had an appointment with SoCal Dryer Vent Pros on Tuesday to clean my dryer vent. They canceled at the last minute, saying one of their workers had been in an accident, but offered to send someone the next day. On Wednesday, October 8th, a technician came to inspect the vent and give me a quote. Without much inspection, he said it needed a deep clean, which would cost $475 plus $40 for a new hose. I agreed to proceed with the job. Before the service, my dryer was working fine--just drying a little slow. Right after the cleaning, my dryer stopped working completely. When I contacted the company, they told me they don't fix dryers. I then hired another reputable company to check, and they confirmed that my dryer itself was in perfect condition--the problem was with the vent. When I called SoCal Dryer Vent Pros to have them come back and take a look, they repeatedly hung up on me. They even hung up on my husband when he tried calling. I later found out that the person who did the work wasn't even from their company--it was someone from A&M Janitorial Service, which is who we had to make the check out to. SoCal Dryer Vent Pros refuses to take responsibility or even return calls. Their website claims they're reachable 24/7 by phone or email and that "100% satisfaction is our promise and pleasure," but my experience was the exact opposite. Where to begin . . . SCAM COMPANY. Avoid at all costs - we should have! Roi came over with dirty hands. He broke the outside vent cover, which now needs to be replaced and merely tried to "fix" his damage with some tape! When he left, the dryer line inside the house was not connected properly, as, now, when the dryer is in use, the laundry room is hot and steamy. It was not like that before he came over. In addition, he left the laundry room a mess. There was lint all over the top of the dryer and the floor and there were dirt smudges all across the top of the dryer. Roi left without telling us what he broke and now we have to hire Coit to fix everything that Roi did incorrectly. We called his number the next day to discuss these issues. The person who answered the phone merely wanted to know our address and how much we had paid ($400). We never heard from them again and now their phone goes unanswered. They have not set up their voicemail; so, we have no way of contacting them. I also texted Roi and got no response. As of now, we do not seem to have any recourse. This company is a scam. I called them for dryer vent cleaning and they showed up early (not within the timeframe we discussed) and instead of $69 they charged us $290. All they did was blow out the vent and clear a very small amount of lint. My husband was home when they came and didn't realize we had agreed to $69 so he paid the $290 in zelle to the technician. (which is also shady) I called to complain, and they told me they would talk to the technician and send me an invoice with a breakdown of the charges. That invoice never came and now I call and call and they have ghosted me. We are out $290 and by the way they only clean the main vent, not the vent inside your dryer. TOTAL RIP OFF - DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I would give them zero stars if I could. They should be in jail. read more

We found Dryer Vent Pro company on yelp. I told them that the plumbing pipe for the dryer vent was not the required 4inches and the pipe was not coming off the wall at least 1 inch past the wall for my dryer to be properly installed by the company. They assured me that this was something they could do and that if I accepted the estimate they would have the parts in their truck and fix it then. They come early this morning and put some type of dryer vent spackeling in between an off sized meal oval. Then they removed the incorrectly sized metal oval and all the spackeling they installed just dropped away most likely on the floor behind the drywall. I was standing there behind the technician when he removed the off sized oval metal piece. He then told me that he did not have the right sized metal piece and had to come back. I wondered why he even used spackeling since after he removed the incorrect piece it was not needed. I told the tech I was not paying again for any other work already done. Later this afternoon he returned and drilled the proper 4 inch whole, placed the meal pipe at the joint and used electrical tape to ensure no holes at the joint. Unfortunately this company tells folks that they are comprehensive in their prep for dryers and after they placed the pipe and I paid $300 there is still a gap between the pipe and my wall. Normally I could skip cosmetic items but dryers with improper venting can cause a fire and the dryer installation company will not install the dryer with this gap. I would not recommend this company. They left and I had to call my reliable painter to make a final fix. Three total visits later and I'm not impressed. My dryer delivery was postponed again because of poor prep. read more

I needed my dryer vent cleaned. Dryer Vent Cleaning Pro estimated $69 over the phone, after I explained exactly what my set up was. Upon arrival the tech said it would be $350. I asked why it went from $69 to $350. He said it was because the vent needed to be unclogged (isn't this the reason you get your dryer vent cleaned?). I called another company and they did a fantastic job for $120. Took them all of 45 minutes (including replacing the vent hood) and got a ton of stuff out and my dryer is working perfectly again :) read more

This business advertises a $68 fee for cleaning out the dryer venting. I spoke to David on the phone. I clearly explained to him that the vent line in the wall was blocked at or near the roof level of the wall vent. He said they would clean it for the $68 advertised fee. Their guy came out and said it would cost $550.00 to clean out the 18 foot length of wall vent tubing. I said, you told me on the phone it was $68, his reply was, that fee is only to clean the flexible tubing that connects the dryer to the wall vent. I told him that's false advertising. His reply was, "are you telling me how to run my business ". Do NOT use this business, it is nothing more than a scam to rip you off. They basically are offering to clean your lint trap only for $68. Bait and Switch. Called for an 89.00 duct cleaning. Scheduled with no questions asked. They had to reschedule several times since they couldn't seem to make it on the time that was set. Got a call from owner saying he would give me a discount since they had been late. Technician shows up. Then says you want ducts clean? I said yes. He walked around my house and and said your ducts look clean. Then he said can I see your AC unit. He then opened the bottom of the unit and said it needed to be cleaned. The AC intake is a box about 2foot by 2foot. He then quoted me 1695.00 for cleaning and 295.00 for some special steam. Then he asked what did they quote your for Duct cleaning? I said 89.00 he said Ok let me add that to the quote too. LOL!! I thought to myself man Im in the wrong business. Dont be fooled the 89.00 price is to just get in your door. read more

We've been suspecting that our dryer vent was disconnected for a while, and we finally decided to hire a professional to check it out. Roi was very easy to contact. I contacted him through his website and he called me the next day to set up an appointment for my preferred date. I liked that he was available to come in on a Sunday. He provided me with a time window for his arrival time, and then called when he was on his way. He came prepared and ready to go! I have no desire to go in the crawl space, so I was very happy Roi did it without even thinking about it.
