Brief back story. I lived in my house 15 years and never had my dryer vent cleaned. Who knows if it was ever cleaned. The drying times for clothes were lengthy, to the point I was thinking my dryer wasn't working correctly. I was about to call to get my dryer fixed when I thought about my dryer vent and maybe I should try that first. I went to the website to schedule an appointment. Unfortunately, I would find out later, there have been problems with the website sending the information to the company. I decided to call to schedule an appointment. King David, the owner, scheduled my dryer vent cleaning a few days later. He was very knowledgeable and professional when he showed up. He took a before picture to let me know with what he was dealing. My dryer vent barely had an opening to vent the exhaust gasses from the dryer. He also showed me places from one vent opening to the other how the air was being impeded. He flushed all the lint from the vent line to include the dryer itself. He also recommended a new dryer vent hose that was less prone to melting/fire than what was mine. He took an "after" picture. He also ran the dryer and showed me the difference in the performance of it. The end result was amazing! From the pictures (before and after) to the functionality of the dryer itself. I was using double the energy to dry my laundry not to mention the real possibility of a fire. I would have liked to post the before and after pictures of my dryer vent but I don't know how to do the in this review. There are some similar pictures on his site. I highly recommend using this company to clean your dryer vent and encourage everyone to have their vents cleaned annually. We purchase a new dryer after we thought our old dryer had died on us... little did we know that it wasnt the dryer after all. My husband found Dryer Fires LV through Yelp and called and he came out the next day. David called and asked if he could be a bit early since he was in my area earlier than he expected and showed up and got right to work. He took the time to listen to my version of the problem and never once made me feel like I didnt know what I was talking about, he even took the time to walk me through the process and show me progress as he cleaned out the dryer duct vent. David explained that the dryer duct vent was so clogged with debris that it was almost impossible for a dyer to work and could of caused a fire had we of kept using it. So thankful that he explained things to me so that we can prevent this issue from happening again!!! During our chat I learned that he is so much more than the dryer guy! We got a new dryer after our old one gave out. This new dryer has a bad air flow indicator and we couldn't understand why the light kept coming on. We called the manufacturer since our dryer is under warranty and they sent over a repair technician. According to the tech, our dryer vents needed to be cleaned because the reading from his gadget indicated that the air flow was restricted. I then looked up the reviews on Yelp for Dryer Fires, and decided to schedule an appointment. King David was extremely pleasant over the phone and during the service call, he was extremely thorough. He also replaced our dryer vent hose because the one that that the installer used was not the recommended hose according to the manufacturer's specifications. The hose used was more combustible and easily gets crushed therefore restricting air flow. King David replaced our dryer vent hose with a Semi-rigid Dryer hose and this works so much better! He also vacuumed our vents and went up on the roof and was able to remove a large chunk of lint which was the culprit of the restricted air flow. Now, our dryer dries our clothes so much faster...about 37 minutes only which is half the amount of time it used to take saving us energy and time! The price of this service was more than reasonable and I can't thank King David and Dryer Fires enough for providing such fantastic service! I highly recommend them and will be recommending him to our friends and family as well. read more

Outstanding service! I could not have had a better experience with this company. We were in a jam as our dryer was not functioning and suspected it was lint buildup in the vent pipe. We also had a dryer repair scheduled and wanted to get the vent cleaned prior to repair. I called on Friday and spoke to David's wife who explained he was out on a call, but she handled scheduling. She offered Tuesday and I explained we had the repair scheduled for Tuesday and needed it prior. She told me she would talk to her husband and see if they could fit us in on Monday. Said she would call back later. About 20 minutes later, she called and said they could get us on the schedule and David would be at our house tomorrow - Saturday. David showed up exactly when expected (with a courtesy call prior) and was exceptional. Took pictures up the vent so I could see the nature of the clog. He took a picture afterwards and it looked as clean as a brand new vent. His personality was perfect. Explained the why/what of everything he did and did not speak to me as if I was an idiot as so many nowadays. Very thorough, cleaned everything to the point of spotless and gave me advice on maintaining everything. I recommend David and Dryer Fires LV without any hesitation. read more

