Service was exceptional! Jay was amazing and attentive. He had jokes and made us feel comfortable. He was very knowledgeable on the menu and answered all of our questions. View was amazing as well but next time, we will go after sunset because the sun was HARSH and beating on our faces (our fault for going at 5:30). Food was great! Nothing to critique there. Decent portions and cooked very well.

Savion (sorry if I didn't spell it correctly) best server! Professional, knew his menu, very knowledgeable! Honestly he made the place, then went downstairs meet Johnathan and he put the cherry on top!!

The Grandview is one of my favorite restaurants to go for a great view & dining experience. I have gone a handful of times with family and my partner, and we have all had fond memories and experiences here. Definitely make a reservation as they can get pretty booked on certain nights - you wouldn't want to make the drive up and have to wait for a table. You have the option to sit indoors or outdoors- trust me, you'll want to sit outdoors and truly enjoy the view. If you are visiting a little later in the evening, don't worry as they have heaters by nearly every table. The staff here are very kind and incredibly attentive. They are very knowledgeable and truly make the experience all the better. OKAY THE FOOD: * Pricing is on the higher side, however the dishes here are delicious and made from their farm across the street. This is definitely a more upscale restaurant. * Cesar Salad: I'm not one to rave about a salad, but my GOODNESS do I LOVE their Cesar Salad. My partner and I have got this dish every time we visit, and will be continuing that tradition. * Prime Rib: This is my go to entree and I love to pair it with their crispy Brussel sprouts. * Calamari: The calamari here is different, they also fry lemon slices! This is one of our favorite appetizers to share with the table and it's always a hit. * Lobster Carbonara: this is an off the menu dish, but it's a family favorite.

We went here for our anniversary. I made a reservation about 2 weeks in advanced. We were initially seated outside but the sun was beaming down and it was super hot and uncomfortable. I requested to change seats - either inside or outside. The hostess gave me a very hard time about this, when there were still open tables. I was ignored a couple times until our waiter saved the day and swiftly moved us. For a restaurant that wants to be high end, I would also expect high end service. The attitude I got from the hostess was very off putting, while our waiter was excellent. There should be more consistency with all the staff. The food itself was better than I expected. We ordered the prime rib, ravioli, Caesar salad, and arancini. The prime rib was cooked perfectly and the ravioli portion was very generous. The view during sunset is beautiful and the main reason for coming here. The inside of the restaurant kind of has an old school classic vibe. The parking lot is fairly small and the drive up is definitely very winding. Overall, it was an okay experience.

Wow! We had a fantastic anniversary dinner here! We were a little disappointed that we couldn't get a reservation, but the bar area is first come first served and it is lovely. There is a beautiful fountain, couches, fire pit and absolutely spectacular view! The food was incredible too! Our waiter was also the bar tender and he was great! So friendly and helpful. You don't get quite the same experience as if you were a diner in the reserved section - another waiter told us he was too busy to take a quick pic for us, and no fancy plate for your anniversary, but it's so nice that they have this option.

We went to The Grandview to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. The staffs were friendly and welcoming upon arrival. We were seated at a table that was in the middle of the outdoor area but still were able to see the view (wish we we could sit on the outermost seats!). We came at sunset time and the view was absolutely stunning! Food wise, we got prime rib ravioli and fillet mignon. The ravioli was filled with generous portions of prime rib and short ribs. The fillings were super tender and creamy. The fillet mignon was slightly crispy on the outside yet super tender on the inside (we asked for rare). The portion was pretty big too. They also had a long list of wine and cocktail/mocktail selections. We ordered the special dessert of the day (creme brûlée). Initially they wrote "happy birthday" on the plate, but the waiter soon noticed it and quickly replaced it with "happy anniversary" for us (thank you!). Overall it was a great experience at The Grandview. Highly recommend it for celebrating special occasions.

Beautifully hidden restaurant right on the top of San Jose that provides a beautiful view of the city - even more so at night! It's definitely a place to go out for a lovely date night or even business-casual early dinner - we saw both but conformed to the former. We had expected service to be a bit more intimate, but after taking our orders, our service was touch and go after that... and we waited a while to be re-checked in and to order dessert after finishing our meal. So that was the only downer I had. Now, onto the food: The Guava Sour was amaaaaazing - I had it just a little bit spicy and it was perfection as my starter :) Everything on the menu sounded so good, and we had a wonderful time enjoying conversation, city lights, and hearing the live pianist. We ordered the deviled eggs, and poke mini tacos to start. While everything else sounded great, our server made the deviled eggs the star appetizer to try and I'm glad we did. It had such wonderful flavors that even my husband who normally doesn't like deviled eggs, enjoyed them! The bone-in ribeye was juicy, and the cielo mare y terra was also hearty. Got to have the best of both carbs and protein, am I right? Oh, and the smashed yukon potatoes were SO crispy. I loved it!

