Went there for lunch. Amazing experience all the way around. I will definitely be back for the food…read morethe atmosphere and the service and the beer selection. ATMOSPHERE Nothing too special about the atmosphere here. I just love that. It was nice clean open area with large windows and plenty of seating and easy to get around. The bar area look cool and the layout was nice. FOOD this is why you came here, right! All kinds of fish cooked all kinds of different ways. Delicious gumbo. Love that pimento cheese ball appetizer with that blueberry pepper jelly! For lunch, I had the meat and three. It was all good, especially the collard greens. SERVICE THIS WAS MAYBE SOME OF THE BEST SERVICE I HAD THE WHOLE TIME I WAS IN ORANGE BEACH THIS WEEKEND. OUR SERVER WAS SO AMAZING. I HATE THAT I CAN'T REMEMBER HER NAME, BUT SHE WAS ON TOP OF IT AND SUPER DELIGHTFUL. DRINKS The bar area looked really nice. Most of my table had iced tea which everybody enjoyed. I also got a beer from the Mississippi Gulf Coast. I was very impressed by their beer selection and they are a verified venue on the Untappd app so you can go to that app to look at all the beer selection and even filter and sort the beers so that you can have an easier time selecting the proper beverage. It even came out in a glass that matched the beer that I had! I like that extra touch.

They had a meat and three sides which is a southern thing. I chose the fresh catch. with side salad, boiled red potatoes, and greens. I had asked the server for the salad first. But it was brought with the meal. The salad was fresh and crisp, with a surprise of a small Peppa dew pepper. Blazing red with a little heat and delicious. Haven't seen them in a restaurant ever. Unfortunately my fish and potatoes were cold, cold and butter congealed. The greens were warm and good I had also ordered the cornbread. It was refreshing to see that it wasn't the usual cake like kind, plus not the ultra sweet kind either. More bread like with a hint of sweetness. Delicious. The fish and potatoes had a nice flavor but unfortunately the cold food spoiled the experience. Since I was a guest of my sister I didn't say anything about the cold food. What a disappointment. Maybe when I return things will be better.

Not our first time here but it's always amazing!! We go for a company dinner and have a buffet…read moredinner in the private dining room. The buffet included cowboy caviar, spinach dip with tortilla chips and pita chips, green salad, cheese grits, macaroni and cheese, asparagus, a grilled fish, fried shrimp and chicken fingers. It was all well seasoned and delicious! Dessert was cookies and an AMAZING chocolate chip bread pudding that was some of the best I've ever had!! I also had a lemon drop martini made with raspberry vodka and it was great as well. It's not on the menu so you have to ask for it. We also went another day and had dinner from the menu. I had the fish if the day which was a grilled snapper that I had Oscar style topped with crab, served with a cheese risotto, It all went together well and was scrumptious! I forgot probably the best part, the barbecue shrimp appetizer! It was so good, the Cajun sauce was perfect, not too spicy and very creamy. They serve it with French bread and it was a great tool to eat the sauce with!

Our server was great and gave us some space as we caught up prior to ordering. Nothing too exotic for this meal as we both ordered the Cobalt wedge salad. Very pleased with the salad as it balanced all the ingredients nicely. Server did not rush and took our picture at our request after the meal. Cobalt also offers baked goodies in the way out along with an extensive selection of gifts and souvenirs. It had been a while since my last visit but I'll make a note to return again soon with the wife.

After searching for a place to eat in Gulf Shores for almost an hour, we finally found this place…read morewith no wait. We got a table upstairs outside and we were greeted pretty quickly. We got the crab and crawfish cakes as an appetizer & it was pretty good. The crawfish taste a little old but not all of them. For our meals, we each ordered the seafood stuffed potato and I ordered a pound of snow crabs. Snow crabs were really good! Nice season and fresh (not bad price either). The seafood stuffed potato was ok. The shrimp could not be removed which I was bummed about. Also, the crawfish tasted gross in it. The potato tasted very very dry. No butter provided. At the end of our meal, we asked for a box and put the potato inside. The potato broke apart revealing all the crab meat at the bottom. Once trying it, I realized how foul it was!!! All the meat in the actual potato was gross. The scenery and service was nice but food not so great.

This joint has always been more of a late night dive bar that also made really good food. They…read moreserved huge portions of fried seafood, raw oysters and actual New Orleans poboys served on proper Leidenheimer bread. They did always seem short staffed and sometimes food came out slow when it got crowded so that was the only real downside. I also was able to enjoy a Thanksgiving meal here and it was excellent and far better than I expected. They even offered a Thanksgiving poboy which I only know of 2 places in New Orleans that do that with the one at Parkway Bakery getting huge lines for their version. I was sad to hear that they just closed on October 12th 2025. The good news is that they are opening a new location in Port St. Joe, Florida about 25 miles west of Apalachicola. I hope to visit them at their new location someday sooner than later. I hate for Orange Beach to lose another great dive spot with good to great food served later into the night.
