She kept commenting how my lashes are naturally long and asked why I'm getting extensions in....well, needless to say they're not long anymore. When she was done and tried to smooth out the lashes with the brush, it kept getting stuck and tangled - not a good sign. Looking in the mirror I could see clumps of glue attached to multiple lashes. Instead of one extension per lash, it was one extension glued together to multiple lashes. Trying to get them to stay the right direction with the spool brush was almost impossible since she didn't glue them on correctly. My Response to Josh: I figured that Josh would feel the need to protect himself. The only way Josh could defend himself was to lie about his non- compliance to his contract terms and condition. What he says is definitely defamation. I have been and always will be very careful to not accuse anyone of anything that I am not fully aware of and I have confirmed my position. I don't want anything to come back to haunt me simply because it is not true. The Contractor that contracts the providers, such as Josh, is how I learned of Josh's non- compliance of his contractual obligations, or possibly it could be his plain ignorance of the terms and conditions of his contract. His opinion of the Contractor, I quote "is they ( the Contractor) are "crap." He has also verbalized and written other complaints about this Contractor. He definitely has issues with the Contractor. Aside from a problem that may have existed, Josh refused to service my medical issue, which is against his contractual obligation. Which he was obligated to take care per his contract. Do you want to take a chance with this provider when there are others. I'm not sure if it is acceptable with YELP but if someone needs to call me for details call me at 949-966-2027. He shows no desire to help. His "cold" persona became evident. I suffered for 2 weeks because of something that Josh should have taken care of but didn't. I had to follow up on my own and found that there were more than one part of his provider contract that he did chose to not comply with, because he did not want to comply. He did not follow the terms of an insurers contract, so I suffered. His non compliance was confirmed by the insurer. I expect that most of you will assume Im just a complainer or being vengeful. I am not. Look, do your self a favor, and regardless of the very few reviews here, there are many other acupuncturists in the OC area, choose a different provider. Josh may be skilled, but why choose an important provider for your needs that will not take care of you when you really need the care. And is above following all the terms of his contract or did not care to know the terms of his contract.

I was so excited when the stars aligned and they were available on a date where I was available. On the day of my appointment, I had a really hard time finding Our Secret Place. It was secretly tucked in a corner. If you struggle to find them. Look for Yoo's Place and they are next door to the left. There is a parking structure nearby that would be the best place to park since the parking spots closer to the spa were limited to 1 hour. When I arrived, the receptionist seemed to know who I was. I must have been their only client that evening. I was further surprised that I didn't have to sign any waivers that you normally do at spas. I was welcomed back to the treatment room and introduced to Angela, my esthetician. Her English seems limited but she was very nice and sweet from our nonverbal interactions. Angela gave me a top to change into for the facial. For those who are unfamiliar with a Bojin facial, it is a Chinese therapeutic technique that massages the face's meridian. I saw that Angela had 3 different jade-looking tools to help her get deep into the meridian points and the muscular fascia. The benefits of a Bojin facial is that it improves the lymphatic drainage, boosts circulation, releases tension, and sculps the face. If you're familiar with gua sha, it's like a gentle relaxing version of gua sha for the face. Angela started off with a cleanse with steam. Wow her massage techniques were sooooo relaxing and soothing. Her hands were so intuitive, and all of the spots she targeted felt like a big relief. It's that amazing feeling during massages where you know your masseuse knows exactly what they're doing. Angela is incredible. I was so relaxed I fell asleep, so sorry if I can't give the full accounts of the experience. When I somewhat woke up, there was still facial massaging and a face mask where she massaged my neck, shoulders, and arms while the face mask was doing its' magic. Then cleansing, moisturizing, serums, the usual. I recommend the Bojin facial for those who want a therapeutic facial massage, with the skin care being secondary. And if you decide to try it, definitely ask for Angela. She's great. I know she also does scalp massages and body massages, so I definitely want to come back to try other services here too.
