This Bourbon Bar was such a great find. Because it is off season a lot of the spots were closed during the day but not this one. Service was incredible and the food was amazing. We went their twice! My brother is a bourbon drinker and was impressed by our servers knowledge. He had a bourbon flight which was cute and they give you a water dropper which is a perfect touch. I ordered their shrimp and grits which was good. Very different then all the other I've had which i liked. I get shrimp and grits everywhere I go if it's on the menu. My brother got their pomegranate wings and truffle fries. They were so tasty. The special ketchup for the fries was a nice touch. Decor was amazing. All instagram worthy for sure. We had come here the other day for a whisky flight which was amazing. Tonight we came by to just grab a night cap and some dessert. We had checked online and they only have two options. Seasonal pie and an ice cream sandwich. I love pie so that sounded fine. When we got there we found out the seasonal pie was peanut butter pie. That's not a pie, in my opinion. We got the chocolate chip cookie sandwich and it was really good. I really enjoyed the flavor of the ice cream and the attention to detail. I got the lavender fields bourbon drink and it was way too sweet for my liking. The drink was really well made and I wanted to try it since it was a lavender and vanilla bean infused simple syrup, it just was sweeter than I tend to enjoy. If I can give this place a zero man I would love to. Where do I start the fact that when we CALLED AHEAD OF TIME for our big party they didn't prepare and we waited over an hour for our food and drinks. The worst part was the fact that some of the people overheard the server Emily P smack talking us to a male waiter and saying we were rude. The food was not good I got Mac and cheese and chips. All in all I think that they need to keep an eye in this server discipline her because this is unacceptable for a server to do this. read more

Quinoa burger was so bland with no flavor, the fries had a flour coating with also a terrible flavor.

We like trying new OC MD restaurants every year so we gave this place a try. Their bar is like a speakeasy with high quality ingredients and a huge cocktail list. My husband ordered a peanut butter bourbon drink and it was delicious. I ordered a tropical like drink called the kanola which was refreshing. They lit it on fire which was really cool. I ordered the blueberry ribs and I got scalloped potatoes as my side. The ribs were pretty good. They were falling off the bone tender and the blueberry sauce was very sweet. If you only like traditional bbq ribs then I wouldn't order these. The blueberry sauce tasted like the sauce you might get on pancakes at ihop. I like sweet foods so I did like it, but I wouldn't order it all the time. It was good as a one time meal. My husband ordered the chicken and waffles, it was ok. The chicken was a little dry and the waffles a little plain. But the coffee syrup they gave you with it was very good and made it taste better. Overall it was a good meal and we would at least like to come back for more drinks sometime. read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would. This was the worst dining experience I have ever had. We visited on the last day of a bachelorette party for dinner on 5/22/21. We arrived at 7:05pm, were told by the hostess that it would be a 45-minute wait, and were not seated until 8:45pm. BUT that's not even the worst part. After 10 minutes, a waitress came to our table and asked if we were being helped. Once we replied that we had not been, she then scoffed "I thought I had my last table for the night, but I'll be back".... 10 more minutes go by and another waitress comes over and asked if we were helped, in which we replied no, and that someone had come over but never returned. ANOTHER 10 minutes go by when we see another table seated and served water... we had not even been served water yet. We had to go up to the bartender after 35 minutes of waiting to ask to be waited on. If it wasn't already 9:20pm we would have walked out. We were seated at the same time as another group, and they had received their appetizers AND entrees before we even got water... and there were only 4 of us. The waitress we ended up getting was absolutely clueless and got our orders wrong, not to mention the food was awful. We asked for a manager, and she sent over the bartender (because there clearly was not a manager working at the time), who offered to comp ONE ROUND of drinks. We were absolutely disgusted. All four of us waitressed, and could not believe how we were treated. I would NEVER recommend this establishment to anyone. What an awful way to end a bachelorette weekend. read more

