So ya know that feeling when you have a special event that you are going to in a city you don't know? Well we had a 5:15 appt. Got in the Uber and realized we were further than we thought. We called Drybar immediately and they told us "don't worry" you have a 15 minute grace period. Ok phew. We run like lunatics with our oily hair from the pool and walk in at 5:31. Girl says oh sorry, we can't take you. What? They offer a dry style....our hair is dirty from the pool. We beg, we plead, and offered to wash our own hair. Sorry they say. I would have completely understood had they told us they couldn't take us late. We would of found another salon closer to us. The manager (I assume it was her as she came out of the back) told us yea they are short staffed and she would talk to the person who told us it was fine to be late. That doesn't help us now. My daughter is in tears....I'm pissed...and by the way, I rarely write negative reviews.... Like never...but had to in this case. We asked about a place close and they didn't offer us any suggestions... Fortunately my daughter found us a place close by that was great...(plan to leave them a GREAT review) Again, I have no issues with not being able to take us but we spent $30 on an Uber AFTER we called and were told it was fine. Tell us you are understaffed and can't take us late...would understand. Save yourself the stress and go to anywhere else! read more

Because you were flexible with my change of times at last minute, took me promptly even a few minutes early, it wasn't freezing like most of your locations. i give this place a big fat ZERO! The worst service I've ever received in my life. My first time and definitely my last. My appointment was at 10AM. The stylist never showed up! They put me with someone else 45 minutes later who did not look at all interesting in doing my hair. 45 minutes later and did not want to wash my hair. She gave me a brush to untangle my own hair!!! WHAT??? Really who does that? Why would I go to a salon if I was going to wash, brush and untangle my own hair??? I went to a place just down the street TRINI in Brickell, who took me right away with a smile, wonderful service, washed, untangled, and styled my hair in less than one hour!! Alex is amazing!! I only give good reviews but this one was soo horrible I had to let people know. I spoke to three different people and not one apologized instead made me feel like my hair was not good enough for them to work on! HORRIBLE!!! Pros- Simple, clean, nice looking salon. Same price for hair blow dry if your hair is 1 inch or 100 inches long. Cons- Same price for blow drying vey short hair (try your neighborhood salon, they will do great for half the price) Even using their website you are not guaranteed an appointment specially if you are making multiple appointments at once. Not all stylists are equally good. Cookie cutter styling. Customer service is practically non-existent. You need to leave your credit card number to make an appointment. Bottomline- The ideal client knows how to use the internet and book appointments, does not need customer service rep to talk to, has very long hair (to take advantages on pricing), and never misses an appointment. I usually go to dry bar in NY either Long Island or NYC and always have had a good experience. However, that was not the case down in Miami this weekend. I went with 3 friends to get blowouts before a wedding we had on Saturday. They were running quite behind and then the entire experience felt rushed. We weren't offered coffee or water or anything to drink. Two of my friends ended up with hairstyles that were completely different than what they asked for. But even worse - all four of our hair styles fell out (we all had curls) within an hour of leaving the salon, leaving us all having to rush to redo our own hair prior to the wedding. I curl my own hair all the time, and have had it curled at many Dry Bars and other salons, and it always holds. They didn't even put any hairspray in. They definitely don't know what they are doing here - waste of $53. Also side note - they don't have a cash box so you have to pay on a card and bring small bills for tip. read more

I have been to several drybars across Los Angeles and always had positive experiences. After the nightmare at Drybar South Beach, I decided to try the drybar in Brickell City Center. They could not find my appointment and it turns out that my appointment was booked incorrectly for Friday, in which I will not even be in this city. Nonetheless, there's so much I can say about being there for only a few minutes. This location is extremely crowded. It is small and there was too many people there with relation to the size of the location. As I was leaving the bathroom, two employees were laughing and dancing around the exit, bumping into anyone who was leaving the bathroom. Then, they started giggling and laughing at me because of them almost bumping into me. I don't blame them for being in the holiday mode. It was just really awkward. The woman at the front desk was very helpful. She also helped me cancel the appointment that was booked for an incorrect date. I will certainly not be returning to this location though. Much too congested and overall just an unprofessional demeanor. There's way too much chaos. read more

