The initial technician claimed they would work with my insurance and even suggested replacing all my kitchen counters. That seemed excessive, but I trusted his guidance. After signing the contract, he texted me about a "fantastic" deal that would save me money and returned shortly after, saying we didn't need to involve insurance. Instead, he quoted a flat $3,200 to fix the water damage. He left two fans and another piece of equipment, promising someone would return the next day (Saturday) to continue the job. Saturday came and went -- no one showed up. At 5 p.m., a technician called to say he ran out of time and would come Sunday at 9 a.m. That didn't happen either. After a few follow-ups, I was told the tech had a flat tire and would arrive by 11:05. Eventually, Jordan showed up. By this point, I was completely frustrated. Jordan was polite and listened, but when I asked what he was there to do, he said he was only checking moisture levels and would drill holes in the toe kick to blow in more air. When I asked about repairing the sheetrock damage, he told me Dry Force doesn't do sheetrock repairs. Seriously? $3,200 just to blow air? At that point, I told them to pack up and leave. Jordan called his manager, who picked up with, "How can I help you?" I replied, "You tell me -- your team can't complete the job." The manager said he'd review everything and call me back the next day. That call never came -- just an email and a $1,000 invoice for a job that was never completed. I declined to pay it and told them why. I never heard back. To top it off, Jordan told me he was originally assigned to my call but got pulled off for a "bigger job," and that the technician from Austin turned around because he got sick -- just another example of poor coordination and communication. Bottom line: poor service, misleading communication, incomplete work, and unacceptable follow-through. Look elsewhere.

United Water Restoration came to my house on 1/12/22 and gave me a quote to clean all of my vents, took a deposit for half, then called me the next day to say they didn't quote me the correct price and it would be more than double what they originally quoted. I told them I was not longer interested and asked for a refund, which they agreed to provide. I've called them three times since then because they still have not refunded my money.

It gave me 2 additional contractors since primary one failed to respond. Within minutes, I started chatting with Jay F from A+fforable on Yelp app. It took a little effort but really efficient to get it done. I guess it's called "Virtual Consultation" during Covid-19 pandemic. Within 2 hours, I got a quote and secured an appointment. I immediately contacted my insurance agent to start a claim. On my first day meeting Austin for damage assessment, he brought Wilmer to start water mitigation. Austin is the supervisor, as you already know from other reviews. He quickly setup dehumidifier, fan and heavy-duty HEPA air purifier. In the same week, they came back with another helper Juan to perform tear out and sprayed fungicide to kill molds and checking for additional damage. I want to share my experience based on my initial connection before this review gets too long. Next thing is to rebuild my room. Having to wait on my insurance claim approval. In this modern age, hard to find a reliable contractor and someone easy to get alone. I will use A+fforable to help me to get my life back to completion.