This is a pretty good spot to stop at if you're in Ocean City. It's a bar slash restaurant that has pretty good food. Our server was so friendly, and so were the other ones for that matter. Probably the friendliest server we had during our trip in Ocean City. My boyfriend and I both ordered a BLT, because it was during breakfast/brunch time. It came on thick Texas toast, with the works and chipotle mayo on it, which was different but really good. It also came with either fresh fruit or potato hash, and we both got the potato hash. My only complaint about my meal was that the hash was pretty salty to my liking. Also the bread that our sandwich came on was very hard to bite into. It kind of hurt the top of your mouth biting into it with the bread being over-toasted. We actually came here to score up some fried green tomatoes since they're so hard to find at a restaurant these days. Unfortunately, they only serve their brunch menu before 1pm, which was very disappointing in my eyes. I guess what I didn't understand is why they served alcohol all day but only brunch and breakfast before a certain time. Something else that was very off-setting to me was that they didn't accept ID's that were vertical. I understand the reasoning behind it, but don't get why a perfectly valid ID won't be accepted if it was vertical. They also had a sign in the window about their public restrooms being for customers only, yet no public restroom was to be found. I really wanted to give this place 5 stars but with the menu situation and the ID acceptance, it gave me a good reason not to. The food was a little pricey than what I wanted it to be. A BLT was 12$ I believe. Other menu options were pricey as well, depending on what you ordered. Two stars because the food that wasn't cold was really good. Whoever is managing this place needs replaced. Once we finally got seated (1.5 hr wait) our waitress dropped off waters and disappeared for 15 minutes. Once she finally got back and begged to order she disappeared again and finally got us some real drinks. We don't see her again until the food comes. Two of the dishes are brought out cold, no salt and pepper or condiments around. 20 minutes go by, we eat the cold food. We actually had to ask the bartenders for ketchup and new drinks. She finally comes by and says well I have another table with 16 people. First off you shouldn't be serving 16 people together in Covid and why is this waitress addressing a party yet ignoring a small table, the manager should never assign someone to a party and small tables. Once she comes we talked about the cold food and she says she will take it off the menu. She comes back a minute later and pretty much tells us her manager thought the plate was warm so there was no way it could've been cold. Also said they don't use heat lamps so it couldn't have been the heat lamps. Where I am from you are legally required to have heat lamps in a restaurant. After trying to push dessert four times(like I wanted to wait another 2 hrs for dessert) she finally brings the check. The cold food still on there. I thought the food was excellent but the service ruins this place. Hope the owners get their act together as this place has potential. read more

If I could give six stars I would. This was our favorite location during our first stay in Ocean City. We were greeted by our friendly server Leann right away for our drink order. She tended to the table quickly and frequently. We started with the Seafood Mac n cheese and Buffalo wings. The seafood Mac n cheese was done right, not to rich and a nice amount of crab and shrimp. The Buffalo wings had a nice kick to them. Two of us had the bacon wrapped scallops, delicious in a maple sauce. Two of us had the filet mignon cooked perfectly and very tender cuts of steak. Lastly was the Pork Ossobuco and it was delicious. Great quality food, nice environment and friendly service. Can't ask for anything more. This is a must go to in the area. read more

If I could give this place 20 stars I would. We stumbled upon this joint after having a drink at seacrets and were intrigued by the building itself, almost resembling a firehouse. We were greeted warmly by Joe, the bartender, and Jordan the manager of the back house. Later in the night we talked to "edge" who is a great bartender. They told us about their origin, the cool light fixtures, doors, and lights from a submarine and the painting in the back. Feeling very at home we ordered two specialty cocktails: lavender fields of Kentucky and high tea rum runner. Both incredible. This was only a one drink stop but the employees were so friendly they convinced us to come back later in the night. It has a family feel. Later that night we ordered the game of gnomes, smoked lemonade, an old fashioned and my favorite, from the vine. We split the dry 85 burger w/ fries. Top two burgers we've had complete with pulled pork, bacon, Cole slaw and BBQ sauce. The menu selections are amazing and can not wait to try more options. They take great pride in their appearance, drinks, atmosphere and from scratch kitchen. I don't know how I can go anywhere else for a meal. read more