I visited Drybar in BCC for a dry styling this morning and had a pleasant experience. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by one of the stylists and was seen 5 mins later. I asked for a Cosmo Tai so my curls could last through the weekend and it turned out just fine. The only thing I would note for anyone who frequents DryBar is that this location charges an automatic gratuity charge. I tipped her cash before checking out, so she got double tipped but not a huge ordeal. She did a great job and was deserving. I was out in less than 20 mins. Not sure what may have caused everyone's dissatisfied experience but to me they appeared to make the conscientious effort to make every customer happy. This location is closest to where I live so I plan to come back again soon. read more

Best blow dry I've gotten in the brickell area tried a few brickell salons but super convenient I wish I remembered the girl that blo dried my hair I asked for beach waves and she delivered with lasting effects!! Now that is a plus for me !! The place is very chic and they offered tea with sugar options (even honey for you tea) plus they play movies while your hair is styled. Overall I will be coming back they notified me that they offer conditioning treatments as well also you can purchase your own hair tools at the place as well read more

the WORST blowout ive ever gotten. My 5 year cousin could have done a better job. My hair dresser left my hair a mess. Half wet, frizzy, and so tangled. I had to complain and luckily the manager stepped in and fixed my embarassing blowout. Will absolutely never come back. I visited the dry bar for the first time in Brickell and I was so impressed when I walked in. Right away they offer you coffee or champagne and everything looks beautiful inside. My experience was not so great. When I was getting my hair washed she was so rough with everything from washing it to brushing it. I also got wet more than I normally do when I get my hair washed. It was not an enjoyable or relaxing wash. When I was getting my hair blow out I couldn't wait for it to be over. She was tanning my hair the entire time. When I asked if she could dry my extensions well she told me she knows how to do her job. I didn't have a good experience at all. I get blow outs once or twice a week and this was the first time I couldn't wait for it to be over. There was no reason for her to be so rough or rude. read more

Cute place, good concept. The lady in the front was very nice and welcoming. However, the hairdresser was apparently having a bad day. She was very moody, not welcoming at all. She didn't wash my hair well didn't scrub at all, only shampooed once and left shampoo residue. I asked her to give me a second shampoo but she said it was extra. Since she was already conditioning I left it like that. When Im walking out the washer I ask another one of the hairdressers how many shampoos are included and he confirms two are included and the third would be extra. So I ask her again why she only did one if two are included and she now lied that she had shampooed twice. Obviously, since it was my hair I knew for a fact she hadn't, but I didn't want to cause a scene. She dried my hair well, however near the scalp I have the curler marks, since of course hair is slightly oily after the "wash" (I do not have oily hair) Again, I keep shut just wishing to leave and washing my hair at home. To make it worst, they charge me and include an 18% tip automatically! I told the cashier it had been the a really bad service and gave her feedback, she apologized but could not do anything about the fee. Wanted to like it since its right across my house, but unfortunately they lost a customer and would definitely not recommend to anybody. read more

Came for vacation and made an appointment the same day. I have ALOT of hair and it is very thick and very hard to do. I was greeted by Cherrell and offered a drink of my choice. She was very attentive to what I wanted and assured me I would get exactly what I showed her. The wash was great and relaxing and they offered a free hydrating treatment. She did an amazing job on my hair and was super nice. I usually go to Drybars in DC and NYC and I always love women who can work with ethnic hair because that usually means they can manage my lion hair. The place is beautiful as are most Drybars BUT Brickell city center is nothing to miss. You feel like a princess the moment you walk in until the moment you walk out. Check them out! read more

