    Donut dozen
    Lena O.

Donuts and iced caramel macchiato were great. Cashier Kaylie Z was very nice and upbeat even while I was ordering a dozen donuts of all different kinds. Only waited 5, less than 10 minutes for donuts to come out at around 10am on a summer Friday. It is nice to wait inside with a lot of their merch around and not too small and cramped.

Duck Donuts is an amazing (and fun) concept. Made to order unique, hot, fresh donuts. Going off season made for an easy experience. The staff at this location really are something special. Many cute Duck Donut gift items round out your experience! Unfortunately we found the Duck Donuts actually in Duck, closes off-season. We were so glad this one, and the one in Nags Head remained for those who visit off-season or actually live in the area.

I got a half dozen during Valentines weekend. I got chocolate explosion, coffee cake, cookies n cream, blueberry streusel, bacon in the sun, and valentines limited donut (I forgot the name). I loved the donut itself. It was fresh made to order. It came out relatively fast and the staff were nice and friendly. I came at a perfect time. There was no line and I was able to take my time picking what I wanted and was offered suggestions as well. So yummy!! I also got a bacon, egg, cheese on a donut. It was also very yummy. The iced latte and caramel macchiato was a tad too sweet. Gave me the sugar rush and I definitely crashed later in the afternoon!

I am a donut fan. More than that, I am a donut snob. I admit it. I have my ranked list of best donuts in the country... Duck is on that list - way at the top. My family loves the build your own donut approach. We love that they come out warm. We love that they taste so delicious! What we don't love is that Duck Donuts has expanded across America and not yet come to Indiana... Oh well, it make them more special when we go to OBX and get them from their birthplace. Kill Devil Hills location has great service - gave use their favorites when we came in. And the inside was clean. There was a line of people waiting for donuts and they got through quickly. Great experience - ordered two per person on this visit (could have been way more and they still would have been gone!)

We schedule a Duck Donuts day every time we are in the area. I was ecstatic to find out there is a location close to my home in Falls Church (?!) Always warm and very soft, they nearly melt in your mouth.

I DREAM about this place! These donuts are delicious and always fresh! If you come down to the OBX, you MUST try Duck donuts! Service is friendly and the ambiance is very kid friendly and you can watch them make your donut! The Maple Bacon is my favorite!!!

All the donuts are exactly the same.... the toppings and decorations make them what they are! We got the Halloween themed box and it was creative and fun! A bit pricey but hey, you're on vacation! Enjoy!

Duck, duck....donuts!! Donuts are life -- for my baby girl that is. They're quick, they're soft, they're hot, and they're tasty. I watched my gal make the donuts (all bases first, then all toppings, then all drizzles) and was impressed at her speed and memorization. They're priced as much as DD, but you're def better off here with the quality and price of coffee, donuts, And cute merch, all supporting local.

The only part about Duck Donuts that I don't like is that it's 1500 miles from my house. We went twice in a week - once and ordered in the store (tip: go off peak to avoid long lines); the other online for pick up. The donuts are cake-y and delicious and made fresh - served warm. You can make about any combo of icing flavors, toppings and drizzles you can imagine. They have some cute swag, but it's priced as souvenirs. ($$$)

Duck Donuts is the closest thing to Fractured Prune. They definitely have their own name and reputation, but nothing beats the original. They're gonna be packed any day, so I recommend pre-ordering online! My family bought two dozen of their Summer Sets and it was ready perfectly on time. They tasted great and added even more sweetness to our vacation

This is worth the hype! Delicious cake donuts, fresh and hot and the toppings are so yummy. You can pick from their selection or create your own. They're very sweet but it's a nice treat (a bit heavy but fun for an occasion). Truly a really delicious dessert spot!

First timer here! Walked in, and it smelled great. Everything was clean and organized. I was searching for the list of donut types, they are by the register. I got a half dozen of donuts. The box was warm when it was handed to me. Nice and fresh! Tasted great! I was surprised by how much I liked them. I'll definitely be back.

We created our own dozen. Delicious.

You grab one tray per group, grab beverages and order your actual entrée at the end of counter. You can hit a QR Code while in-line to view menu or look at giant board along the counter. So many choices and only so much even I can eat. The line outside is misleading as it moves fast, once you order you grab a table. There never seemed to not be a table available so no worries and no need to send someone in to hold. Helpful Hint - Use the restroom when passing in-line as getting back to it requires going back past hungry customers waiting to order. The service was unique to accommodate the busy flow. All parties grab one tray to pick their drinks and if they'd like to get anything from the grab-n-go section (granola, cereal, juice). Then, you order from the waitress in the front. She was so kind and asked everyone what they had going on for the day. We did stand in line for about 20 minutes but it went by quickly as we watched the cooks in the open kitchen. They have a relatively simple breakfast menu that can be customized to add sides or toppings. Everything is reasonably priced for the portion size. We got a berry berry waffle, which had the blueberries in the batter and strawberries on top & the chocolate monkey pancakes with bacon which had the chocolate chips in the batter and banana on top. The food was fresh made and delicious. I'd recommend coming here if you're looking for a good, hearty breakfast while in OBX with great customer service!

I woke up...and had a delicious time! The reviews here tell you how great this place is, and well...believe them! I thought for sure it would be over-hyped and not live up to what people write and say, but I will admit to being wrong. First, our server, Krickett, was agreed upon (by my partner and I) to be the best server we have ever had. She was friendly, outgoing, had good recommendations, and an all-around joy. Second, the food! Wow! My partner had a salad...simple enough, right? But no, she was amazed by it. And she is a vegetarian, so she has had a lot of salads over the years. This one blew her away. I had the grilled chicken sandwich. Was it life-changing? No. But it was way better than what a grilled chicken sandwich normally is. It was tender, juicy, with just the right seasoning. I would be a criminal if I didn't mention the bruschetta...get it with the burrata...it is worth it! The crispy bread with balsamic drizzle is good enough with the diced tomato mix, but the cheese gives it a new level. And, I hope you saved room for dessert, because the key lime pie was a mouth explosion.

The restaurant has two distinct dining areas: the front section is first-come first-served bar seating that offers the full menu. The back section, which would be ideal for families, holds about 30 tables, mostly booths, with the hostess stand. We chose to sit at the bar and had a great experience. We started with bruschetta topped with burrata cheese. I ordered the angel hair pasta in a white garlic butter, cream sauce with marinated chicken and grilled vegetables. My husband ordered the special hamburger with Swiss cheese bacon, spinach and mayo with a side of fries. We ended with slices of the key lime pie that didn't disappoint! The food, service, staff and environment were exceptional! We overheard the Server mention that veterans receive complementary meals on Veterans Day, which speaks volumes about how this restaurant supports those who have served. If you are in the Outer Banks- whether you're staying in Kill Devil Hills or nearby- this restaurant is worth the drive and all the hype!
