We stayed at the hotel for the weekend. Was excited to try the restaurant as photos of dishes looked amazing. We were so disappointed. No taste, no flavor. Dined in twice (maybe it was a bad night the first time in). No, same experience on our second try. Scallops are the best items on the short menu, but not something to remember. Breakfast was, ok. Beautiful set up and good parking. The service was prompt but very unknowable, we all ordered grouper but two of us did not want potatoes. Nobody got potatoes or the spinach and the waiter didn't know the difference. One piece of grouper was a bad cut and had to be sent back. They fixed it but the rest were done eating. read more

Made reservations here while on our honeymoon. The overall atmosphere is amazing, right on the beach, nice outside bar.. the service was no what we expected.. it took awhile for them to even asked us what we wanted to drink. I know the manager walked by a few times just staring and didn't think to ask us if anyone has been over to check on us or if we were celebrating anything.. I used to be a server for 8 years. Overpriced and the food is just ok. There was a 2 hour wait for a table inside so we opted to sit outside at the pools dining which was as actually better than inside as it was quieter. Came here today for a quick lunch. Got the rum runner (frozen) for a drink and the steak burger with truffle fries. The drink was somewhat small, but was really good. The server accidentally brought out normal fries, but shortly came out with truffle fries after telling her the mistake. The burger and truffle fries were awesome, but glad I chose the truffle fries as the normal fries were quite disappointing and dry. Coming from NJ and NYC our standards are high. This is my favorite place within St. Lucie, Stuart and Jensen beach area. I love the small community feel to this area but the restaurant need to step up significantly to match the style snd feel of this hotel and restaurant as a whole. 5 stars all around. read more

We enjoyed a lovely dinner for 7 on a busy Sunday night. I ordered the most delicious red snapper on a bed of grits, with green peppers and onions. It was moist, tender, and delectable. My guests enjoyed the carbonara pasta that was so large and filled with so much bacon and pancetta they could hardly finish. My husband had the most beautiful plate of 3 delectable scallops on a bed of rice and sauce, the only problem was it was a tad small. my mother was in the pizza mood and savored the Marguerita pizza. My brother couldn't finish his gorgeous NyStrip. The service was top notch. The desserts were out of this world we tried four! The blueberry cobbler was rated the best with the three scoops of Italian custard, banana bread pudding, and strawberry cheese cake following closely behind. We had that tuna poke and crispy calamari also had a woodfired pizza custom made. I was happy that they accommodated the custom made pizza. We also had drinks, my wife hade a mimosa, local craft beer and a nice earl gray tea. I had a makers mark Manhattan and a mocha latte. All the drinks were very good. FYI the Manhattan was awesome and I'm pretty picky when it comes to this drink. Food was awesome. We will definitely be back to try dinner and stay a few nights. read more

Nice place with great views and atmosphere. Tried it twice last year and was not overly impressed. Just ok. This time, a totally different experience from start to finish. The hostess was very pleasant. Server was perfect. Friendly and humorous, without being intrusive, and assistant server/ busboy was always checking for refills on water and removing dishes. The first time I was not real happy with my pasta dish. A short rib over pappardelle, which was overcooked, which is easy to do with fresh homemade pasta. This time however the pasta was cooked perfectly for those who had pasta. I took a safe route with Tuscan Chicken which was exceptional. I suspect they have hit their stride after an initial onslaught of business and missteps after opening. So happy we gave it another try. read more

Second time visiting Drift. First time was for a birthday dinner, decent food ok service. Second time was for Mothers Day and it was a disaster. If it wasn't for our second server that stepped in and saved the experience to the best of her ability I would give zero stars. We were seated by the pool bar and given a server who was brand new and also serving all of the people swimming and eating poolside. We were a party of 11 and it took maybe 30 minutes to get our drinks. When brought to the attention of managers that this lack of service was not acceptable, she seemed to be annoyed with our displeasure and not at all apologetic. They are serving a mothers day lunch with a menu of Prime Rib and Halibut and giving guests paper napkins and plastic wear to eat....WHAT??? This is wrong on so many levels. Managers here do NOT care. Period. They bout face and leave it to the server to deal with. My son's chicken sandwich was served uncooked and he bit into bloody chicken. Another entree was served fried, not grilled as asked.. had to go back to the kitchen....food came when all were already finished eating. Again, not at all the servers fault and she was actually very apologetic for our experience. Drift, for the prices you charge you better hire some managers who actually care about their patrons. This was one of the worst places I have ever been. First of all, the temperature in the restaurant was unbelievably cold. Thankfully most of my party had brought a sweater thinking we may sit outside by the breezy beach. Who knew it would almost be snowing inside. I ordered the roasted chicken penne. It was by far the worst meal I've ever had. The penne was mushy. The white cream sauce may as well have been watered down, unseasoned Ragu, and the chicken in the pasta was disgusting! It was dark meat with SKIN on it!! It looked like they took a supermarket chicken and grabbed some off with their hands and ripped it apart. Honestly, only someone who lost their taste due to Covid could have maybe eaten this dish. I would not waste my money on this place! I would give them a 0 if I could. read more
