The food here has been very good in the past. I honestly don't know how it is now. We tried to get seated tonight only to be told that it wood be a 45 min to an hour wait. There were many open tables, but I'm guessing that they're very understaffed. It appears that the owner was the only person out front. We've always been happy with the food and service in the past, but if tonight is an indication of what is going to happen going forward, it'll be unlikely that we'd return. read more

Some of the recent reviews mention that they are short staffed due to COVID, which is true. However, that's not a reason to write them off. They are a small business trying to make it in these times! If you go during peak hours, expect that it will take a bit longer. I believe it's just the husband and wife operating at the moment. Luckily I live within 5-10 minutes, so on the occasion that I am out running errands I will place an order in house, then go home and finish something around the house before heading back to pick up my meal. Not a huge inconvenience. However, I did rate 4/5 stars because they will disconnect their phone if it is terribly busy, so you can't place an order over the phone. DT Noodle has now been serving great Vietnamese cuisine in west Roseville for more than four years, and I figured it was about time that I pay them a visit. The menu is vast and features exactly 69 food selections, including appetizers Vietnamese sandwiches, pho (noodle soup,) Chef specialties, vermicelli and rice plates. If you add desert items and drinks, the menu comes to a whopping 105 items, and they're all numbered! Beer and wine is on the way, but since they're so new, DT Noodle doesn't have the license from the city at this writing, so I had to settle for ice water. If you aren't familiar with Vietnamese cuisine, no worries, as the friendly staff will be glad to assist you, and there are pictures on the wall of numbered items from the menu. I was hungry, so I felt an appetiser was in order, so I ordered #7 from the appetizer section of the menu, Shrimp Tempura, a.k.a. "Rocket Shrimp," or in Vietnamese, Tôm Hoa Tien. I must admit that when I think of "tempura," I think of the light batter used in Japanese cuisine, but the Vietnamese have a different slant on "tempura," as the shrimp are wrapped in a wonton skin and deep fried. I have no idea of what the dipping sauce is, but all I can say is I loved it. The vegetable garnishes made the presentation complete, and I devoured the whoe thing, including the tails and the lettuce leaf. Delicious! My main entry, #50 from the Vermicelli section of the menu, Bún ba màu. You may ask, what is this? It's grilled pork strips, grilled shrimp, egg roll and veggies placed on thin vermicelli. The veggies consisted of shredded lettuce, carrot, bean sprouts, cucumber and green onion, and were crispy fresh. Note: Good Vietnamese food always features lots of crisp, fresh vegetables. As I was about ready to dig in, Danny came over to my table to let me know the sauce was to pour on the vegetables. I thanked him, but I already knew that, as I'm somewhat experienced when it comes to the cuisine of Viet Nam. The veggies were super fresh, and the bean sprouts snapped... now that's fresh! The pork and shrimp were grilled perfectly, and everything about the meal was delicious, and... perfect! I applied fish sauce to the vegetables, as I love the combination of fish sauce and vegetables. The food is delicious, the dining room is comfortable and clean, the price is right, and the owners are friendly, nice people. I loved this fine restaurant and I rate it a solid 5 stars! I was amazed at the delicious food served by DT Noodle! They serve some of the best Vietnamese cuisine that I've enjoyed in a long time! Since I work in Roseville and live in nearby Citrus Heights, I rarely make the trek to Sacramento for a quick dining fix. And when it comes to Vietnamese food, I've always been a fan favorite of the many restaurants that South Sacramento has to offer. And for a city such as Roseville offering authentic Vietnamese dishes, this is something I just had to check out. Which takes me to "DT Noodle". Located in a strip mall on Foothills Blvd. and adjacent to Junction Blvd., I would not have known about "DT Noodle" had it not been for Douglas Y. & Mymy N.'s reviews. And since I wasn't coming for a full on sit-down dining experience, I just wanted a quick lunch fix. Which takes me to one of my favorite Vietnamese sandwiches, the Bánh mì. I noticed on their menu prior to coming in here that they offer 6 different types of Bánh mì sandwiches. Score! When I entered, it was a chilly January afternoon around 3:30pm. The restaurant was packed with almost all of the tables being used. What I particularly liked was how clean and spacious the inside was. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted and the gentleman said "for here or to-go". I politely acknowledged him by saying "to-go" and told him exactly what I wanted. I chose the #14 which was the "Bánh mì Heo Nuong" (for $5.75). This was essentially a grilled pork sandwich complete with cilantro, cucumbers, pickled carrots, and white radishes. Total wait time was roughly 10 minutes. Keep in mind, $5.75 is on the higher end of the spectrum for a Bánh mì sandwich. There are many Vietnamese sandwich places in South Sacramento and farther south in Stockton that sell these exact same sandwiches from $3.00-$4.00. But remember, this is Roseville where just about everything is on the pricier side including their food. When I did receive my sandwich, I was pleasantly surprised just how well proportioned the size was. The pork was seasoned well but just a tad too sweet and salty for my taste buds. I did love the baguette as this was definitely on the softer side compared to most Bánh mì's that I've had at other Vietnamese restaurants. Since they obviously offer much, much more than sandwiches, I definitely want to try their Pho, Vermicelli, Rice Plates, Appetizers, and even smoothies to get a more detailed honest review of this place. Overall, "DT Noodle" is a very well-run restaurant for those of you that don't wish to venture out of the Roseville/Rocklin/Lincoln area. My overall rating for service, prices, ambiance, and quality of food, a solid four stars! read more

