    Manhattan for a pre-snack!

Easy to see that I'm a repeat customer at DCG, especially while on my former turf in the South Bay. I enjoy the scene, as DCG has a more romantic loungey vibe in the bar area (dim lightning and the lower "twirly chairs"). The first visit of the week, I had a prep of the Deviled Eggs, followed by the bountiful meatloaf, chased with a Pinot Noir. I fulfilled my comfort food fix for the quarter. Delicious. The second visit a couple eves later, me and a colleague opted for burgers and the brussels sprout app. Nice size burgers, and the sprouts hit the spot. Personal and professional service from the bar team of Jacob and Alexandra! Speaking from experience, DCG was once my date-nite go to, and now a place to escape the corporate group gathering at a chain.

This spot reminded me of a more expensive standalone version of Lazy Dog or BJ's with more upscale cocktails, kind of like the vibe of overpriced restaurant-bar blends in the airport terminal before your flight. Flavors didn't hit it for me, food tasted quite bland. Cocktails were decent, thankfully, but pretty standard; nothing really stood out. Bartenders were polite, but you could tell they were worn out and tired from the busy night, not much energy. Fine if you want to just hang out at the bar and be left alone. It's okay if you're on a business trip and need to grab a bite, unwind a bit, and expense your meal -- but I didn't feel like the food was worth the price point otherwise, as I think it tries to be fancier than it actually is; but I appreciate that it's a small business in an area where living costs continue to rise rapidly. Note the restaurant charges a 2.6% fee if you use a credit card. (Yes it's listed on their website and signage, but it's not a common practice in the South Bay so that's a bummer.)

We had a lovely early dinner here. They are located in a strip mall on Hamilton Avenue at Meridian Avenue. We went on a Saturday, and there was plenty of spaces in the parking lot. The complimentary bread was good; they provided a sour dough and a darker bread with butter. My husband and I shared the beet salad, which was delicious and included goat cheese and roasted hazelnuts. The salad cost $16, but when they split it for us, we each had a good portion. We got a side of asparagus with a parmesan topping, and it was very good. I ordered the butternut squash risotto, and really enjoyed it; it came with a handful of small tomatoes. My husband had the meatloaf and loved it; it came with roasted carrots and excellent mashed potatoes. The service was very good. We didn't have room for dessert on this occasion, but no doubt we will return.

We have been coming here for years! And I realized that on our last visit when making a reservation that I'd never sung their praises! Selfishly, we've kept this place to ourselves because it's been our little refuge on busy nights when all we want is a great steak & a full satisfying meal! From apps, to sides, to entree to desserts! The restaurant is welcoming and unassuming and it's why we love it! It's our little local steakhouse with great cocktails and a great wine selection! You can never go wrong with their ribeye! And a nice glass of red! The service from hosts to bartender to our waiter are always so welcoming and accommodating. And I am writing this because on our last visit our waiter went above and beyond on what was a rough night (won't bore y'all with my sappy times) He was attentive and thoughtful and I regret not catching his name (I am sure we will on our next visit) as we'll make it a point to request his tables! Sometimes all you want is a great meal with out all huss and fuss AND THIS PLACE delivers every time!

Brussel sprouts - unique and delicious!

We came to Grill again this time to celebrate several once in a lifetime events. Love the inside layout where you can sit at the centralized bar or a booth or a combo bench seat/chair setup. The lights are dim for atmosphere and is very inviting. Outside parking to plentiful too. Our server was spot on. The food breakdown: Brussel sprouts - these were plentiful and is a delicious recipe. French onion soup - a disappointment, tasted like bullion, very little onion and was very salty. Lamb chops - cooked perfectly, large portion and went well with the polenta. Filet mignon tips with beef stroganoff- good with a healthy dose of sour cream, which was considered too much. St Louis ribs - Excellent beans and cornbread, the ribs had a mild smoke flavor and were finished on a flame grill making the outside tuff. Good flavor though. Crème brûlée - beautifully presented and tasted perfect. Chocolate chip cookie with salted Carmel à la mode - warm just cooked cookie and ice cream - a perfect finish. Overall, we enjoyed our evening and will keep it on our dinner rotation list.

Went for Valentine's Day and was glad we did Amazing atmosphere the lighting was soft but each table and a light to be able to read menu Music was soft and pleasing service was top notch from the moment we sat down we were checked on multiple times which was nice the food was delicious Order the deviled eggs with caviar delicious Ordered the calamari was really good and the corn bread was tasty Wife ordered the pan seared chicken breast while I ordered the filet mignon cooked just right Ended dinner with sorbet trio and crème brûlée perfect way to end a fantastic meal Will be back for sure

We celebrated my Tita's birthday at Dry Creek Steakhouse, and overall it was a nice experience. The service was okay--staff were polite and attentive enough, nothing over the top but no major issues either. The atmosphere felt appropriate for a special occasion, which made it a good spot for a birthday dinner. I ordered the ribeye steak, and it was cooked well with good flavor and tenderness. Definitely satisfying and one of the highlights of the meal. Overall, a solid choice for celebrations or steak nights. Would come back again, especially for special occasions.

