Heard about this place on Facebook numerous times. Decided to make the 45 minute drive out for lunch. It did not disappoint! It was crowded on a Saturday for lunch. Didn't think my friend and I would be seated without a wait, but we were. I ordered a Caprese BLT. It had lettuce, tomato, fresh mozzarella and bacon on white bread. It was quite tasty. However, I feel a different type of bread would have been better than a simple white bread. It came with fries. Fries were just okay. Needed seasoning. My friend ordered a pulled pork flatbread. It smelled so good! She enjoyed it. To drink, I went with their house beer, which was good. Service was good. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. Their menu is extensive! A really great local hotspot. Warning: It gets super crowded and they don't take reservations. It's a good place with a large menu and fun atmosphere, so worth a wait but if you go before 5 or so you can get a table easily on a weekday! The building used to be a place with takeout, so they actually have a really great system to handle to-go orders. They have a nice selection of weekly specials that I often find myself trying. Usually at least one special sandwich and/or burger, one special flatbread, one special soup, and an entree or 2. I've enjoyed flatbreads (which has a GF option), the turkey burger, some specials, and the nachos are awesome. read more

Love this place! I've been here a few times and finally am going to write a long overdue review! Walking into the restaurant itself is nice because they always have great decorations. The inside is also nicely decorated with a nice fireplace towards the back. The place always looks spotless which is a plus. For appetizers we tried the fried pickles... which if you love fried pickles I'll just say that I really enjoy these because the breading doesn't just come off when you bite. We tried the fried cheese curds which were nice and crispy, not over salty and the dipping sauce had a nice peppery flavor. The wings were amazing, very juicy and not overly saucy. Also ordered the beat and goat cheese salad which was delicious as well! Now many times when you go to a restaurant the salads are a pretty big portion, this portion in my opinion was on the smaller side so if you're hungry order extra food! Atmosphere: sat outside in the back on the patio. Heat lamps kept us warm. Service: very good. Out waiter was young, efficient and friendly. Food: very good. The stuffed crab was very tasty. We went here one day for lunch while visiting my aunt who lives close by. I'm so glad that this place is now here instead of McDonald's. I was pleasantly surprised and pleased that the food was really good. Service was good. It was a bit confusing and I guess maybe they need more staff as most places do these days. One other thing for not giving 5 stars is the drinks should have been a happy hour special price being that it was so early. We got the mozarella planks as an app. They came out hot, crispy and the cheese was stretchy. The flavor was incredible. They were plated beautifully and sprinkled with Parmesan cheese. We each got a drink I got the spicy watermelon margarita, my daughter got the pomegranate cosmo and my aunt a glass of wine. The drinks were strong and delicious. The margarita was very spicy. For our entrees we got the French onion dip sandwich with the homemade chips, the fish sandwich which was massive and delicious it came with fries and my daughter got the same sandwich as my aunt. Went to Drifters last night, 4 people mixed ages 40-7o! No wait, waiter was great as well as food. One drawback music got increasingly loud as the evening went on. This made talking louder and more difficult to hear each person. Upon leaving one of the people in the party inquired at front desk if other people complained about the loudness; person replied "yes" all the time. Beautiful decorations outside! read more

Listen, I don't often review a restaurant more than once, but this place just...gets it. The service is terrific. Melissa made us feel like the only family in a crowded restaurant. At one point I dropped a knife and a young man popped out of the air vent and asked if I needed a new knife. This type of culture only comes from ownership. They care. And so the staff cares. The food is always great. This time we tried the wings (again), poutine, carne asada Caysa Dilla (shout out Napoleon Dynamite), and a brownie sundae. Yum. Yum. Yum. I don't often feel like I get my hard-earned money's worth, but this place can have direct access to my bank account. I kid I kid. read more

Wala..this time we found a spot and were given a table immediately..meant to be! Although crowded, our server was there for us and took drink orders right away. Shortly after we got an appy of Nachos...was really good! We saw another table with the Calamari which looked terrific and was a good sized portion.,.,next time! Our mains were Seared Tuna Salad, Skirt Steak Salad and the other couple shared a rack of Baby Backs. Theres many choices on the large menu and from the looks of things people are enjoying the fare. Drifters has an aura that is not available in the surrounding area...Its a fun place, good drinks and even though crowded pretty good service. Food was really great. We celebrated my friend's birthday here. I spoke with the manager earlier in the day he was very friendly over the phone and greeted me kindly in person. They put us in the back which was perfect so we could just laugh and enjoy. Service was good but when we needed our server we had to ask for someone to get her, since again, we were in the back & it was VERY busy! The only thing we all thought was weird was that when a server brought out a plate for one of the girls, he dropped it, looked at us, and just walked away with it. No one acknowledged anything or said "it'll be just a minute" it was very awkward. Anyways, the manager brought out birthday shots which were colorful with a sprinkled rim and (idk what was in it but it looked like a milky liqueur). The place was really nice as well as the bathrooms. The apps were great, the meat in the salad was kind of cold idk if that's normal. But the dressing was very good. After waiting a really long time we tried out Drifters in Ridge. We started with the pulled pork tots app which were as amazing as I had hoped - I need that crema sauce on everything! I had the strawberry mango punch (way too sweet for my taste) and my husband had the death by chocolate drink which was like a mudslide - he liked it. For our mains we had The Tennessee Chicken sandwich (so good!) With the side salad which was fresh and colorful and he had the housemade papardelle with short rib and my super picky husband said it was delightful with a side Caesar. We've come here twice now and both times were a great experience. You know it's good because you have to wait to get a table. At least you can grab a drink in the bar and maybe you'll luck out with some standing room. We came over the summer and got a few different drinks. I should have reviewed them so I could remember. I want to say mine was a pear martini. It was strong and tasty, just how it should be. We only ended up getting apps the first time, no dinner, because we were just too full. We just went again last week for my friend's birthday dinner and I got the braised short rib. It was really good. It has mushrooms in the gravy though which I detest. Before I ordering, I asked if they could omit that. When they brought my my food it had tons of mushrooms so I don't know if the waitress forgot to write it down or the cook messed it up, but they were big enough pieces I just scraped them out and she gave me extra gravy without them. read more

