My overall experience was not pleasant. The hair studio with 15 plus chairs only had one customer but I still had to wait to be seated. This studio has very unusual setting with no mirrors in front of the customer . In order to see my hair I had to turn ( mirror is behind the chair). The stylist was inexperienced . I did not like the way she was blow drying my hair . instead Of being relaxed with my hair appointment I was stressed. Overall result was 5 ( on scale of 10)and the price was $64 for blow dry. I would not recommend or use this hair studio again read more

I've always had prompt service start times and have worked with 4 or 5 different stylists who did a great job. I have naturally curly hair, so I was apprehensive at first but I have had great results. If you also have curly hair, leave a note when booking your appointment. Updating my review just received a call from Natalie the director saying I am banned from all Dry Bars in OC due to me leaving this bad review and she asked me if I think she can control her staff if they call out and she said I threatened to leave a bad review I said no I did not threaten I notified them of why I was leaving a bad review she just justified me leaving this review even more... Now Danielle stepped in with a response to my review saying I was verbally aggressive towards her front desk employee when she originally apologized for the whole thing that's why in the review I even put Danielle was sweet when she asked me what she could do for me not to leave a bad review .. lol that's fine Danielle I understand you have to write something to make the company look half decent. Also they said they tried to accommodate me by offering the 1pm 2pm when I had at 8am appointment that's not accomodating when I have an important gathering at 10am that's why my appointment was made for 8:15 ...AGAIN DO NOT waste your time here.... I'm a member with Drybar, customer service is always mediocre but I just use the time to rest my eyes for the 20-25 minutes it takes to complete my hair. Today I had an appointment at 8:15 which has been scheduled since Thursday and I receive a call from Josselyn at 7:28 saying the girl that was going to do my hair just called out and they would reschedule me for 1 or 2pm. I was mind blown that people call out 30 minutes before they are supposed to be in and that this company wouldn't have some one else to come and cover. Just a waste of my time now I'm left seeing who else does blow outs on Yelp near me which surprisingly is a lot so I would recommend not booking here because even if you have something important to show up to they can cancel 30 minutes before your appointment. I've let so many issues go here like when I paid extra for a 10 minute scalp massage and it was literally 2 minutes but I'm not looking for issues since I go all the time so I just took the disrespect and now I've had it up to here so I'm done with this place. Spoke with Danielle who works with the owner and she is sweet but again the damage has been done with how I've been treated continuously here. I asked Josselyn who I was scheduled for since I always just take first available and she said "I'm not going to tell you I don't want you to slander her" I said okay well then I will just put your name Josselyn. Canceled my membership today and I promise you there are many other companies near that do blow outs go somewhere that respects your time and YOU! Nothing I dislike more than some place that wastes my time. If this doesn't show you decent employees are hard to come by I don't know what does. I understand stuff happens but have a better way of communicating that to the client and have some sympathy and just have simple Customer Service etiquette. By the way I was nice and did not talk down or use profanity in any of the calls so just know I'm always nice even when I get calls that are dry and thoughtless. Lastly Josselyn offered to change my appointment from 8:15am to 1 or 2pm but didn't mention they had a 9:45 and 10:00am and many other times so why she told me 1 or 2 when they had others closer to my original appointment she canceled rudely and abruptly. I can keep going on just don't come here. Love the way they use the word threatening I've been called allot of names in my life but not threatening... very childish response from this company but it lives up to what I've been dealing with. Hi Danielle S, While I appreciate your response no complimentary service was ever offered to me. You were not even there and I have never spoken with you. So that is not accurate. At the very minimum you or your manager should have reached out to rectify the situation rather than having the girl at the front desk do it. Your front desk staff needs to work on customer service. The number you provided for me to contact you at is the salon. Have you ever tried calling the salon? Getting someone to answer let alone to request to speak to someone directly is not the best way to connect. As a franchise owner, I would imagine you have a marketing budget from corporate that you pay into so for things to not accurately reflect pricing is quite interesting and concerning. I rarely write reviews, but my experience at Drybar in Irvine Spectrum Center today was so disappointing that I felt compelled to share. I brought my mom and wife here before a wedding, excited for a nice pampering session. I called two days prior to book our appointment for 1:15 PM, and although we arrived only 7 minutes late, and my wife called ahead at 1:00 PM to inform them we were on our way. Because traffic it was crazy!! Upon arriving, they held my mom and wife for an additional 10-15 minutes, only to then tell them they were late by 15 minutes--completely inaccurate! To add insult to injury, they insisted on a $25 late fee and pushed our appointment to 2:45 PM. As an Air Force member, I travel frequently and have used Drybar services many times before without issues. My family has always enjoyed their experiences--until today. The staff at this location seemed indifferent to customer service, and it felt like they didn't care about accommodating us. Ultimately, I had to take my mom and wife elsewhere, which was incredibly frustrating and disheartening. I expected better from Drybar, and it's sad to see such a lack of professionalism and customer care at this location. I won't be returning, and I encourage others to think twice before making an appointment here. read more

This was my first time at drybar and I didn't have a very pleasant experience. I wanted to get my hair done for some professional headshots, which I was really excited for. My stylist wasn't super friendly, which is whatever, however, she was pulling my hair super hard when doing the blowout. It sort of felt like I was a mannequin and she was practicing on me, and didn't realize how hard she was pulling. The blowout itself was okay, but there was SO much breakage, like so many noticeable flyaways at the top of my head. It's been a few days since the blowout, and I've noticed a lot of breakage with my face framing pieces, like a literal chunk of hair with a fried end, which is upsetting since I've been trying to grow out my hair. I've had blowouts before where it was handled with much more care and didn't hurt like this one did. Maybe there are other stylists at this drybar who are more experienced, but either way, it's a gamble and so I probably won't be coming back. I hope that going forward, there is better training so that the blowouts don't feel so aggressive and damaging to the hair. read more