We go here a few times a year, and our recent visit was really good. Service - We made reservations via OpenTable for a Saturday night and were seated right away in a booth. The waiter came by with water very quickly and also asked if we wanted to do our drink orders then. Service continued to be very good, food came quickly once we ordered. Drinks - I had the "Deconstructed Mai Tai" with my appetizers. It was very tasty but didn't seem too similar to a regular Mai Tai, other than being pineapple rum-based. I would recommend it. My son had the "Cali Squeeze" blood orange beer on draft which I tasted and liked a lot. They have a large beer menu in addition to the extensive cocktail menu. I had a glass of "Opolo" Zinfandel with my steak salad which was a very good red. Appetizers - We shared a Lobster Bisque and plate of short rib empanadas. Very delicious -- the bisque had bits of lobster and really good seasoning. The short rib empanadas came with a chimichurri sauce. I tried bites both with and without the sauce, both were good but maybe I slightly preferred without the sauce. Really good crust on the empanadas, highly recommend. Main Courses - I had the Asian Skirt Steak Salad which had the right amount of steak and a tasty vinaigrette on top of kale salad. It was a good choice but I wonder if I would like it better on top of romaine or other lettuce. My husband had the Trout special which had a really good butter sauce and veggies. My son had the Rib Eye Steak, a pretty large steak serving and delicious mashed potatoes and veggies. Dessert - We split the dessert special, Bananas Foster Bread Pudding which was great -- lots of the delicious brown sugar butter sauce with banana liquer. Would get it again. Ambiance - booths are quieter than the open dining room. Overall a great experience, I sometimes get the barbecue meats which are also very good.

Loved it! I really enjoyed the food and drinks. The place is very comfortable--a great spot to relax. The customer service is excellent, and I will definitely come back.

A favorite of my folks, celebrating 2 family birthdays with several of us from out of state. There were 11 and 4 generations. Our waitstaff, Christian, was attentive, friendly, and professional. The service was excellent. My food was perfect. I was torn between several offerings, but ordered the market salad, and 2 sides- the polenta and mushrooms and ate them together. It was a fantastic meal! We were a big party, and where we sat felt like a fine dining experience but with a fair amount of background sound just from everyone in the area talking. Another area of the restaurant has a bar, bar seating with TV screens with sports. So fairly versatile, accommodating to families. Everyone enjoyed their food. The birthday folks got a song and dessert- thank you for doing that. A good time was had by all.

I just discovered DCG and omgeee so happy I did. I appreciate that I was greeted by the host when I walked in nobody was on their cell phone which is huge to me being In the industry . The ambience is absolutely stunning and aesthetically appealing. I loved that the lights are dimmed down making the restaurant seem warm and cozy . I sat at the bar top and was welcomed by Jacob the second time was with Justin . They were very personable and created me a drink based off what I typically like . I tried the ahi wontons With some added avocado super delicious. I asked the food runner for some wasabi and soy sauce to put on top of my food he grabbed it right away , whereas at some restaurants you ask for something and they either take forever or forget . All around I had a 10/10 experience and happy I finally have tried it .

Just never got around to working a review before. Went early on a Saturday evening recently and was surprised to not have to wait. We split a Bibb lettuce salad that was simple, refreshing and perfect. A tiny pea fritter was the very definition of a small bite, and while it wasn't what I expected, it was crisp and tender. Grilled artichoke was one of the best I have ever had. (Just wish they had been explicit on the menu that it was a half a grilled artichoke). Cocktails were up to their usual high standard -- rye Manhattan for the BF and clarified milk punch for me. I don't get out much these days and I rarely drink alcohol, but is $20 a lot for a cocktail? Or is that normal now? They were great though. BF got the ribeye with morels, which was perfectly cooked and unbelievably tender. I had the burger, which was more exciting than it sounds, dressed with a wild combo of veggies, cheese and bacon while still managing to be harmonious and fresh tasting. Side of fries were crisp and tasty, though not as perfectly hot as I would ideally wish. Because the burger was late coming out, or server (Bernardo I think?) comped us an amazing little dish of vanilla soft serve ice cream with olive oil and sea salt, along with the butterscotch pudding that we ordered. The pudding didn't have the strong butterscotch flavor that I hoped for, but the vanilla ice cream stole the dessert show. OCK isn't a place I can afford often, but I still really like it. I appreciate the creativity of the dishes, the quality ingredients, and the bar. And the old-school shopping center vibe of the Pruneyard is low key festive and garden-like. The interior of the restaurant is kind of standard-industrial modern, but nicely so. Oh, and their glassware is super nice.