First time there. It's relatively new. I think they've done a great job with the place. The decor is nice and I love the side of the restaurant that has access to the bar and big garage doors that they can open in warm weather. A brilliant idea. They have TV's everywhere so im sure it will be asses and elbows during football season. The drink menu is creative and extensive, as is the food menu but the drinks need work in my opinion. The calamari here is amazing. The staff and service was friendly and on point. The food was fresh and ample. We'll be looking forward to trying several other things on our next come back! This place has excellent food, but the problem is it is so difficult to get into. They don't take reservations, and there is usually a line of people waiting to be seated. The service once you can get in, is awesome. The servers are attentive and friendly, and even though it is always busy, they are right on top of things. They also have healthy choices on the menu, although it's much more fun to order the "bad" stuff when you're here. I do love the energy of this place, and the outside decor is really beautiful. They also change the lighting for different seasons, and holidays. If you want to get in for dinner, you need to go early, and you should call them to see how crowded it is and the wait time. This is my revised review for Drifters. I have been here many times and yes, the wait is sometimes really crazy. So my husband and I went last week with another couple for a late lunch/early dinner. We were seated right away and our server came over as soon as we sat down. It turned out that she was also tending bar, but she was so great that we never waited for anything. The drinks here are absolutely delicious! My favorite is the Jalapeno Margarita, and they really are the best here! I order them almost every time I go out, but no one makes them like the bartenders at Drifters! The food is also always great, and I ordered the same thing I usually order here, which is the Quinoa shrimp wrap, because it is so delicious! I did taste what everyone else ordered too, and it was also awesome! The coconut shrimp app was amazing, and so were the wings. The restaurant wasn't that crowded when we got there, but when we left around 4:00, more people started coming in. I think everyone knows to get there early. The only down side of going out this early is that once you start having a couple of Jalapeno Margarita's, all of your plans for doing something constructive the rest of the day is kind of done! Wow. Ok. So close to a 5 star rating. Got there early on a Friday night. 4:30 to be exact. The place was already hopping. No wait, got seated right away. Our waitress was so cute and friendly. My gray goose martini was ice cold. Slight chips of ice just how I requested. Bravo!!! We were a party of 6. We did a few appetizers. Calamari, great Asian dipping sauce, the loaded tots, and a flat bread pizza called Drifta-A Rita. Roasted heirloom tomatoes, provolone, mozzarella EVOO, and balsamic drizzle. Fantastic ! My of us got the pork chop with hot cherry tomatoes, onions, peppers, eggplant and potatoes ! Perfect ! My husband got the skirt steak, cooked perfectly rare! He loved it ! 2 others got the prime rib baguette sandwich. Side of fries. They also lived it. Great portions. We all had doggy bags. Went in to desert even though we couldn't move we were so full. During our meal Lou Lou took care of our needs. On her game, never missed a beat. Tried the chocolate cheese cake, brownie Sunday, rainbow cheese cake and a Nutella stuffed donut bomb. Everything was spot on. Everything was truly amazing. Presentation was well thought out and executed. Ok, all and all not one complaint. Lou Lou added to the experience. What bugged the hell out of all of us, was the bus boy who literally had us constantly clearing the table. He stood at the front of the table asking for our dishes, or our glasses, used I napkins throughout the whole dinner. This is what took them down a notch. Everything went amazing. We had my daughter's 30th surprise party here today. I can't say enough great things about this place. The waitresses, Hailey and Selma, were so friendly and so professional they made the event pure joy. The food was excellent. We had several appetizers for the tables and then everyone ordered from the regular menu. Everyone, said the food was magnificent. Only 4 of the 25 guests had ever been to Drifters prior. Everyone continued to rave about their meals. We will be back. I know Drifters just found some new customers from our group. I highly recommend this place for a party as well. Just the smoothest 20+ party I have ever hosted. We did not have a private room, but the dining rooms are so well set up that you aren't on top of other tables and we really felt as though we were in a private setting. And from the pictures that were taken, it is obvious that customers who were not in our party were enjoying themselves and not feeling disturbed by a crowd. Picture a very upscale T.G.I. Friday's. I would say Drifter's food is good bar food, the star of the show is all the other things they excel at. Awesome service, decent prices & the holiday decorations that are the best I've seen. Was on a trip out East and decided to check this place out. Heard a lot of good things about it on various foodie sites. It definitely lives up to the hype. We split the skirt steak salad and the cheese curd appetizers. The portions were large and the food was very good. We were starving and still had leftovers. Dined at the bar at least a dozen times with my wife and friends & it's always been an awesome experience until this afternoon. We sat at the corner of the bar and were served our drinks within 10 minutes. It went downhill after that. The two bartenders were focused on their friends at the end of the bar, doing shots and ignoring us and other patrons. I had to speak loudly to ask the bartender to please take our food order after 15 minutes. Felt like we were interrupting them. Food was great as usual, but had empty glasses on the bar and had to tear away the bartender from his buddies to get a second round. Again, we felt like we were an interruption. Waited 15 minutes with my CC on the bar and only got attention when I directly asked if we could please pay our tab and was met with an annoyed look from the bar tender. The owner typically works the floor and asks if everything is ok - unfortunately he didn't stop by this time.
