The walleye had a crispy crust coating the moist and tender fish. I took a bite of hub's sandwich and it was so good. My flatbread, though, was amazing. I'm all about a good crust and this one was perfection. So crispy, yet light with all air pockets in the crust. Of course, I love anything fig and this didn't disappoint. I ate 3 squares and took the rest with me. Of course being at the vineyard, we ordered a glass of wine. My husband had the albariño and I ordered the sauvignon blanc. I didn't care for the sauvignon blanc. When the manager came by, we raved about the food but I was honest about the wine. She gave me a taste of the chardonnay and she was right. It was good. I was happy she switched my wine. The negatives are the wasps are nuisances, and there were no traps to catch them. I was dodging them the entire meal. I guess it's hazard when dining al fresco. The other annoyance was the water glasses are small, and my water was never refilled and my glass sat empty even with Molly and the manager stopping by during the meal. Since the glass is small, they should leave a bottle of water at the table or make it a point to check and recheck the water glasses. This is a nice stop for lunch on the Michigan wine trail.

I call beforehand, look online, check their socials, and still they randomly are never open. I'm starting to wonder if it is a scam, and hope to get a refund on the giftcard I ordered for my dad and I. Other vendors and small business owners could be using this space in Michigan City, and it is rather a waste when others could be supporting the community on a more frequent, dependable basis. Please offer more transparency on this lack of consistency & remove the listed "business hours" entirely from both your website and Google maps when they are fairly often not honored. Wanted to support local and regret it due to the flexibility in their standard operating hours. For the goodness of your brand, and just state your hours are "open when we feel like it".
