Dined at the bar at least a dozen times with my wife and friends & it's always been an awesome experience until this afternoon. We sat at the corner of the bar and were served our drinks within 10 minutes. It went downhill after that. The two bartenders were focused on their friends at the end of the bar, doing shots and ignoring us and other patrons. I had to speak loudly to ask the bartender to please take our food order after 15 minutes. Felt like we were interrupting them. Food was great as usual, but had empty glasses on the bar and had to tear away the bartender from his buddies to get a second round. Again, we felt like we were an interruption. Waited 15 minutes with my CC on the bar and only got attention when I directly asked if we could please pay our tab and was met with an annoyed look from the bar tender. The owner typically works the floor and asks if everything is ok - unfortunately he didn't stop by this time. I know that they will continue to be busy and the lack of our continued patronage won't affect the bottom line, but felt like I needed to say something. read more

After an hour and a half or arguing with my husband about why I feel something should be said, I'm editing my review. Drifters is a great restaurant. My husband and I have been going regularly since they opened. They have delicious food and lovely staff. Unfortunately there is one bartender that continually ruins our visit and her name is zen. I had written a lengthy review outlining some of the many things we have experienced with her in our time going there, but my husband has asked me to please delete my review and not get involved. I will not delete my review, but I will shorten it to say the above, and that unfortunately sometimes one bad apple does spoil the bunch. After how we were treated, and how we've seen others treated by Zen, my husband has made it clear that he no longer wishes to go there for the occasional meal or drinks. Which upsets me because we don't get a lot of time out with our little guy at home. And on the off chance that we do get a sitter for a few hours, drifters is very close to our house and we've always considered that a win. read more

My second time at Drifters since they've opened and I cannot wait to go back! Outdoor decor beautifully set up for Valentine's Day, but I have driven by for Christmas time and it was just as beautiful. As for the food, there were many dishes I was excited to try, including weekly specials. I decided on the fried pickles which I had just seen a post about. I rarely finish an appetizer (it was shared!) but we didn't leave a crumb! Very delicious! Perfectly flavored! For entree I enjoyed the short rib ragu and my friend ordered the chicken cordon bleu. Serving sizes were huge and we both took half dinner home. The ragu was very flavorful. And my friend could not stop talking about the cordon bleu! We tried to celebrate my husband and son's birthdays there on December 19. I know they don't take reservations so we got there at 5:30 and even that was too late. We were told it would be a 40 minute wait when we arrived. Due to traffic getting there we decided to stay. Well 40 minutes turned into an hour, which turned into an hour and 15 minutes and we still had not been seated. Poor handling at the hostess station, kids running the show which is part of the problem. I get it that they don't need to take reservations but they should. It's really poor service to keep people waiting that long for bar food. After an hour and 15 minutes we left. We won't be back. I'm sure my review won't be acknowledged; looks like the owner only comments on the 4 and 5 star ratings. read more

Always delicious and fresh food. Skirt steak with chimichurri sauce, burnt broccoli and fried rice is my go to but the NY strip is just as good! My husband always orders the steak nachos to start which obviously are great, and he has tried almost every meat entree on the menu and has never been disappointed or thought anything could have been different. Love the drive through that has been incorporated into drifters from the old McDonald's. Just wish people would put their heads together and know not to park there as it does not allow traffic to get through. Beautiful ambience not only on the inside but more importantly on the outside. Holiday season is our favorite time to come here of course but honestly we love to just drive by to see the masterpiece of decorations. A job well done to all! read more

Drifters is the best spot around for date night! Service is fast, professional, and friendly. The food is consistently great! I had the short rib which was tender and fell right apart in a delicious sauce with mashed potatoes, and the nachos are an entire course to themselves! This place was crowded when we came in but the wait time wasn't bad. I came with a group of 5 and we went right to the bar grabbed some drinks and chatted until our table was ready. The white sangria was delicious and I would definitely recommend trying it. The apps and the meals were delicious and came out quick. I visited this place recently as my first restaurant outing since everything started to open up. This place is new and didn't even get to have their grand opening yet. They had lots of booths and tables, as well as a bar area and what looked like a sun room with couches and chairs. There was outdoor seating available as well. I ordered the Santa Fe Chicken salad which was lacking appeal, it came with the option of fried or grilled chicken so I chose grilled; but it was a little more blackened then I liked. The toppings were also minimal. My husband had the Southerner burger which he found to be delicious, but the fries were sub-par. So ive been here a least 4 times in the past few years ..yes large portions mediocre food ....but no vegan dishes! In this day and age ....( im dating myself) A baked potato'? Grilled veggies??? My Mom and I have been here before for both Lunch and Dinner. Yesterday it was lunch. We both had to Cobb salad which was 5 star and the French Onion soup as an appetizer. It was "Ok"..I've had better at a Diner. I would have given 5 stars on this review if the service was better. We were seated at the last booth in the bar area. It took over 5 minutes before our waitress made an appearance. Asked if wanted drinks which my Mom ordered a hot Tea. The runner brought it out in about 2 minutes. Good. We didn't see our waitress for another 10 minutes! Bad. I noticed that she was also bartending at the same time. (The bar only had 3 customers). During our entire lunch no one picked up our appetizer plates. The bus boys and runners were passing us quite frequently. Why did no one clear? The waitress NEVER came back to ask if my Mom would like another Tea..which she would have...or if we needed anything else. I had to get her attention from behind the bar to bring us the check. She never even suggested Desert which would have increased the bill and gotten her a bigger tip. Management should pay more attention to what is happening on the floor with the customers. This is NOT the first time the service has been like this so I felt a need to review it. Be prepared to have a 1.5 hour lunch when you go because of the crappy service. We order food and picked it up at the drive thru. When we got home to our surprise, we realized that they forgot a couple of items from our order. We called to complain about what had happened and were told that there's nothing they can do. We asked if we could get credit for the shortage and they said no. We then asked if we could speak to a manager or supervisor and they said it's not going to make a difference, they're going to tell you the same thing. I go here once or twice a week. Its close by and convenient. The atmosphere is very festive but noisy so if your looking for a romantic spot, this is not it. Its a great place to catch up with friends, watch some games or bring the kids. The prices are fair considering everything is so expensive but I don't care, I believe in supporting homegrown establishments and these guys are local and have done alot for the community! You get excellent apps, quality entrees and great drinks with friendly staff! Have there been off nights? Absolutely! But honestly they all have sucky nights on occasion. Have heard all good things & been hoping to try this place for a while, got our chance this evening. Alex, our waitress, was both attentive and super nice. We enjoyed everything we had from the appetizers to the main courses and drinks. All the dishes were generously portioned and I really particularly enjoyed the Drifter-A-Rita flatbread. A friend told us about Drifter's kitchen and bar. After a very busy day and a late lunch we were happy to find that they were open until 11 PM. We were seated at a cozy booth and our server Ashleigh was very nice and professional. After perusing the menu which is extensive, we decided to get two different sandwiches. I opted for the fried fish, it was crispy cod, served with tartar sauce, leaf lettuce ,tomato and red onion. For my side I opted for the sweet potato fries, as I had not had them in the recent past. The portion of fish was very generous, crispy and flavorful. The sweet potato fries could've been a little bit more crunchy but they were satisfying nonetheless. Hubby decided to get the prime au jus. A very generous portion on a crispy hoagie roll. The beef was tender, melt in your mouth. For his side he ordered the onion rings. I must say that they did a very good job with those.
