Great unless you want an empty table with a view. From start to Finnish .this property has been a disappointment. The service all around has been less than par for the prices . We even have issues getting uber or lift to go anywhere . I felt stuck. Some staff were nice but my experience here over all and at the lido inn is less than for the price point here. I feel like a second class person here. I was here For my 50th and valentines day i should have stayed home. Instead had breakfast at a tiny place in siesta keys way better service ! Would not know about the food did not stay to eat at this place . Went back to give this another try because we are staying here and Trish was absolutely the worst...asked for a window seat and she told us that they did not have them available then after being a complete nonhuman who is here to give customer service sat us at a window seat ... she was terrible..if she give customer service then i would think i was at Denny's. Trish was not welcoming from the beginning and she is the one who sets the mood really ! I am disgusted. read more

Brand new spot located at the Lido Beach Resort! The renovations are gorgeous with views of the key and beach at every table! A great spot for breakfast, lunch, or dinner! We had breakfast right when they opened, getting a great table with ocean views. I got the blueberry pancakes, which were good, but the chorizo hash was the real winner of the day! Roasted chicken to die for. The Executive Chef Michael hit the ball way out of the park. Beyond exceptional, exceeding all expectations. We used to have a house in the South of France and I was sure there would never be a roasted chicken as good as the rotisserie chickens there. So I will say that the view is amazing and the decor is absolutely beautiful and fresh. It's recently remodeled and I can't say enough about how beautiful the room is.. Now to the negative part.. unfortunately.... we started off walking through the hotel lobby to get to the restaurant, which is a little difficult to find and wow, that lobby almost scared me off. Circa spring break 1987. The hostess was great (I know there have been some negative reviews about being seated) we were seated immediately. Our server was NOT great. She was a bit slow and didn't seem to make much of an effort. I only had one drink because I didn't want to ask her for another and have to wait. (Lets just say it's not the right career for her). The Buratta was as described in other reviews... 4 tomatoes and not much flavor. My husband's gnocchi was overcooked and only 2 Shrimp in the entire dish. The view is breathtaking and they really need to find their stride so they can capitalize on the location. I was wary going in because of other negative reviews, but we did it for the sunset. If you don't mind mediocre service and food, but want a spectacular view, I would try it read more

Had a group of 10 people go there and we had fun at the tiki bar downstairs and later loved the decor and service and view in the 8th floor restaurant. My New England clam chowder was the best I ever had. But I didn't pay attention and my Gemelli entree had almost no olives or grilled chicken or cherry tomatoes. the same was pretty much true for the gemelli that one of my guests ordered as well. We had a reservation here on our second night of vacation. It seems as if the restaurant is newly renovated!! The decor was beautiful and the view was amazing! My mom and I split a Caesar salad and it was delicious. Very fresh and crisp! The complimentary bread was also a hit! For our main entrees my mother got a pasta, I can't remember which one, but it had red sauce and olives. She thought it tasted really good. I had the salmon, and it was very delicious. This restaurant has potential. We visited on a Saturday night for my 50th birthday. We were a party of 13, although reserved for 15. I highly recommend this restaurant for ambiance and service alone. The place is designed in beach chic. Our server, Hannah, was attentive and so pleasant! The rest of the staff was kind and wished me a happy birthday. Some members were abrupt and off but not enough to make a difference. These 2 areas are why they got 4 stars. The food.. overpriced for a meal that appeals to my eyes but not to my taste. Grouper and salmon plates were missing the bite that reminds you of why you're paying avg $30+ plate. Also, I requested a room to dine by the sunset. Instead we were seated in a private room facing east. Although the view was amazing through floor to ceiling windows, we wanted the sunset. Thankfully the 3-top of nice women, in the perfect room for us, did not mind us taking over for pictures. And forget it if you're trying to call the restaurant. On multiple occasions I tried to reach the restaurant and at different times, no one answered. The phone just rang. But again, there is potential. It's views are amazing. The wine is cold. We had a disappointing experience. We made 3 attempts to go to this restaurant for the view. Unfortunately, every time we tried the baby sitter would cancel or someone got sick and we couldn't make it. Finally, on our wedding anniversary it was going to work out. We made the reservation, requested seating by the window to look out at the view. Mind you, the ambiance of the restaurant is why we chose to go here. You can get seafood or pizza anywhere in Sarasota so the menu wasn't the must have for going. We were seated in the back corner of the restaurant- not near the windows. Couldn't even see the ocean. I said something to the hostess that I had requested window seating when I booked the reservation and she really didn't care. She said they had nothing available. If she had said, sure hang tight at the bar and as soon as a table opens up we can move you we would have happily waited. We saw a couple leave next to the windows and saw her sit another couple down. We hadn't ordered yet, so we left. At this point I felt the hostess was rude and I didn't want to give the restaurant our money. Ended up getting take out- which was not the dinner we had hoped for our anniversary. read more

I paid $17 for the Al Forno pasta that had 0 flavor and basically tasted like buttered noodles and came with 4 tiny shrimp... I didn't even finish it. Then I left my ID at the house, the waitress asked if I had a picture of it and I did so I showed that to her and I was served a glass of wine. Then she came back to ask me for a refill on my wine and told me I couldn't get another glass because I didn't have my physical ID. Which why serve me in the first place? I'm 24 years old. Not super upset about it but the food had no flavor. I will not recommend this place, everyone else who ordered other dishes could agree that the food was flavorless and way over priced. If you're in this area and looking to have a nice dinner go to Shore, Venezia is good too. I'm from out of town and heard a lot of great things about the view- especially since their new renovations. I was looking forward to some drinks and apps with a small group of 3 but the hostess not only lacked basic people skills but would not sit us when a another table of 3 left minutes before. I don't mind waiting, especially with safe social distancing measures in effect, but this hostess had no method to her madness. We waited for a good 10-15mins in the nearby vestibule but got no updates while she greeted new patrons and attempted to accommodate them before us. Someone new needs to be running the door especially during these trying times. You're losing both referral and repeat customers because of poor management.
