I never felt rushed or silly for asking anything, which I truly appreciated. I explained that I couldn't accommodate the standard four-hour service window, and Deb worked with me to schedule a more specific arrival time between 8:30 and 10:30. The technician arrived right in the middle of that window. The technician, Camilio, was superb. He made my rickety, falling apart doors operate like brand new. He also cleaned out over 10 years of dust and kitten fur buildup around the screen and let me know that one of the logs hadn't been placed correctly (something I never would have known). When we moved into my house the previous owner did not leave any parts of the gas fireplace behind. No logs, no burner, nothing, just an empty fireplace with a gas stub. Over the years it became dusty from disuse and a bit of an eyesore and waste of space in the house. I finally decided to do something about it and called FireplaceFix. I wish I had called them years ago as our fireplace now looks amazing and is fully functional. I called them up and after taking down some details about the age of my house and the type of fireplace, they scheduled a technician to take a look so we could get an accurate estimate. He arrived on time a few days later and took some measurements. A week later we got a quote for everything and after accepting, we arranged a date to install after the parts ordered would be available. Once again the same technician was dispatched and he spent a few hours cleaning out the years of dust and debris from the fireplace and repainting the bricks inside a matte black. Next he installed the kit and tested it out. It looks amazing and works great! I don't like posting prices here because your situation will probably be different and you should just call them for a price. I will say this, they gave me a rough estimate over the phone in my first call that was very close to what we had to pay. They do charge for the first visit $75 just to come out and take measurements and evaluate the situation but this gets applied to your final invoice if you choose to have them do the work. Finally, while it was an expensive fix for us, my family is pleased with the result and I consider it money well spent. I highly recommend FireplaceFix. read more

Christmas for Courtney came in September, folks! The NUMBER ONE priority (of mine, ahem...) upon moving into my new home, was to get the fireplace... "DONE".
