The restaurant is small but when you walk in the ambiance is really nice. The music and the decor really make it a nice little chill spot. The music was a bit loud so if you're looking for somewhere quieter this might not be it, but it was ok for me. The service was good. Waiter was polite and attentive. The food was also good. Extremely disappointed. First, the good: The atmosphere is a vibe. There was a great DJ playing hits and while the place is on the small side-as in, there isn't even a place to wait for a table inside should you have to- the decor is super cute and on trend. The food is really, REALLY good. The food that we received, that is. Here's what we ordered: Ackee & Saltfish Plaintain Cups - 8/10 The ackee & saltfish mixture was phenomenal, but it needed extra salt and I personally would've preferred it made with the sweeter plaintain variety. Curry Shrimp - 9.5/10 Soooo good. Some of the best curry sauce I've ever tasted. Even the plain white rice they served with it was good. The curry had the slightest hint of spice and was so robust in flavor. My only gripe with this dish is that it was overpriced for the portion. I ate the entire plate, because it was sized small enough for my 5 yr old stepson lol. Fried Whole Red Snapper: 10/10 My dining partner loved it! I tasted a piece of it, it was perfectly light, flavorful and flaky. Jerk Chicken Fried Rice: ..............To be continued The drinks were unimpressive. We tried the margarita, the Ya Mon and the Island Vibes. They were virtually all juice. Now, the bad: We were at this place for a total of 2 hours and 45 mins and never received all of our food. What we did get was the receiving end of poor service and logistics. We made a reservation and were seated immediately upon arrival. The waitress was attentive and took our order promptly, first drinks and appetizer, then about 15 minutes later, our entree order. However, we sat for the next 1 hour and 15 minutes with just the appetizer and first round of WEAK drinks. The drinks took at least 30 minutes to be delivered to us themselves. The waitress came over multiple times ensuring us that our food would be right out. However, after an hour it still wasn't there. It was at the moment I saw the table next to us, who I KNOW came a good 30-40 minutes after us, get their apps, drinks AND entrees, that I knew something was amiss with the placing of our order and that they must've missed our order totally. I was right! The floor manager came over and told us that the cook had missed seeing our order completely and was now going to mad dash and make it for us. After that, we still waited another 15 minutes before my curry shrimp was delivered and still 10 minutes more for my friend's Red Snapper entree. To make matters worse, they ran out of fried rice to make the jerk chicken fried rice that I had ordered to take with me to go, at the SAME time we ordered all of our other food. They forgot about it and by the time we reminded them it was missing, they had run out of it....a whole 2 and half hours AFTER we ordered. We kept our composure while there, but we were livid. I know that they are a rather new establishment, but our service was extremely poor and inefficient. Not once did our waitress apologize for our orders not arriving, as I believe she actually did not fully put the orders all taken around the same time through , as another table she was serving two seats away from us, who arrived maybe 10 mins after us, had a severely delayed arrival of food as well. While the manager was extremely apologetic, she did NOTHING to rectify the situation. This is my PRIMARY issue with our experience here. If you mess up, FIX it...especially in a space where people are spending their hard earned money to have a nice dining out experience and patronize your business. It is absolutely unacceptable to have patrons sitting there for almost 3 hours without receiving everything they ordered and to not offer them anything to maybe help them "forget" that they're being inconvenienced. When she initially realized our entree order had never been fully pushed through, a complimentary round of drinks should've been sent or a significant discount on the bill should've been given. There was nothing given but lackluster apologies. When the manager came for the second time to tell us that they had run out of the fried rice, I wasn't even offered an alternate option! I'm a former hospitality & travel consultant and my friend runs operations for TWO restaurant lounges , so we KNOW the restaurant/bar space, and this was not okay. While the food was delicious (albeit with small portions, especially for a Caribbean restaurant), the drinks were not worth it and the food alone was not good enough to ever return in person. The restaurant is small but has a nice vibe. There was a DJ playing old school reggae which I loved. I ordered the Drips Rum Punch and my husband ordered the Montego Bay. I actually preferred the Montego Bay drink. I wish both drinks had more alcohol but they were decent. For food, I had the Rasta Pasta with Jerk Chicken. We ordered Rasta pasta with oxtail, chicken tacos, jerk chicken and rice and a sorrel drink. Our friends for bottomless mammossas Rasta pasta chicken tacos and chicken wings. Pro: the food was good, DJ was nice, ambiance was good Cons: (1) one hour time limit for bottomless mamossas, our reservation was at 2.30 and at 3:15 our waitress claimed the hour was up. We had to prove our timer had minutes left before she brought more mammossas. (2) Rasta pasta with oxtail was the price of the pasta with additional $17 for 4 pieces of tiny oxtail. (3) The portion of jerk chicken and rice was extremely