The staff that took my order was really nice and friendly. I got the grilled pork banh mi and it was good! Wish I wasn't out of sriracha at home because it was a little dry but not bad at all. Also got the spicy wontons. They didn't travel well home and were just ok so not sure I would get them again. Phò seemed like the perfect meal for this rainy weather. I'm used to the small, crowded Phò restaurants in Vallejo, so I was pretty surprised to see how spacious this place was and how very few people were eating here! We ordered spring rolls first and I was glad to see they had a veggie option. At the other places I've been to they don't have the option of taking the meat out. The rolls were huge. It was kind of funny looking actually! A little difficult to eat. I ordered my usual chicken soup and my friend had their meatball and beef soup. The bowls were smaller than I'm used to, but that's okay with me because I usually can't finish a small bowl. Flavors were there and the service was good. The noodles were a little clumped together but other than that, nothing out of the ordinary! Overall: This is a nice, clean place and if I were in town I wouldn't mind eating here again. read more

A family owned restaurant the husband is the one who serves and the wife is the great cook. On the weekend you'll see their kids helping out clean out tables. Woo Hoo, finally an clean authentic Vietnamese place with good food, good portions and good prices in the Roseville/Rocklin area! Now there are plenty of Vietnamese places around but all of them suffer from one thing or another either being overpriced or in need of a remodel. Fortunately DT Noodle suffers from none of these flaws. We ordered shrimp, egg roll, pork rice vermicelli and were rewarded with large portions of fresh noodles, tasty pork (not sweet though), fresh shrimp and a tasty egg roll. I believe the large bowl was around $8-9 bucks. We also had a fruit, coconut milk and shaved ice dessert which was refreshing and an Vietnamese ice coffee which was to weak. From the looks of the menu DT Noodle has lots to offer in a clean and modern setting. This is now our go to spot for Vietnamese in the Roseville/Rocklin area. Went to this place because of the rating but completely regret it. First, the food doesn't have flavor and second, the place is very dirty. Questionable customer service. The young man working there was nice. The older woman in the kitchen had a scowl on her face while staring at my husband the entire time he was ordering at the country. 03/24/18: 3rd update on this spot. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to knock off a star. Truthfully, it's about 3.5 at this point. We do take out from here at least once every two months. We always order 2 small pho dac biets (special/combo) to go. The last few times we have encountered the same issue, NOT ENOUGH BROTH. Tonight we ordered for pick up and I specifically requested for extra broth and explained that they have given too little in the pass. The lady told me it would cost extra, first $1 and then $3 and then finally $4. I asked her to clarify. She said hold on and spoke to someone at the restaurant. Well, I understand Vietnamese. The gentleman speaking in the background said "just tell her we fill the to go bowl to the rim." Cue my Vietnamese. I reiterated what I said earlier in Vietnamese emphasizing that they don't give enough pho broth and the pho is really dry. She stood her ground and said extra broth is $3 or $4. Made no sense so I just said fine, $3. I know what it takes to make pho, and I know it would not hurt their business to provide additional broth to make sure pho was being served and eaten the way it is supposed to be. To prove a point, I did a test. I prepared each bowl exactly how it should be with all the ingredients. I put two of the broth servings in one pot, and the third in a separate pot. Once everything came to a boil I poured the two servings, which is supposed to be enough according to them, into the bowl. You'll see in my photos it barely grazes over the top of the ingredients. Definitely not enough. Pho is meant to be eaten with plenty of broth. So I definitely had to pour the 3rd serving of the broth. Even with the 3rd serving, it was just enough for a decent amount of broth. I'm hoping they read this and the other reviews to realize their broth portions are way off. Ironically, they give you plenty of all the ingredients that are more expensive than the broth itself... ------------ Wow, as a die hard Vietnamese pho loving person, I was impressed. Truthfully, nothing beats home made pho so I am very picky with the pho I eat. I was first surprised by the presence of cinnamon and star anis, which is required in true pho broth but you never smell it or taste the essence of it. The broth was light and flavorful. The meat was tender and the perfect amount of each cut. I never drink the broth, but I was sipping on it til the end. Plenty of herbs! I don't know why, but every Vietnamese restaurant skimps on the herbs which brightens the flavor of the broth. Glad to have found this spot. With the hundreds of Vietnamese restaurants opening up, this one has feeling of home the most. Don't be fooled by all of these Americanized Vietnamese food places. Go for authenticity. We will be coming back very soon. Update 11/20/2017: Still my favorite Vietnamese spot in the area, even compared to south sac. I went to DT noodle for lunch. They have plenty of parking space. Overall, their noodle soup is average and has ok portions. I ordered chicken noodle soup, the Vietnamese mini dumplings appetizers, and shrimp tempura appetizer. I really like the Vietnamese-style crispy shrimp tempura. It's fresh and surprisingly delicious with its golden, crispy skin. The Vietnamese mini dumplings tasted good, but it's kind of chewy. They came with deliciously sweet fish sauce. The chicken soup was average. Our server was nice, and he often came back to check if our water needed to be refilled. If I'm the area and looking for noodle soup, I'd definitely come back for the shrimp rolls again. read more

