First time visiting this town and I'm driving down the road in the middle of the day and the traffic is reduced to one lane. I merge to the left but as I'm doing that I see a guy holding a sign that says, "Traffic sucks, our sandwiches don't!" Made a mental note to come back here and was glad I did. The sandwiches are so good! I'd compare it to Ike's down here in So Cal, but they're better. I went in around closing time and was able to score the Bambino on Dutch crunch bread. I've been eyeing this spot for months. Since it's close to work, and glad that I did. I ordered the tri-tip salad. This is a huge salad with tons of meat. You can pick your dressing. Also, the tri-tip is cooked every day. And you can tell. Because this salad is delicious. The meat is cut to a perfect size for the salad. The flavor of the meat is really good and seasoned well. I would say this is a must get item. Also ordered the Bamino sandwich with sliced wheat bread. So good. This is a hot sandwich. The size is huge. Guaranteed to fill you up. Or save some for later. The sandwiches were delicious, prices were very reasonable which is rare these days, love the baseball theme, the owner - and all the staff- was so nice (working behind the counter and greeting customers). We have been twice now and both times, we are welcomed and asked how are days are going. The menu has lots of variety - I always get a roast beef and cheddar on Dutch crunch. It's basically one of those sandwich shops that's similar to a Mr Pickles, just with different sandwich names and a different theme, but has the same bread options and ingredients. I got a club sandwich, on sweet bread. It was a good sandwich, but a sandwich I could have went anywhere and got. I've been to the deli on Cottage but this was my first time to the location on Arden. Omg highly highly recommend. Location moved but same delicious sandwiches. We went yesterday and those sandwiches are memorable. Upon entering you immediately see all the awesome baseball art. You're also greeted by the awesome and friendly staff. You feel very welcomed and they're very helpful to answer any questions you have. I'll be back for sure again. I ordered the Hammerin' Hank roast beef and Hubby ordered The World Series Rueben. The sandwiches are huge and you get a treat with every order also, a cookie. The flavor is there and service is very good no complaints. The owner shows he cares about his customers and definitely this deli is one of a kind. If you love a good sandwich and talk baseball this is the spot. My husband and I stopped by to try a different sandwich spot. We had to wait for Dutch crunch bread to be made which was not a problem. While we waited, the worker prepared the meat part of the sandwiches and placed them in the prep area while he waited for the bread. We saw a fly land on the meat for one sandwich and we told the worker and he moved it inside a microwave. He didn't bother throwing it away until I told him I did not want that meat. The prep area had crumbs all over the place, a few tables were dirty and there were flies coming in the open door. I saw two containers of tomatoes sitting out and the bread was stored in a basket with no cover. Another worker came in from outside and did not wash his hands before putting on gloves to help make sandwiches.