tiny, like for a small boy. One small bowl of rice and one tiny piece of chicken breast. This place is a GEM!! We went on a Friday night and had an amazing experience. Kennisha serviced us the entire night, she was very friendly, attentive and informative. The drinks came out quickly and were very good. We started with the island vibes and Montego bay then ended the night with two drips Margarita . The jerk wings were well prepared and very tasty. For the entire we got the jerk fried rice with shrimp and the rasta pasta with salmon. Both meals were great. Everything came out in a timely fashion, the entire staff was very friendly and polite. The restaurant was very clean, great decor, and the gold utensils are a memorable touch that we've never seen at the many places we've dined over the years. I went here with my sisters for brunch and was highly disappointed. First,why is there a reservation for a very small establishment. It should be first come, first served. Second, for the price of the brunch the food should equal in value. What I had order was not nearly close to what I received. I went to Drips on a Friday evening for dinner. The only drawbacks of the restaurant were its small, lounge-like atmosphere and the loud music that made it difficult to hear the server or my companion. Aside from that, the decor is lovely, the meal was excellent, and the servers were all pleasant. My suggestions are the calamari, fruit punch and rasta pasta (pictured). This place is a VIBE! Perfect atmosphere for fun pics and videos. EXCELLENT customer service and everything that we tried was AMAZING. The chicken tacos come with a delectable sauce topping. The sauce for the jerk chicken wings is the perfect pallet friendly blend. The drinks were GOODT!!! (Please note the the "T" at the end was earned and deserved) It is a smaller spot so it may be a good idea to make a reservation if you are coming on a weekend. Came to the Bronx from Poughkeepsie ,ny to celebrate a birthday. We had a party of 18 with a pre-fixed meal unfortunately we did not have to experience we thought we paid for. First the person who took our reservation no longer works there and gave us a reservation of 3pm however we were not allowed to enter until 3:30 because we called the restaurant opens at 4pm. The Waitress we had kanesha was not welcoming or friendly. We had some dietary restrictions that she was unwilling to substitute or help recommend alternatives. I am from The Bronx and looked forward to coming home and supporting a local restaurant with friends. Unfortunately the service was not good and I am disheartened at the experience. Additionally, the workers appeared to be overwhelmed, resulting in slow service and longer wait times. It was quite frustrating to have our orders take longer than expected and to witness other diners growing impatient. Another downside of this new restaurant was the pricing. While the quality of the food and drinks was undeniable, the prices were disproportionately high. It is important to note that the cost of the dining experience should reflect not only the quality of the cuisine but also the overall value. Regrettably, the high prices did not align with the service and efficiency issues encountered during my visit, which made it difficult to justify the expense. In conclusion, the new restaurant delivered a memorable dining experience in terms of food and drinks with an exemplary array of flavors. However, issues with customer service, slow workers, and high pricing diminished the overall enjoyment. I went to this restaurant yesterday for Mother's Day. I made reservations for Mother's Day 2 weeks in advance for 4 pm. The place was packed when I arrived, and they told me I had to wait at the bar to be seated. We were a party of 6, so some were sitting at the bar, and some were standing just waiting for our table to be ready. Our table was ready at 6 o'clock! Two-hour wait. They then gave us a Mother's Day prefix menu that offered champagne and a rose as complimentary for all mothers. There were four choices of appetizers and five choices for the entree and dessert. This prefix was $80 plus 18% gratuity per person. The only option was that prefix menu (they were low on food, so not all appetizers were even available), and we couldn't select anything from their regular menu. All 6 of us ordered the lamb chops as an entree, and they gave everyone just 2 TINY pieces of lamb chops. So, $80 per person for a prefix that didn't have all appetizers available and just two lousy pieces of lamb lollipops per person was insane !!! The food was very flavorful; however, the portion size was ridiculous. They didn't have any more roses available, which was fine. However, we noticed they had incorrectly calculated the gratuity when the bill came. The gratuity should have been $60.72, but they charged us $108. When we asked the waitress about the gratuity and showed her what it was supposed to be, she had absolutely nothing to say. I would only recommend this place if you go after work to have some drinks and vibe with the DJ. But other than that... don't go! read more

Very cozy and warm atmosphere and the drinks are good. However, the service and the food were extremely disappointing. We waited over 30 mins for someone to acknowledge us at the bar and another 30mins to actually get our order. We then waited for another hour just for appetizers. The food was very disappointing and when we asked to have our order changed the owner and staff were very dismissive. We ultimately decided not to have entrees and left. For a new restaurant even if the food is subpar if the customer service is good it can be forgiven. But both were bad. read more
