I arrived 8 minutes late but then the stylist was still working with the previous client for another 5 minutes. The receptionists need to at least smile in the face of clients. I am not dealing with robots. That is not even my issue. I specifically asked for a stylist who knows how to blow dry curly hair. I told her that my hair will get poofy if she just blow dry without brush. I know my hair. She still insisted on continuing to just doing it. Then she used teh brush to continue blue and she did not use the hot tool on almost half of the hair strand. If your review allowed it, I would've attached a picture of my hair just few hours ago. All hair is curly. Only the parts where she used the hot tool were good. Had she used it on all my hair, it would have been good. Although my little sister did not have an appointment, they were able to squeeze her in and we got our hair done at the same time stylist were so friendly and knowledgeable. I scheduled an appointment in the afternoon for a dry styling with the intention of getting my hair curled for an event in the evening. I let my stylist know that I was hoping to get tight curls so that they would last for and throughout the event. The picture attached shows my hair as soon as my appointment was finished. While I think this finished product is absolutely beautiful, these waves fell out of my hair very quickly and by the time I got to my event, they were barely visible in my hair which is unfortunately not what I asked for. I would recommend this service only if you need it for an obligation very shortly after. read more

I recently visited the Drybar blowout salon at the Spectrum and had an absolutely dreadful experience. From the moment I walked in, things started going downhill. The girls at the front desk were extremely unprofessional and dishonest. The day before my appointment, I called and asked to schedule a dry style. The girl who took my call made my appointment and told me to come with clean hair, and that was it. The next day, I arrived for my appointment, sat in the chair, and asked for just a beach wave style. The hairstylist said she needed to do a blowout because my hair was a little bit wet, and now it would cost me twice as much. I tried to explain that the girl who made my appointment told me to come with clean hair and didn't mention anything about needing it to be very dry. The stylist went to the front desk to consult on the matter. When she came back, she asked to see the number I called to schedule the appointment. I showed her the number, and she said it wasn't the number for Drybar, claiming their number starts with 714. I called the number from the previous day, and guess whose phone rang? The front desk. At this point, I asked to speak with the manager. When he arrived, he insisted the hairstyle would now be double the price, despite my washing my hair at home and receiving such miserable treatment. I had an event in two hours, so I was willing to pay any amount just to finish with this horrible experience. And so I did. The staff here always goes above and beyond to make sure they fit in the million appts and requests they get a day. For example today I was late (per uschz) but also showed up covered in my lunch drink bc I had gotten rearended 2 lights away. I'm fine thank god and so was everyone I the accident but when the app (or lord knows probably the user - me ) malfunctioned showing i had no apppt in the box not here not anywhere I almost burst into tears. About to head to a funeral with no other hope JEAN the wonderful receptionist along with the help of the selfless stylists here worked for 30 plus min making calls and finally for me in for a full blowout. Dear Management, Please straighten out the front desk personnel and rude stylist at the Irvine Spectrum store. The Hispanic front desk girl and old brunette stylist stated "you are only booked for a dry style yet the confirmation email they sent me (below) shows dry style and braids (which is how they routinely book a wash and 2 braids)! I have been having the same wash and style done for 1.5 yrs at this location. My wash is always booked as a dry style for time purposes! Please straighten this issue out! I left the gym 15 min early to arrive there in OC rush hour traffic and they refused to wash my hair in the 30 min dry style time slot. They wtd to charge me for a blowout yet not give me a style or blowout! I understand from the front desk girl the manager quit last week! Please hire a new manager ASAP! Educate the stylist (who is short, thin, dk brown hair, old and really rude) that the time was booked for me as a dry style is to wash my hair! Pls educate her brain as I tried and she could not understand the concept AT ALL! It is the time allotted not the name of the service! Pls provide a free wash and braids for me due to this rude behavior from stylist and improper booking of the services in her computer allegedly at the front desk. As I sat down jada then stated " you said thank you before I said you're welcome just so you know". INAPPROPRIATE. Jada also hand wrote my ticket with services I wanted and left out which was 15$. I booked a reservation over a week in advance for myself and two others. We show up early to our appointment. Two of