To end our last minute vacation in OC, we stumbled upon this restaurant which was such a treat. The drinks and food were phenomenal. The super friendly staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. I would like to give a specific shout out to our waitress, TAYLOR! She was social, engaging, and helpful. The bartender (didn't get her name) was very informative about the different types of whiskey we could drink and what pairs best with the meals we were eating. With that said, the bourbon wings, Brussel sprouts, seasoned fries and seafood Mac and cheese were delightful. My vegetarian husband had the quinoa black bean burger which took him to another place. The guacamole, salsa and fried cheese added to the flavor, so if you're on a vegetarian kick, order this meal. Decided to come here on a Friday evening for dinner and we had an amazing experience! They didn't take reservations but we were able to get a table outside. Our server Holly was very attentive and helpful. We ordered wings and fried pickles for starters and they were good but I wish the pickles came with more than 8 pieces. All of the entrees came out great, we got the bacon wrapped scallops, steak, ribs, and breakfast burger. Their drinks were also amazing, and I recommend getting a flight of whiskey. There food is of superb quality and their signature seafood mac and cheese is indescribably delectable! We have been passing this place by because we did not realize that the entrees are available at lunch. And since we usually go out early, we considered the menu too limited. Once we found out that we were wrong, we decided to give it a go and boy, are we glad we did. This is now one of our favorite spots in OC. The wings were perfectly cooked-a true "gold standard" The outside was beautifully crisp-not a flabby bite-and the interior juicy, tender and flavorful. The Korean sauce was delicious (side note: I am a sauce fanatic and normally I ask for extra sauce. This time I forgot and was delighted when I saw that there was not only a lot in the bowl, but they also included a side of it as well!) Next time I will try the Bourbon BBQ flavor. Hubby ordered the Osso Bucco. First, it was eye-poppingly enormous! Secondly, it is the same dish he had ordered recently at another place-very upscale (i.e. expensive and snooty)-which was dry, tough, and pretty much inedible. This one was spectacular! It comes with an apple flavored sauce so if that is not your thing, just ask for it on the side. I got the ribs. Normally I am not a Baby Back fan-way too fatty (I prefer the St Louis cut) But these were delicious with a very unusual (blueberry) sauce. It was a risky choice but I'm glad I took the leap... Fries are also quite different-not the normal crispy kind, but very potato-ey with a parmesan coating-quite good. Service (by the delightful, helpful and knowledgeable Kelly) was exceptional. Great Whiskey Bar in Ocean City. This place is on the opposite side of the highway from Seacrets... and the clientele generally reflects that difference! Dry 85 has an extensive whiskey collection, solid whiskey cocktails and flights. The food is generally good... which is important when sampling multiple whiskeys! The atmosphere is casual and fun. Hubby and I stumbled across this from convention center. Discovered it was their opening night. We got Fried green tomatoes. Not bad, but not enough balsamic glaze and white sauce. There was no salt on them. Hubby got their Oyster sliders and enjoyed them. I got the Flank Steak & Quinoa salad but substituted bleu cheese crumbles for goat cheese because I loathe goat cheese. Literally the fried pickles were about 4 small pickle chips. The wings were soggy, no sauce and no crisp, tasted like they were boiled... I should have sent them back. Dinner- burgers tasted like overcooked meatloaf. Fried chicken sandwich- extremely underwhelming. No seasoning at all and oily. Fried chick and waffles- literally no seasoning & the waffles were so undercooked and the chicken was again oily. They give chips with the sandwiches, which were boring and under seasoned. If you want fries you have to pay minimum $3 extra, which is crazy and ridiculous. Shouldn't have to pay extra for extremely soggy/oily fries. I get it that's an easy way to make money, but come on.... They charge for every little thing, including sauce so be prepared. read more