I had a technician service my dryer and he alerted me that my dryer ducts were badly clogged. I had dryer fires come out and fix the problem. He did whatever it took to get my ducts clear and safe. I was having problems with my clothes dryer as it was not venting properly. My dryer was not drying the clothes and I noticed the vent flap on the outside of the house was not opening during the drying cycle. I called Dryer Fires and David fixed it! He is very efficient and cleans the vent system from the inside of the house and also from the outside of the house. I was amazed at the amount of gunky lint that came out of the clogged vent (enough to fill a grocery bag!). The price was reasonable and worth every penny. I highly recommend!! read more

After getting a new clothes dryer installed I found out that the duct work in wall was either missing or messed up. There was probably a bunch of lint in the wall! Dryer Fires (Dave) cleaned out inside the wall and installed new ductwork. He had to cut into the wall so he arranged for a drywall guy to come and patch it up. I called David on a Saturday and he was available on Monday to come and inspect/clean our dryer. He arrived promptly and worked miracles! Our "newer" LG dryer was constantly needing several cycles and despite my attempt at cleaning it.. I was not getting the job done. I, of course, was not checking the vent on the roof like David did. David was hired by our property managers to clean our vents since our dryer was not drying clothes (we had just moved into a rental home). David did a very thorough job cleaning out the dryer vent, which ascended up a wall and then had a 90-degree angle in it to run across the garage ceiling before exiting the home. David explained the entire process thoroughly as he was working, let us watch everything he did (we saw all the lint and dust blown out), and showed us how he was certain it was absolutely clean. We had a very dangerous fire hazard. There was an extreme amount of lint and dust blown out. He also made sure the proper fittings were in place for our dryer type so as to avoid another fire hazard. Our dryer burned out and the technician recommended that we have the dryer vent cleaned. Well, King David came out and completely cleaned the vent, all the way to the roof. He got up on the roof and made sure we were completely clear. He was prompt, professional and the pricing was very reasonable. I called this company based on Yelp reviews. No lie, they are awesome. First I called them for my dryer vent (which they took care of super quickly, efficiently, and effectively). Then, as a courtesy, he told me that he also does air ducts and would I like to have him take a look; as I had just purchased my home, I said yes. Well, he did, and as he pulled down the existing air filter, no joke, dust bunnies fell to the floor. *sigh* Okay, how much. He quoted a price (very reasonable for 11 vents and my fireplace flue) and was available the next business day. He came with a team member, they worked hard, cleaned the vents, the ducts, my fireplace flue, and cleaned up after themselves. Overall rating? 10/10. Would absolutely hire them again (and will in two years when it's time to redo my dryer vent and 7 years when it's time to do my ducts again). Would I recommend them to friends, family, and colleagues? Absolutely, and I already have. read more

If I could give this company more than 5 stars I would! The owner King is so detailed in explaining his work that I didn't hesitate at all to choose his company to do my dryer vent cleaning. He had all the proper equipment and while servicing, I was thankful to have him explain and walk me through the process of what and why he was doing the things he was. That made me feel comfortable to trust him and his work in my home. I also liked the fact that he advised us if there was to be any added charges to any services recommended to have done instead of just doing something and charging us as a surprise in the end. Bottom line is that this guy knows this business so well that after using his company, I would NOT use any other company out there. There was another issue we needed done, which wasn't in his expertise, but King was helpful enough to recommend another company to us and they did an excellent job as well!! We made an appointment for a dryer vent cleaning. After having 2 different services attempt to clean the duct without success, we thought we'd call Dryer Fires LV because of the high review rating on Yelp. We were not disappointed! King, the owner, ran late, but called ahead to let us know. When he got there, he ran through the points of the service he would be providing, as well as possible costs (and whether or not it was likely those costs would be necessary). He took a picture of the duct to show us how clogged it was, and that there wasn't any light coming through the duct at all (the duct vents on our roof). He explained that, most of the time, there is a mesh at the end of the duct on that typically traps lint and creates a damn. He got his ladder out and check on the roof vent, and sure enough, there was a clog the size of a small bird's nest. After removing the clog and mesh, he vacuumed the vent, cleaned the area around the dryer for all excess lint, and even vacuumed out the dryer trap. We'll definitely be calling on King again! read more
