and did some caulking after I had a water/rain issue, but it still doesn't look as good -- I wish that their molding/trim solution filled the big gaps and I'm going to have to find a way to do that myself To their credit, they were very fast and responsive when I had a water issue and came back out the next day. I also had a crack in my basement ceiling where something pounded through or pounded the drywall loose from the flooring above being done, and they credited me enough money back to be able to have my handyman fix it. Derrick competently presented us with quality carpet options and offered a great deal, including high-rated quality padding with a moisture barrier. This padding enhanced comfort extended the carpet's life, and improved insulation and soundproofing. The most rewarding aspect of working with First American was interfacing with only two people, Derrick, and the installation team, and receiving consistent information. Derrick personally visited our home to precisely measure the bedrooms, hall, and stairway. First results were 20% match if that, don't know, too hard to calculate that low. They threw a fit when we demanded they redo them. After second attempt, the poor sanding job was 100% visible as if these hardwood steps had been used and scuffed for 50 years. Sure they finally got the color up to 60% match (still wrong), but here I am left with cheaper pricing on flooring that looks as if it needs to be restored from generations of use. Pay a slightly higher price and go somewhere else. Oh, and I'll remove this review if you come fix the horrendous stain work. Until then, this review stays.