We were able to take a surprise family trip to OC thanks to my son's high school wrestling team. My husband and I got a chance for a very rare date night. We had been to Red, Red Wine, the "sister" restaurant, but I had been dying to try Dry 85, so.... We arrive, it's pretty quiet (expected in Ocean City mid/late January). The host was pleasant and seated us, our server, Shane was phenomenal. He knew a lot about bourbons as well as the menu, and Ocean City in general - a definite bonus! We got salmon crostini and potato chips as well as the Brussels sprouts as starters. They were all delicious! They were also offering a vegetable curry soup that I decided to try (was not one of Shane's recommendations) because I love curry. Unfortunately, that was the one disappointment. The curry part would have been delicious had it not been for what tasted like a tons of sugar added. Not that I don't love sweet, just not in certain foods - curry soup being one of them. Normally, I might remove a star for that but Shane handled it so wonderfully and took it away the minute I mentioned I wasn't a fan and aside from my uncouth attempt at suggesting that it would be far better without the added sugar (my Minnesota "say what you mean, mean what you say" upbringing - uff da), it was not brought up again. Instead, we got into discussing a far more appealing topic: Bourbon. After listening about my failed attempts at getting a bottle of the prized Pappy Van Winkle, he suggested a wonderful and very limited bourbon at the bargain rate of $50.00 a glass. While, we normally do not indulge like that, it was after all a REAL date night. May seem trite to some of you, but when you have been married for several years with growing children and activities up the wazoo, believe me, they're rare! Needless to say, we thoroughly enjoyed our uber rare, expensive for us glass of bourbon! We also did a far less expensive "Flight" of their custom made for them bourbons for $12.00 as well as a glass of the Bookers 30th Anniversary bourbon for the bargain rate of $30.00 in honor of my husband's late father (long story that I won't bore you with). While some of these prices may fall in the upper echelon of cost, if you make relationship comparisons to what we would have paid for the same thing here (MoCo, MD) in the same caliber of establishment, it would have probably been doubled... Dinner, was delicious and prices were reasonable (granted, I'm comparing them to what we would pay here for the same thing). Sam got bacon wrapped scallops and I got the insanely large (1/2 lb) burger with blue cheese, caramelized onions, and fig jam. My only semi criticism is that the burger was huge. I was craving something like that and I love blue cheese, caramelized onions, etc. Personally, I would have preferred more of the toppings and less of the burger, but that's just me. My husband and son think that's insane. I strongly suspect any real burger loving person would not have the same issues in wanting less burger - like I said "that's just me." The truffle French fries with salt, pepper, and rosemary were to die for! I'm not even a French fry person (another thing my husband, son, and daughter think are insane), but these are the exception! Actually, I think it was Lil Wayne who on Celebrity Apprentice years back in a cooking/restaurant contest made the comment "truffle oil makes everything taste great." I think he's right, I've never met anything with truffle oil that I haven't loved! Apparently, some chefs know this little secret - his team won that competition by the way... The dessert sounded delicious, but we were feeling pretty far and happy, it was getting late and we needed to get back to our hotel to check on the kids, plus I hate being the person who hangs out in a restaurant after everyone else has left! Dry 85 is new in town and has a great gastro pub vibe. They have a very extensive whiskey inventory and the menu is creative and simple. I ordered the seafood mac as an appetizer, it was very rich. It was delicious but we had to take more than half of it home because it was so heavy and rich. I also ordered the fried oyster sliders. Good portion size and the sauce was amazing. My boyfriend ordered the chicken and waffles. The portion was a little on the smaller side and the chicken was a little dry. Also, we typically do gravy with chicken and waffles and they do syrup here. None of it was a deal breaker though- they were still delicious. We will be back to try more! read more

Came with two girlfriends, and really enjoyed our night! Wanted to give another shoutout for AWESOME server Megan who not only was kind, funny and "on top" of her very busy section, but was so thoughtful about things we wanted or needed, great at recommendations and asked if we wanted to split the check at the end. Vibe is laid back, but the place is nice. Not the super casual (dumpy/divey) that you sometimes get at the beach. Food was excellent - both the decadent (chicken sammie and fried pickles) and healthy (garden salad, side salad and veggie of the day.) Also LOVE that they had a Brussels sprouts of the day! (Ours were pomegranate goat cheese - YUM.) My dinner companions loved their bourbon cocktails - both the fancy (Islands in the Stream) and classic (Old Fashioned). They REALLY know their bourbon - and honor the craft cocktail AND the connoisseur who prefers to take it neat. The piece de resistance was the cookie ice cream sandwich. After struggling to find somewhere that has something other than seafood we stumbled on Dry 85.. Let me tell you it was worth it!!! I know we are on an island and don't eat seafood.. Hard to find a nice place to get a steak but this is the spot if you aren't looking for seafood. Not overly expensive either. We got 2 filets and each an adult beverage and walked out at just over $100 INCLUDING the tip! The steaks where cooked perfectly and if came with 2 sides.