us were seen after about 20 minutes of waiting. They had no towels available. One of us got a wet towel (used by another customer I'm sure). Then for myself I received no towel at all for soaking hair. I sat there for 50 minutes before I was seen with the stylist. The receptionist provided no explanation and most of the time she refused to even answer my questions as to when I would be seen. She also took two other women with appointments after me with stylists. I almost got up and walked out. We had photos scheduled and I was on a timeline so to be 50 minutes late is truly unacceptable especially since we arrived 5 minutes before our appointment time. The stylist was nice which is why I'm giving a 2 but considering my hair wasn't towel dried and I was in a rush my hair didn't look great. One of our appointments was converted to a no wash appointment because of the no towel situation and yet we were still charged for three full blow outs. This was a truly unreal experience. It's a blowout place with no towels and a receptionist who refused to speak. We will not be going back to this location. This occurred on Sunday (11/9/25) and I never got the receptionists name but she was wearing overalls. read more

I recently visited Drybar with my sister for hair curls, and I wanted to provide some feedback. Unfortunately, the stylist did not achieve the look we requested, which was based on a picture we provided. The curls turned out dry, frizzy, and completely different from what we expected. And right when I went home the curls were gone and I had to visit Ulta to do ny hair again. Additionally, I felt that the customer service could have been better. My review will be two-fold as there are different aspects to it. The 3 different stylist we received between the 5 of us were super nice and tried their best to get our hair done. I had booked a few weeks in advance online but also called since I was unable to book all 5 at the same time. I was told they had staffing issues and only had 4 stylists atm. I said that's fine so we got appointments for 3 people at 3:45pm and two at 4:30pm. When we showed up 15 minutes early, I noticed only 3 stylists there and one had a client with extremely long hair. It was not communicated to me that they were short one person beforehand delaying all of our blowouts. I even mentioned right off the bat that we had makeup appointments right after booked already. We ended up being late to our makeup appointments and then late to my sister's wedding. My biggest gripe is when there is lack of communication. If I had known, I would have moved up appointments and gotten out in time. As mentioned before, we were extremely happy with the results of our blowouts and I emphasized that I did not want the curls to fall out by the end of the evening. All of our hair stayed. this is the WORST drybar location!!! Owner lied and said we got refund when she gave us $17 out of $105. Not a trustworthy business :( I have been a member of drybar for 2 years and have always loved my experience whether it's in SoCal or Hawaii. Went to this location and called to let them know I would be late due to a protest occurring at spectrum and every street around the mall being closed. Drybar (Irvine) promised they could still do 2 out of the 3 washes which was fine as long as birthday girl got her hair done. When we walked in at 3:19 (which they said would be cut off) they said they no longer could do any washes and only do 2 dry styles. Both dry styles looked TERRIBLE (we felt rushed the entire time) and when we told them it wasnt up to our standards they didn't even try to fix it or ask what was wrong with it. They kicked us right out and said they were fully booked (may I add the whole salon was empty... and we even walked by a few hours later and whole entire salon was empty except one person (they were open until 930PM or 10PM that night). We were charged 105 for 3 dry styles even though we only got 2 and were dissatisfied. The business owner Kelsey doesn't even care ! DONT GO TO THIS DRYBAR!!!! Response to owner: ALOHA, I'm actually the one who paid and I only got a refund for $17 out of $105. I'm not satisfied with that and you should review how you run your business. I called before making an appointment to ask if I were to get my hair done before work (8am) if it would last until 5pm that day. The woman on the phone said how some people's hair lasts over a week and if they did tight curls that it would definitely last over one day, and would be perfect for my graduation pictures today. When I went in for my appointment not only did it was 2x the amount of time it was scheduled for, but the curls all fell out within the hour. My hair is completely flat one hour later and now I have to redo it myself during work for my college graduation pics this afternoon, and when I called I was told that no refund was possible and I could only come in for a touch-up (which I don't have time for and I also could do a better job curling my own hair). I just called corporate to get a refund and I would never recommend this location. My hair was literally more curled when I entered the salon than when I left and it had been slept in AND went to a baseball game last night. I lost $60 this morning. read more