We came here for our Anniversary and had a great experience! Wonderful staff that accommodated our last minute request to sit outside bc it was a beautiful night. Delicious food and and we paired with a well priced yummy Prosecco. Would definitely recommend and want to come back so bad!

The view was really beautiful. The food was mediocre and over priced. Definitely not worth the price. The seafood was over cooked, my clams and mussels were burnt there was barely anything to eat off of it. Food took long to arrive. The dessert took over 30 minutes to arrive, I think our waiter forgot to put in the order. Over all it was an okay experience. I would rate the food 3/5 but the view is 5/5. You pay for the view , not so much the food , I guess.

Overpriced, tiny portions, and mediocre food. Service was non-existent and had to flag staff down. The best part was the view...

Overall rating: 3.5* I'll start with what I like: both the salad and prime rib is excellent. I would highly recommend the 22 oz prime rib for sharing. It's tender and portion size is great. Seating is also great if you visit on a nice weather and sit outside for the city lights view. But, I was a bit disappointed by the chicken dish(pollo piccata). Chicken was dry and the crème brûlée was okay too. The top sugar caramelized layer is super thin and not as crispy as other places, felt like it's a weird ratio of just custard. Lastly, the parking situation is not ideal. Parking lot is small/full and even the street parking was packed by the time we came. We had to squish into parking next to the branches of bushes and half way onto the curb/gravels.

Went to The Grandview for their Valentine's Day 4 course menu and overall had a really nice experience. For the first course, my fiancée and I split the lobster bisque and the scallop arancini. Both were solid. The bisque was rich and flavorful, and the arancini was phenomenal nice crisp on the outside with good flavor inside the scallop was perfect. Second course, we tried both raviolis, the braised short rib and the lobster. The short rib was definitely our favorite. Super flavorful and just felt more balanced overall. The lobster ravioli was good, but the short rib one is the one I'd go back for. For the main, we both ordered the prime rib. It was decent, not bad at all, but it's not House of Prime Rib level. It wasn't the most tender cut we've ever had, but still enjoyable. Dessert wise, we tried both options, the lava cake and the key lime cheesecake. Both were good, but we both preferred the cheesecake. It had that perfect sweet and tart balance and didn't feel too heavy. Overall we enjoyed our meal at The Grandview. The ambiance is top notch and definitely gives you that special occasion vibe. The staff was on point all night. Solid Valentine's dinner.

    Is there a corkage fee?

    Yes, it's $50.

Do they only accept card or do they accept cash as well?

    Both

Currently offering any grass-fed/grass finished meat options?

Can you bring small children for dinner (toddlers)?

You could, yes. I would consider the area itself. It's fine dining and not many places for them to walk around or play. I have seen kids here but they've been older about 10+ and the younger ones were attending a wedding and had their own room.

Is this place open for weekend brunch?

We are not at the GrandView, but our sister restaurant, La Forêt, is open for Sunday Brunch 10:30-1:30.

Do you accept gift cards from La Foret?

We do not accept La Foret gift cards at The Grand View.

Can I go by myself and just sit at the bar?

Yes you can but if your drinking consider a designated driver or Uber/lift

Are dogs allowed in the patio?

    yes they are!

Do they have menu for kids, she's 7?

No not really! You end up paying $50+ for your 7 year old

Do they sell regular spaghetti or Alfredo plates?

I don't know the answer to your question but I know that the prices are ridiculously high. And the quality of food doesn't match the price.

Are they open for Christmas lunch??? I have party of 12. Anytime from 12-3pm is best.

Yes but you have to call them. They don't take reservations on Yelp

Hi, I made a dinner reservation for 8:30pm, which is a little later than I wanted but I really want to eat there. Am I allowed to order appetizers/drinks at the bar while we wait for our table?

    Yes

    Are they open?

Yes the Grand View is open for dinner and closed on Mondays

    Is this place dog friendly?

    No I don't think 🤔 so.

Do you have a corkage fee if we bring our own wine?

Hello Katrina, Yes we charge a 35.00 corkage fee for wine. Thank you

Can I have a birthday cake delivered to your restaurant?

Save your money go somewhere else.

I have a reservation for Saturday . Can we get a table outside to see the view?

yes, just contact the restaurant tons of outdoor seating!

Are they open? Been trying to make a reservation, but phone line just keeps ringing.

Yes we are open! Tuesday-Sunday for dinner. You can book on Open Table or Yelp too!

Are pets (toy breed dogs) welcome?

Yes Jasmin we can allow your dog to join us outdoors. The Grand View

The shop isn't very big but feels super clean inside and it doesn't have a meat smell. The staff here are really nice and helpful too. They even give you complimentary containers of their salt rub. My partner and I specifically come here specifically for their Picanha steaks which are extremely high quality and affordable. They're great to cook using the reverse sear method or grill like they do at Brazilian steak houses. They taste fantastic with chimichurri or even just with flaky salt because of how buttery the steaks are on their own. The last time we were here, we got 10 steaks for around $150 and we seriously thought we'd be spending way more. Of course the cost will depend on what you, like the prime rib here is very expensive, but weigh out your options! I do think everything else here seems to be a great price for the quality compared to mass grocers. I'd highly recommend anyone to check out this shop!