This place is so hit or miss. The first two times I asked for straight sleek hair and it came out perfect. I even got a membership because I was so content. Now I'm leaving the place upset. I felt like because it was 8pm on a Friday night, my stylist was rushing to finish because I was her last client. I had extensions put in and felt like that and my hair was pulled out (ouch. again, rushing). I also have to put the blame on the Miami humidity, my hair easily poofed up. Which is why when I booked the appointment I checked off for the anti frizz spray, but my stylist missed it and never put it on my hair. It's too late now as it needs to be applied when hair is wet. What's the point of putting the add ons online when it will be missed. Hopefully next time will be better, and I will be sure to remind every stylist to add the spray before drying. I booked an appointment here the night before a busy Saturday and I did not expect to be so impressed especially away from my regular hair stylist. As a biracial woman I expect war and terror when it comes to my hair. I arrived, they dug right in fearless! They moisturized detangled and blow dried out every curl in record time. the woman was comfortable and made me feel so cute. I feel cute as fuck. it was booked all the way up and I could tell people waiting were frustrated, but that's just how it goes. I usually go to the dry bar in Scottsdale, AZ and always have an amazing experience there. This time at the Brickell center one I left very unhappy. I was not even greeted when I walked in or asked if I wanted something to drink like dry bar usually does. I wish it would of went well because I love my dry bar in AZ but this one was not good at all. My hair feels so dry and brittle unfortunately. I also was told at the front desk that my card was already charged with tip included when I've always been able to customize my own tip each time I go. Apparently they have a 15 minute grace period & I was late by 2 minutes on top of the 15 & because of that they weren't able to do anything for me. Understanding that being late shouldn't be an exception but when u already have a grace period & willing to overlook that, what's another 2 minutes of your time. The manager was rude and kept saying how we can debate on this all day. Literally a couple of hours later when it was time to get ready for my special dinner I had to re do my entire hair. It was a curly wavy frizzy mess. I was so sad and disappointed, especially because I read somewhere on their site that you don't have to do your hair for 3-7 days after your appointment. I came to a "Blowdry & Booze Event" in August and the stylists were very nice and helpful in helping me make a selection. Whether you have straight or curly hair, they appropriately work with your hair texture to give you a desired look. If I have a major event i.e. wedding or event I will definitely look to come here as they are simply the best. read more

Don't waste your time or money. The front desk girls are the meanest and rudest individuals you'll ever encounter. They pick and choose who to be polite to, they make comments and make fun of shoppers as they're walking by their store front. I arrived 35mins for my appointment and was told to sit and wait... however, there were available stylists who were just wandering around. Finally at my appointment time my stylist Marcos is ready. I showed him 5 pictures all different angles on the style I wanted... magically in 10mins he was done... when I looked in the mirror it looked like a 5yr old did it, I asked him to pls understand what I'm looking for and showed him the pics again, I apologized and said I didn't like what he did and if he could pls try again, he proceeds to roll his eyes and say yeaaa sure but I did what you wanted. So I verbally explain what I want (what he saw in the pics) he said yea yea got it...5 mins later he's done yet again.... at this point I was so uncomfortable and just done with the whole experience, I said sure it works, paid over $80 for a half up do, and went home to wash my hair and redo it myself. I didn't receive a wash with my do.... I saw everyone else did. They also include 18% tip, which is completely insane since the service is so poor. I will never in my life go or recommend this location to anyone. To Marcos, I wish he would've admitted he wasn't capable of a simple half up do, you wasted my time and $. read more

The absolute worst blow dry I've ever gotten literally in my entire life. From the moment I sat down the gentleman blow drying me was talking to the front desk assistant about who closed the store, the weeks schedule, the weather, etc while sporadically focusing on my hair. After he was "done" i looked ridiculous and obviously I was very unhappy with the way it looked so I asked the gentleman if I can borrow the blow dryer to fix it and he said no. I left with the worst hair ever, no opportunity to fix it, and paid full price. I consider coiffure to be an art form and I just wonder how that gentleman was able to turn the chair around to reveal such a reductive attempt to a hair "style". The customer service was non existent, you would think they would try and adjust the price considering my experience, or at least offer some sort of candor. NO. I stopped by yesterday after work for a wash and blow dry before the weekend festivities. I decided to go Hollywood glamour for fun. My expectations were not very high based on previous reviews. Let me tell you, I was pleasantly surprised. I WAS greeted with a smile when I walked in. It wasn't too busy and I was taken exactly on time. I was serviced by Olivia. She is professional and her work is on point. She gives a great wash. She asked me if I wanted to use the purple shampoo for my blonde hair. That exceeded my expectations for a quick service salon. Olivia styled my hair exactly as the picture. She also made sure that I knew that the style doesn't have longevity. I didn't care as I was just happy to look so good even for one night. The curls are out and today my hair is perfectly straight. It's like I got two styles for the price of one! I have never been so happy! I will be a regular with Olivia.
