The donut I got vs the donut I was expecting.. I don't understand why they'd even allow this to be sold?

What a fun place to take the family! Each kid got to pick a donut custom sized by themselves. They get to watch it being made which is so fun!! They have donuts that are listed with different toppings and flavors that your can choose from or you can create your own. We didn't try them but they also do shakes and coffee.

Custom half dozen: I don't remember all of the flavors, but we enjoyed them.

4.5! I had seen this name floating around and I finally got a chance to check them out. I didn't realize that their donuts were made to order so it was a pleasant surprise to receive a box of warm donuts. They have a variety of toppings. These donuts are a sweeter dough that kind of reminds me of the sweet sixteen powder donuts as far as level of sweetness. There was a few seating available inside. They offer drinks and ice cream as well. The staff was nice. I'll be going back for sure.

Great doughnut shop! I ordered three dozen doughnuts and they cooked them fresh and customized them very quickly. Perfect service. Welcoming, friendly ambiance. Highly recommend giving this place a shot - I believe you will be impressed.

These donuts and the customer service here was amazing!! I love donuts and this was my first time at a place like this so I was overwhelmed but the staff was so helpful! The donuts are fried and made fresh to order and you get to watch them make it. Easily the best donuts I've ever had I cannot wait to return!

We've been to the DD in the OBX but forgot (after a few years) that the model includes made to order donuts. We quickly got our head around the model and ordered 6 sprinkle donuts for our niece and nephew. Of course, when still warm, DD is unbeatable. All were delicious. We love the selection/menu and while we have simpler donut tastes, we appreciate ALL the pomp we saw going on behind the glass.

Start with a donut, pick your covering (like glazed, powder), pick any toppings (like sprinkles) , pick a drizzle. Each step is optional. They are fresh and warm to the order. So good! We've been to duck donuts in North Carolina on vacation before. This time we went to this SC location. It's the same #1 donut in the world! Yes it is the best! When we go out for donuts, my wife will normally have a half, a bite or maybe one donut if it is a great donut place. Duck Donuts is the only place where she has two donuts and leaves wanting more. If you know her, that's verification that the are world's best!

Wow. Do I recommend Duck Donuts? If you haven't had Duck Donuts, you're missing out. This place has gourmet donuts. They make the donuts that you order after you order them. They come warm. Fresh. Delicious. They have bacon as a topping for their donuts. You can pick what kind of toppings you'd like on your donuts. Or you can choose from their already delicious menu of choices. I like the maple bacon one and really any of them with bacon. I also tried a couple different blueberry donuts that were amazing. I got a lemon raspberry one that was also very delicious. They even have milkshakes here y'all. That makes this place a clear winner in my book. The milkshake was so good too. They drizzled chocolate and caramel sauce all over the inside of the cup. Deluxe. I approve of this establishment.

Been seeing how this donut chain has been rapidly growing throughout the states...and now I see why! I finally took the time to try them on our beach vacation in Edisto/Charleston, at the West Ashley location. First of all, I liked seeing the wide selection of flavors/toppings...plus you can customize your own. Plus, every donut is made fresh to order (so it does take a little bit more time than your typical donut shop). Since it was my first time, I decided not to customize...and just went with half a dozen signature varieties. Downside was that the donuts were on the small side...but guess that's not a bad thing if you're counting calories? Also, the topping presentation could be better. I mean, look at that sloppy layering of chocolate over the strawberry donut! Overall, these are super-yummy donuts that are reasonably priced...and well worth trying. I shared the box with my boys, and they were definitely fans as well...so I'm bound to return for more. Maybe I'll check out one of the Charlotte or Fort Mill locations when I return home?

Had heard great things about duck donuts..but my wife and I had not been able to find a location until we went to Daniels island..finally we were able to satisfy our little taste buds with massive heavenly like maple bacon donuts! Hopefully we Will be able to return to a duck donut and try other flavors! read more

GREAT customer service, selection and Covid protocol. The donuts are made to order with a large selection of toppings. Tried the Love dozen today and an iced vanilla latte with caramel...so yummy!! Indya and her crew today were on point and should be praised for doing a great job plus being so patient with those of us that are indecisive because of all the options. It seemed as if she was training the two that were working with her, all were 5 stars!! read more

Been wanting to try this place since it opened and never did bc I have diabetes and donuts... so yeah. BUT. I did today bc I needed coffee. And I have neverrrrr had to use a knife and fork for a donut BUT they were SO fresh out of the oven I needed to and I would again and again! I even poured he wrong coffee bc I didn't see the "iced" coffee to the side and one of the workers got me a new cup as I melted my ice with the hot. I felt bad wasting coffee but he assured me it was ok and he wanted me to have the iced! :) I will definitely come back! ** I got the blueberry with lemon icing and a maple glaze with cinnamon donuts** read more