She was attentive but not overbearing and gave great recommendations. Even if the food was not good, we would still come back because she made it such a pleasant experience. Thankfully the food is also amazing. I have always been addicted to the triple B and the KFC so I was nervous when I tried the new versions recently. I enjoyed them both more than I had previously. The triple B was smaller but the biscuit had much more flavor, depth and was more pillowy. The KFC had always been my favorite and the new version did not change that at all. The chicken was much juicier, and it had a lot more substance. The chicken pieces were thicker and the sauce was delicious. It's reminiscent of a chicken and waffle dish because I believe the sauce has some sort of maple syrup. The dishes have changed but I'm a huge fan of the change. I will continue to come here and I am glad to see that this place doesn't seem to want to stop getting better.

Despite the pace, the staff remained friendly, attentive, and professional throughout our visit. The restaurant was clean, welcoming, and had plenty of free parking, which made the experience convenient for our group of two grandmothers, two moms, and two toddlers. We ordered a variety of breakfast items, including eggs benedict, omelets, chocolate pancakes, scrambled eggs, and several sides. Portions were generous, prices felt fair, and the food was solid for a neighborhood breakfast spot. While the ingredients didn't have the fresh farm-to-table quality that some breakfast cafés emphasize, everything was prepared well and satisfying. Service was slower than usual, with one member of our party receiving her meal noticeably later than the rest of us. However, given the unusually busy morning and the staff's efforts to keep up, it felt more like a staffing challenge than a service issue. We ended up sharing food while waiting, and the team checked on us regularly. Overall, Garden's Gate Café is a clean, friendly local breakfast spot with generous portions, reasonable prices, and kind customer service. While the wait was longer than expected on this particular visit, the staff worked hard and maintained a positive attitude throughout.

We got the broccolini and it was a bit tender. If you have elderly folks at the table or folks with a bit more sensitive teeth, this may not be the right item on the menu. The pizza was pretty good but the bottom was a a bit charred. Overall, the atmosphere was more on the dark, moody, romantic vibes. We were told they'd bring them "later." Ignored for 35+ Minutes: We sat with nothing but water for over half an hour. To make matters worse, a table of six was seated after us and received their full entrees while we were completely ignored. The Drink Mess: After 40 minutes, the server told me they were out of ingredients for my drink. When I picked a second option, she tried to insist I wanted a drink with celery (my most despised vegetable). We thankfully stopped her before it was made, but the incompetence was staggering. The Food Fiasco: An hour into our reservation, someone dropped off a scallop dish. A while later, a server asked if I'd "received the scallops yet," and I realized the plate I was eating wasn't even intended for our table. We were so starving that my husband and I just shared them. Once we finished, the server finally asked my husband if he "still wanted his meal or if he wanted to cancel it." I finally lost my cool - of course he still wanted his dinner! The Aftermath: My husband didn't realize that my friends had actually made a separate reservation to take me back to this same spot the following night for a second birthday celebration. After this performance, there was no way I was going to step foot in this building again or give them another cent of our money. I texted my friends from the table to cancel those reservations and book elsewhere. With service this disorganized and insulting, this restaurant won't be in business long. Super disappointing. Don't waste your special occasions here. *Edit - it looks like Lira has closed. With the service we experienced, I am not surprised in the slightest. I am hopeful that whichever future business occupies this space is more successful.

I had high hopes for this upscale Mediterranean spot in downtown Campbell. Lots of hype, but the…read morefood was average and service was all over the place. I thought some dishes were great; the wagyu burger was decadent. Other dishes were not that special. The scallops didn't taste too fresh (likely frozen) and combining them with hummus didn't quite work. The side of bread was practically insulting. $5 for stale table bread was a surprise. Dishes arrived very late; we were nearly forgotten when we tried to order, and then after ordering, we waited 40 minutes between appetizers and the main course. Not because they were cooking it; they just forgot we were there and when they brought out the dishes, the scallops were no longer just-cooked, and the burger had been sitting for a bit. No apology, just an acknowledgment it was late, and no discount (not even on the stale bread). They offered us wine, we said we didn't drink, and they just moved on. I debated a lot about how to review this. It's my personal experience that was disappointing, and I'm glad some reviews are very upbeat. But there's a handful of reviews noting frustrating delays... and that needs to be worked on.

It will be busy you will have to wait, but let me tell you the turnover of the tables by the staff is its own ballet. And once you are shown to your table the wait will be worth it. Point number two order potatoes that are fried in duck fat and sprinkled with garlic and parsley. *if all. I did was return in the future for those potatoes and nothing more the trip is worth it. Now the place is loud and busy and you would not want it any other way the energy is contagious the "Ambiance" is simple you are glad to be there and the employees are glad you are there too.

