Wow. Do yourself a favor and go to Duck's Donuts. These donuts are so good, we turned around after taking a bite and ordered two more! These are made to order cake donuts with an incredible variety of toppings to choose from. We got the simple cinnamon sugar donuts, as well as the blueberry pancake and bacon donuts. The donuts here are one of the best. They offer a variety of different donuts and they also have some cute Halloween themed donuts as well. They offer snacks and sandwiches as well. I ordered the turkey croissant sandwich and I really enjoyed it. It was delicious and fresh. They can also add avocado to your croissant sandwich. The interior is clean and spacious and everything tastes like it is made fresh everyday. The service is fast and friendly. I usually make an order over the phone and they have it ready within minutes. I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a tasty and fulfilling breakfast or for a really fresh and tasty croissant sandwich. They also offer a variety of drinks such as Vietnamese coffee and Thai iced tea. I have not tried these yet but I am sure they are good. read more

The best mom & pop donut shop in town.... but only after midnight! For some reason they make a ton of fresh donuts after midnight and it's the best for a late night (fattening) snack! **Don't go there around 8pm expecting a good selection. I came here instead of my regular donut shop due to a friend's recommendation. Although, the donuts where terrific, service was not. The lady at the counter refused to sell me only bars with my dozen and yelled at me for insisting to her that I was the one paying for them. End of story, I ended up buying them her way because I had my 3 little ones with me and didn't want to leave empty handed as they where excited. However, I will probably not be back. Really good donuts made fresh to order. The service was fast and friendly. The donuts come out of the fryer and they put whatever ingredients you've chosen on it while it's still hot and fresh. It's placed in a perfectly sized box and handed to you. I would recommend not letting that freshness go to waste and dig in sooner rather than later. It'll be a little messy, but totally worth it. I've got mixed feelings about this place. Donuts are custom made and quite good since they are freshly made and still warm when you get them. With that said, I am quite annoyed with how the orders are fulfilled. I ordered a half-dozen donuts. The couple behind me ordered 4 donuts. They ran out of donut bread and was short 3 for my order but were able to make the donuts for the couple who ordered 4. I was told they fulfill short orders first. Following the logic, if 10 people ordered single donuts after I did, I will have to wait longer. Considering the donuts are best fresh, I would think they would serve them as soon as they can. Basically, a head-scratcher for me. Anyway, if you want to order by the box, check first if they have enough bread to make them with. Otherwise, a donut to go is worth getting from here. read more

I've been coming here for years and it is THE local neighborhood spot! Solid place for donuts and coffee in the morning on the way to work, and late night. Hell, anytime since they're open 24/7! The place is always buzzing in the morning with the local familiar faces who have been coming here for years! Many of them are neighbors who have watched my siblings and I grow up, as well as other regulars in here before heading in to work. They have everything from the obvious donuts and coffee to croissants, hot chocolate, bagels, sandwiches and muffins! Their fridges are both always stocked with water, milk(all varieties) juices, sodas and energy drinks. You won't go thirsty here! Craving something other than bottled drinks? They have tea, smoothies and Boba! The taro, mango and honeydew are my favorite here with the taro being at the top of my list. The place is a mom and pop donut shop that has been around for twenty-something years. As a matter of fact, I think it's the only store in the plaza that's been around that long from what I remember. It's truly a gem to see mom and pop stores that have been in the family this long these days. I'll be back for my croissant and coffee as usual tomorrow! :) read more

This is hard...i so love donuts and while i hesitate to play Will Rogers on my almost absolute fave confection treat...(ha! my name is Will - ok, i guess it's funny to me...) anyway, there have been some donuts i've met that i've not liked (but that don' mean they dint git et!). But i went to Phoeniz on a 13hr there-n-back trip about three weeks ago to help a buddy pick up moving lights for Knotts -whee.- and, OMG - THERE ARE NO DONUT SHOPS IN PHOENIX?!?! Whuttha...weird. No coffee shops, either...s'too hot my friend said; to which i said, if this were LA, they'd still be all over the place.) So that's what sorta prompted my latest donut urge. SO...sheesh! Duck's - ok, so...we went there after coming back from Vista (helping said friend again), and we're tired and hungry, so I said let's check this place out, i hear it's open late and it's good. Yup. 24 hrs. And Yup, best time is after midnight - BUT, for the best selection (read: he's made 'em all by this time), you're talking 1:30ish or so. I had plain cake, vanilla cake and powdered. Nice and crispy, but a bit on the greasy side for my taste. Light cake, tasty, but again - if it's leaving greasy marks on my milk glass...yikes. I'll be back (my buddy said he thought it was better than average) to give some other more basic ones a try, like the glazed, twist and x-filled, and we'll see. Wish they'd open up a donut boutique shop around here - am dying to try some of those wild donuts i've heard about in LA's best shop (reviewed here on Yelp), but...i love being lazy more than i love donuts. They have a big dining room for a donut shop which looks pretty standard for a donut shop -- white, plain, and inelegant, like a community center or nursing home. The offerings are pretty good, but not unbelievable. They have a variety of donuts -- sort of plain types, but with a few more fancy ones -- and then some of the usual additional products like muffins and bagels. They have various bottled and canned beverages, with enough selection that there's stuff like various energy drinks. The family that runs this is nice. I always get good service here, but they do have a lot of people to serve. The donuts and other items taste okay. I wouldn't spit them out or anything, but they're not on the level of the places I've been trying lately in Ventura County. They are pretty good on taste compared to most but not all of the Orange County shops. read more
