This is an update to my previous review in which I explained how bad their service was after my shoe broke 30 minutes after wearing them for the first time. I called DSW corporate and complained about the service and how I want even offered store credit. They had the manager of this store call me personally to apologize. She had them ship me a brand new pair to my home for no charge and assured me that the clerk was incorrect in their return policy. She said she would provide re-training so this does not happen again. I am pleased with their resolution to my problem and I am once again a DSW shopper. read more

Beware! I bought a pair of pumps that fit perfect and looked great. I tried them on again at home and loved them so I threw away the receipt. I wore them for 30 minutes and the left heel broke off...while I was sitting down! These were Nine West shoes and cost me $60. I brought them in to the store after having to limp around work all day. They didn't have any more in my size and I didn't see anything else in the store that I wanted. They told me there was nothing I could do, unless I wanted to drive 50 miles each way to go to another store that "might" have my size. I will NEVER shop here again. I went to DSW in Redlands yesterday. I wanted some boots but no idea what kind. First, a young man tried helping me. I had a few questions on what clothes certain boots would go with so he asked Valerie to help me. The young man was very helpful and Valeris offered her style advice and helped me pick out some boots. Great friendly service! You would think they were working on commission but they dont, i asked. I walked in the other day, and this employee named Matt? Or something with an M helped me out! He was WONDERFUL, and I really appreciated his positive attitude. I was very indecisive with what I wanted and was just going to walk out empty handed but thanks to him I bought two pair of shoes! If you need assistance ask for Matt :) I recommend him! The audacity the assistant manager had to run out of the store after my grandmother left chase her down in the parking lot and start to yell at her, aggressively point her finger in her face and on top of it all being so close and in her face that she was spitting on her. Receiving emails for DSW saying they want to put the health of both their customers and employees first yet they have employees running in the parking lot to yell in an old ladies face. Just ridiculous!! To go on the assistant manager, Veronica, I believe she said her name was threatens to go pull all her personal information from her vip account and tells her she better watch out. My grandmothers in fear that this lady will show up at her house because she is willing to break DSWs privacy policy and pull her personal information. I've worked in retail for many many years and i had the understanding that you put the customer first you don't chase them into the parking lot because they asked for help and when Veronica fell short in helping my grandmother she made a comment saying she found the shoe she couldn't find. That does not deserve the response that she showed. I hope that this store evaluates who they have working for them. Beyond awful customer service and just ridiculous this even happened!! read more

It was a pleasant experience until we got to the check out. We waited fir at least 10 min while the near empty store could not spare a second cashier. While the only other customer service was taking so much time. So after reading the poster over and over urging us to purchase a gift card and as a thank-you gift, receive a bonus card, we decided to take them up on it and get the bonus that they were so excited to give us for buying a gift card. Ok! Well, part of our total purchase was a gift, so my mother bought a gift card out of her pocket for 150 bucks. Then handed it to me at which point the cashier said we couldn't use the prepaid card until the next day. They had her money and we had to leave the merchandise sand come back the next day to use the money they already had from us. It's not like we were buying it on credit, the transaction was approved and they have the dough! No indication was given that we would have to return the next day to take merchandise we just paid for. The cashier didn't reveal the "catch" until after the transaction was complete. What gives them the right to deny the card that represents money paid to them? read more

Went to DSW shoe store in Redlands and was looking at every black high heel shoe that would be comfortable and stylish. Well I was trying to decide taking a very long time lol. Out came a sales representative Alex, he came to my rescue and ask if I needed help and I said definitely yes. He ask me was I looking comfort , I said yes then he pick out the shoe and also gave me a few pointers on how the heels could look with different clothing. I will continue to go to DSW again and look for Alex. I was very satisfied with his service compared to the other associate who didn't give me any of her time. read more

I went into DSW on valentines day and I was kind of down for obvious reasons and a nice young man (I think his name was Luis or Louis i don't remember but it started with an L) helped me and was very polite, changed my whole mood. This is the kind of service all retail workers should provide. Excellent service will definitely be coming back for future purchases. read more

My rating is 0 stars. My 82-yr old mother was mistreated by an assistant manager named Veronica. My mom is a bargain hunter. She selected a pair of shoes that was on sale, and asked the sales staff to hold the shoes for her. When she returned, she was disappointed to find out that the store policy is to hold merchandise for only 24 hours. Eventually she found the shoes again. This took time, and she asked several questions that apparently tried the patience of the staff, who called Veronica out to help. Mom worked in retail when she was young, in the era when people went out of their way to help customers and make them feel valued. Veronica's work ethic is the opposite of that. She tried to shame my elderly mother for trying to get the sale price that had been promised a few days before. She even followed her into the parking lot to scold her about giving the sales associates a hard time. read more

I love this store. A lot of great selections for shoes! Heels, flats, boots, sandals, sneakers... Also prices are good and they have a great clearance section that ranges from 30%-80% off. I find it funny that the men's section takes up like 15% of the big ass space, and the rest is all for women lol. read more

I went into the Redlands store this morning to try to find a new pair of flats. (Actually, I was trying to replace my favorite pair.) I walked into the store which was not busy and was not acknowledged. I wandered around a bit, trying to find what I needed. An employee wandered by and I said good morning. He looked at me like I was an alien and walked away. Needless to say, I walked out , without new shoes. Talk about lack of customer service. I will not be going back there. read more

Very disappointed! You don't know if a shoe will hurt until you wear it, right? DSW will not take back a shoe if it's worn. They need to change there policy on returns. The store is not located near my home, so when I go there, I have to make a special trip. I bought some shoes there in November and they absolutely killed my feet! I kept the bag and box with the receipt in it and kept saying I was going to take them back. Not knowing how stern they were with their policy, I took them back 2 weeks ago (April). They refused to give me store credit or allow me to return them. However, the person who said she was the manager offered a 10% or 15% discount if I made another purchase that day and it could not be used later. I think I will shop Kohl's from now on. They want to keep their customers. DSW doesn't care about customer satisfaction. read more