Didn't need a reservation to sit, but I assume it's much more crowded on the weekends. Parking was fine. Ordered French toast, avocado toast with poached egg, carnitas Benedict, and Churro waffles. Honestly, everything was a bit average and lacking flavor. The churro waffles were by far the favorite and the best deal, price to taste-wise. Definitely get it if you're gonna try anything here. Otherwise, Bloom was slightly lackluster for me. Nothing terrible, but I prefer Sweet Maple as a brunch spot.

Hey there party People…read more Decided to venture into Willow Glen today on the hunt for something new to try. Boy howdy did we hit the Mother Load with "The Table". We hit the Brunch hour and the place was rocking. We were able to sit right down amazingly. There is a fabulous patio to people watch and enjoy the California weather. Our server Charles was really great. He walked us through the menu giving us the 911 on watch to order. Most of the plates were perfect shareable bites. Making it easy to try multiple plates and really get your inner Foodie on. We started with the Seasonal Banana Pancakes with crushed walnuts and cinnamon maple syrup. Inside the pancakes were fresh bananas and the walnuts were crushed very small but added a great texture. Moving on to the Chicago Steak sandwich don't get confused but in Chicago they refer to Roast Beef as steak. The Au Jus dip was very flavorful without being a salt bomb. Loved the potato roll they used all round a killer sandwich. Going a little outside the box we tried the Jerk Chicken Sandwich. The pineapple slaw with this amazing peppery chutney type sauce played so well with the acid of the pineapple. Another must have sandwich. I ask you how can you go to a new restaurant and not have some dessert. With everything else being so good our expectations were pretty high and we were not disappointed. The Giant Profiterole is exactly that GIANT and stuffed with White Chocolate Gelato and Hot Chocolate Sauce that you can drizzle over the top. To fricken die for good. If you are in Willow Glen and you don't stop here you are missing out on something wonderful. Be kind to one another

When we were seated, we were given a list of items that were not available. I originally wanted to try the pancakes but ended up ordering the chicken sandwich instead. This was genuinely one of the worst chicken sandwiches I have ever had. It was extremely gristly, fatty, and made with dark meat, which felt like an odd choice for a chicken sandwich. I'm not sure why this cut of chicken was used. The fries were alright, but they did not come with the sandwich and cost an additional $5. Our total came to almost $90 for three entrees with no beverages. I was especially frustrated because my sandwich was inedible. For the price and quality, I will not be returning and would not recommend this place.

The staff made my dad's 80th birthday perfect…read more I organized a casual drop-in gathering for my dad's 80th -- no private event, no deposit, just a large group coming and going over four hours. Toni worked with me over the phone to make it happen, and when there was a small miscommunication about the vibe I was going for, she course-corrected instantly -- not just in communication but in the actual setup. That kind of pivot is rare. The outside area was ideal for our group of roughly 60 throughout the day -- a mix of high tops, low tops, and couches that gave everyone somewhere to land. Heat lamps on when we needed them, off when we asked. Ellie and Shailyn were exceptional the entire time. I had to leave before I could personally thank the staff, which I regretted -- so I'm saying it here. This was exactly what I hoped it would be for my dad. Thank you, Toni, Ellie, and Shailyn. -- Anton

Date of Visit: 6/13/2026…read more We visited the Eos & Nyx located in downtown San Jose on a Saturday early afternoon for brunch. Eos & Nyx is a vibrant dining destination with outdoor patio and loft style indoor dining room and open bar and kitchen. The menu includes locally sourced produce and seafood, mixed with Mediterranean cooking techniques. Eos & Nyx has also a fascinating cocktail menu, with brunch focused cocktails. Trix Aren't For Kids $18 Two husbands ordered the brunch cocktail, made with gin, trix, rice milk, ginger, passionfruit, cream, lemon, and egg white. A bit too sweet. Strawberry Spumoni $17 I got the strawberry brunch cocktail with bitter aperitivo, strawberry, fluffy grapefruit, and tonic. Cute but not memorable. Filipino Grand Slam $24 We ordered the amazing grand slam with Filipino longanisa, on the side there was garlic rice, fried eggs, and decorated with spiced vinegar. Pipikaula Ribs $32 The other main course we got the smoked pipikaula ribs, with kimchi fried rice, sunny eggs, and sprinkled scallion on the top. Chilaquiles $29 Another main course we had was the confit duck leg, mole rojo on the side. And on top there were feta and cilantro sauce dressing and a sunny side up egg on top. Caesar with trout $26 We also got a Caesar salad made with bibb & gem, Parmigiano Reggiano, herbed crouton, and boquerones. There was an option to include chicken or trout as the protein. We chose the trout and it was great with crispy skin and tender meat.