I love their donuts. I was never a huge donut fan until I had their donuts. The donuts and perfectly fried and airy in the center. It's not too heavy of a dessert which why I love it. My favorite donuts are the cinnamon sugar and the maple bacon. They are also not stingey on the bacon. They are nice thick chunks perfectly cooked. They are seriously mouth watering. read more

This is one of my fav places to go in west ashley. I love how they make the donuts fresh and hot. The donut is more like a cake consistency. The only bad thing is that they go stale fast. And they dont taste as good the next day. So you have to eat them the day of for the best experience. read more

Very fresh! Love that they make the doughnuts right in front of you. Staff is always friendly and service is fast. I think it's a great addition to the west ashley area. The combinations you can make are unique and fun or you can just get original flavored doughnuts as well. My favorite visit has been around Halloween with all the themed flavors. Service is always GREAT! The doughnuts are far past beyond the BEST! My favorite is definitely the Maple bacon!!!! That explains the long lines but it does move quickly! So if you want a different flavor in doughnuts then you would want to check them out! read more

Wow!! Best donut of my life. Blueberry and lemon drizzle... sooo happy I made the choice to drive across town to divulge for a minute on a perfectly savory sweet treat. I would of eaten a whole dozen like the three fat asses sitting next to us whom each ordered a dozen donuts and two Coca-Colas. They need to hurry and pull out their insulin pens from having a diabetic coma. Five stars to this place for making my day. read more

This place is amazing! Staff are the sweetest. We took our son as a reward. He was asking all day for this but we didn't think to look what time it closed. We got there just after it closed. He was devastated! They saw how sad he was and brought him one out and apologized it wasn't the freshest. Well let me tell you we will be back for the "freshest" because this one as is tasted amazing and was made even sweeter by staff who obviously care! Thank you!! read more

So good. It's more of a donut cake as it is denser than most donuts. My kids and I are completely obsessed. The vanilla icing with oreo, glazed icing with Graham cracker crumber, maple bacon is our usual order. I love that it is made to order so it's always warm and fresh. I wish they offered rewards for being loyal customer since I come rather often. It was about a 24 min drive from where I live but it's definitely worth the drive. I highly recommend this place. Only thing I don't like would be the hot chocolate, it was watered down and it was luke warm. It was very disappointing considering how amazing the donuts are. It makes me skeptical about trying their coffee. read more

If you love a good donut, you will love Duck Donuts. For a brief moment, my kids were getting along and hugging each other and all was right with the world. They looooved their donuts. You go in, pick your donut, pick your toppings and enjoy the deliciousness that is the Duck Donut. Now I am a self-proclaimed Krispy Kreme fanatic, but this was a really good donut alternative. It is a little cakey and warm and hate to use the word, but moist. Yes moist. It was delicious though. I got a vanilla donut with chocolate glaze and bacon. It was amazing. The workers are super good with safety for the whole Covid mess they make you wear masks and have social distancing. The donuts are also perfect size and they just taste so perfect. you can create your own donuts so you dont have to worry about much allergies. They also do mobile orders. read more

I am new to the Duck Donut craze so I brought some visiting family with me to explore the excitement. It was a chilly rainy day so we decided warm donuts were a tasty treat. There was a moderate line as we entered the store. But the line moved quickly and soon our order was being produced right before our eyes. Fresh cake donuts came from the conveyer belt and the toppings were added. We chose the combinations from the menu, but the option to customize your own donuts is available. The first bite of the warm goodness caused me to have a new obsession. The salted caramel topping was crisp and the vanilla glaze was gooey. The warm cake donut was the best I have ever had!! Luckily for my family and my wardrobe, I live on the opposite side of town. Otherwise, the calories could be deadly. So Duck Donuts will remain a special treat. read more

Biggby, who is owned by a networking friends family, and is also the supplier of coffee for our weekly One Million Cups meetings, is where you'll find a lot of us on Wednesday's around 10:30. Even as a non-coffee and pretty much non-caffeine drinker, they had a mango/blood orange drink that I can get without caffeine. I've had it on the rocks and a version that was thick and creamier. Both are good by me. Depending on how packed it is, you may or may not have to wait a few minutes for your order. But my that time I'm usually, so in-depth with my conversation that I don't notice the amount of time that passed. Another great spot for meetings!

For side dishes, we also got the meatball with polenta and some potatoes. For dessert, I got a complimentary birthday cannoli with a candle and the Limone (a berry and cream-filled dessert in the form of a lemon!) What. A. Meal!!! The food and the locale are just stunning. But of course, not cheap. As a whole, we paid a whopping $399.75 without tip! Was it worth it for a feast of glamour? I'd say so--but definitely not an every day treat unless you have the budget!