He was incredibly knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely excited to help us experience the best of the menu. When we asked Luke for his recommendations, he absolutely delivered. We ordered the pork fried rice, and wow... 10/10! It was packed with flavor and is something I still think about. For our main course, Luke recommended the chef's choice preparation of the Chateaubriand, and it was phenomenal. Perfectly cooked, beautifully presented, and one of the best steaks we've ever had. For appetizers, we ordered multiple rounds of the chilled oysters, a non-negotiable whenever my husband and I dine somewhere that serves fresh oysters. They were incredibly fresh and delicious. Hats off to the bartender. For the food, we headed straight to the hot food in the kitchen area where it was well presented and displayed. We had terrific Crispy Ribs, Salmon, Prime Rib, Beef Wellington, and Clam Chowder. There are many other choices and selections of foods which is all based on your personal preference. You definitely won't be disappointed. The Prime Rib and Clam Chowder were top notch and exquisite. We also tried their seafood station which included oysters, shrimp, fish, and crab. Those were good. The caviar station was nicely displayed with the different types of caviar. The caviar, with our understanding and perception, was a disappointment. It lacked true flavor, character, and ambience. But the dessert station was brilliant, impressive, and awe-inspiring. We tried a variety of cakes, the creme brulee, boba, mille-feuille, chocolate mousse, and they were terrific. Carlton brought out my daughter's birthday presentation and it is definitely something to enjoy. We thoroughly enjoyed the brunch and expert service from Carlton. Overall, an excellent experience with terrific food and and excellent service! Buongiorno!

I took my parents to Fleming's for lunch on Memorial Day, May 25, 2026. My server's name is Haro. Haro is an awesome server: provided recommendations, attentive to details, verified and communicated back to the customers to ensure service is at top speed and quality. Examples: * My dad was going to order the Prime Spinalis Ribeye Cap; however, the restaurant was out of the ribeye cut and hence, Haro recommended the Wagyu Surf & Turf dish, which completely "wow" my dad. * My mom wants to order the Barbeque Salmon Fillet, but she was concerned there may be diary as she is allergic to dairy products. Haro informed the chef of the concern and confirmed back with us that the barbeque glaze does contain diary. But fear not, as this rockstar chef created an impromptu dish with salmon that made my mom happy and satisfying. Another shout-out to Haro's superb service is during dessert time. We were so full that I didn't plan on ordering dessert, but my love for Fleming's Chocolate Lava Cake made me order anyway. With sweets, I had to order black coffee. Dad decided to get coffee too after hearing how Fleming's freshly coffee is good. When mom saw the coffee, she wanted to try it as well. We asked Haro for another cup, but instead of just a cup, Haro came out with another freshly brewed coffee and stated it is for my mom and on the house. These little things will let you see what makes a good server versus an outstanding server. Furthermore, Haro also asked if we drink. Dad can, but neither me nor my mom drink. With this knowledge, Haro came out with another surprise: 1 champagne with alcohol for dad and 2 virgin champagnes for mom and me. The champagne completely took my breath away as it was that good! My parents were in awe as well! Splendid service!! Dishes ordered: * Appetizers: Crab Cakes, Sweet Chili Calamari, Thai Green Beans, Sauteed Mushrooms * Main Course: * Steamed Ginger Seabass ginger-soy sesame broth, carrot-leek-scallion sauté, fresno chili, cilantro 360 cal | 57 * Barbeque Salmon Fillet mushrooms, barbecue glaze * Wagyu Surf & Turf 7oz Australian Carrera Wagyu Strip topped with black garlic sauce, crab fried rice, crispy tempura shrimp, gochugaru flakes * Desserts & Drinks: * Chocolate Lava Cake (rich chocolate cake with a molten center of callebaut belgian chocolate, served with premium vanilla ice cream & house-made tuile) * Freshly Brewed Coffee * Champagne (on the house) * Iced Tea * Strawberry Lemonade

We sat at the bar, where Nate (the bar manager), Skyler, and Juanita absolutely crushed it. They were attentive, personable, hilarious, and somehow managed to all be ridiculously good-looking. Coincidence? I think not. When we realized we wanted to catch the last game of the NBA Finals outside, Juan, the evening manager, was more than happy to move us to the patio. That kind of flexibility and hospitality goes a long way. Great drinks, great vibes, and an even better team. They made us feel like regulars, even though it was my dad's first visit (my second visit). We'll definitely be back!

The diavola pasta had a great texture and a flavorful sauce, although it felt a little simple since there weren't many other ingredients mixed in. The crispy brussels sprouts weren't for me, not very crispy and a bit hard. The gelato was much better than I expected and ended up being a nice way to end the meal. The service was great though and the lighting inside nice! Overall, the meal was a bit hit-or-miss, but I'd come back to try more of the pizzas since those were definitely the highlight