A couple of things: 1) food overpriced 2) shrimp spring rolls were horrible- One shrimp cut lengthwise to create a facade, then loaded with crappy iceberg lettuce that wasn't even cut small enough so every bite was like a lettuce wrap. Way too much lettuce, they used the yellow stem of the lettuce to boot, no mint or cilantro in the rolls, then the hoisin sauce was cold and too small of an amount to combat the salad wedge. 3) I ordered with the spring rolls a Vermicelli bowl. The meat was tough and had no flavor, the egg roll was thin and uncut which gave it a very unsightly appearance. The grilled shrimp were very small and over charred. Also no flavor 4) the fish/vinegar add on sauce was awful. Lacked flavor and was under seasoned 5) they use fake Sriracha. They saved and reuse the bottles but fill it with the Tabasco Sriracha or some other generic brand 6) the service was crappy because they stare at you while you are eating and give the vibe that you will dine and ditch 7) dirty floors in dinning area and bathroom not very clean either. 8) my guess is that the owners and staff and not even Vietnamese which would explain why the flavors were off. Skip this place and just cook some Top Ramen! read more

I may have come on an off day, or possibly ordered the wrong thing, but our meal was unfortunately rather underwhelming. We ordered their fried rice, which came out a little dry and bland. It would be awesome if they could add a little more depth in flavor to really make the dish pop! I ordered the wonton noodle soup since I have been on the hunt for some recently. The wontons were a little hard to get through and the broth lacked the flavor I was looking for. We probably should have stuck to viet food instead of straying away from what they're known for. The store is located in a strip mall with ample parking. The server was sweet although she confused our order a few times while ordering. The food is decent for what's offered in the area, but if you're willing to travel outside of Roseville there are several places that are far better. I'm giving them one star because I cannot get over how unpleasant the male waiter was and from some of the other reviews I've read, this is an on-going issue. I do find it strange that when another family walked in he responded completely different to them. He was smiling and very attentive; came back to our table and was dry and unpleasant. Before the other party came in, I just assumed he was having a long and hard day so I gave him a pass and completely disregarded his unpleasant energy. When watching his demeanor change with the other party, I really had to wonder why?? Usually noodle places don't provide a lot of options for low-carb vegetarians but the veggie option instead of noodles is awesome Also typically you get very little tofu and a ton of cabbage when you order a tofu bowl. I just can't seem to find the Pho my family loved back in the Bay Area.... this place was pretty good, though. We had two small sliced rare beef pho's, a beef rice plate, and a chicken bahn mi sandwich. My teens liked their pho. My sliced beef had a nice flavor, but there was grease on my plate under it, and for veggies there were only two slices of cucumber. I would've like some pickled veggies. The sandwich was pretty good, though the chicken was a bit over cooked for some of the pieces. The bread was good. Lose one star for these small issues. The one thing that I noticed that made them lose another star was when the waiter (maybe owner?) poured water into our glasses he touched the pitcher to the rim of each glass.... ew. He was nice and the rest of the restaurant seemed pretty clean. read more
