Ambiance: it's a family style dumping place, located in a small and packed plaza, limited parking spots Service: terrible experience, it took a long time to place the order, let alone people arrived much later got their food served first, and basically no other service, self serving for utensils and water Food: simple menu items for comfort food Meat King 6pcs Pork & Beaf Mix - ** grocery frozen food quality, the skin of buns tasted sour and the mixed ground meat fillings were so dry Yukgaejang - *** Spicy Beef Leek Soup, stinky on protein and rubbery tasty Price: mediocre quality and affordable prices, about $20 per person

Great place for vegetarian options! My two friends and I came here on a Saturday around 2:30 pm and found parking in the small lot easily! It was pretty empty inside with only one other customer, very homey vibes! We ordered the Korean Icy Cold Noodles (4/5 - super refreshing but broth was sweeter than I realized it would be!), Kimchi Dumplings (4.5/5 - packed w nice pieces of kimchi and veg), and the King Veggie Dumplings (3.9/5 - not salty enough for me but better w dipping sauce and really fluffy bun!). This much food came to be about $60 w tip and the food was light but we all felt perfectly full! I would definitely come back to try more of the non-vegetarian dumplings too

Had a delivery from here today and not bad. Ordered the: Pan fried regular dumpling - Very, very good. Tasty and moist. Pork Xiao Long Bao - Yes I would order again. Order the pork, outstanding! Meat King Size Dumpling - I was expecting a BBQ Pork Bun, it wasn't. Though the meat inside was tasty, this one was a little dry with all the bun and limited sauce inside. Not sure I would order this again. Side note, the delivery girl just dropped off the order at my apartment's front desk and refused to give the desk attendant any information on my apartment, ie no apartment number or name to tell him who the order belonged to. Could have been a better delivery attempt.

I used to come here to get dumpling often, and tried most of them. Overall, they are good, the best one was king dumplings and others were okay. The customer service is so bad, specially the old guy, who seems not happy and always angry sadly.. The lady is nice all the time. The price is little bit overpriced.

I really wanted to like this place since it seemed like a small, local business, but the dumplings we got did not impress us. We got the regular pork dumplings, XLB, and the crab shumai. I thought the crab shumai was the best - it had a good flavor, but they were small and pricey. The XLB were solid, but needed more juice/flavor. The pork dumplings were the most disappointing. They were kind of hard and not super tasty. The inside of the restaurant was run down, and I had to kill a tiny bug that was crawling on the table when we first sat down. The inside of the dumpling pans were rusty, so that was also gross. Everything was around $40. We probs would have enjoyed dumplings from Ranch 99 as much as the dumplings we had here

So amazing! Came here spontaneously with friends visiting from Australia and their food is the most delicious most authentic dumplings ever. The Bulgogi dumplings were amazing as well!!! A must try! Owners were so kind and patient with us. I can't recommend this place enough!

Highly recommend for delicious dumplings of various kinds & Korean staples. My wife & I grabbed lunch here early one day while staying in k town for two nights & it was excellent, very good soup dumplings & perfectly crisp pan fried gyoza dumplings. Very clean inside & the service was excellent. Wish I had more options like this where I'm from.

This spot has saved me time and time again. Always reliable, always delicious and always filling beyond any reasonable expectation! I mostly get takeout but have some dine in before and let me tell you- it's the best secret a little corner/strip mall has ever had to offer. Be warned that they make everything to order so be prepared to wait a bit. My two items took 15 minutes. There are usually 2 people working at any given time and it can get a little busy so be prepared to wait. I rarely see the spot busy with dine-ins but don't let that fool you, it's beyond worth it! The king size dumplings are exactly that, not exaggerated and truly 'king size'! I can usually eat 2 or 3 if I reallllly try. Mine were with a mixture of pork, beef, glass noodles & veggies- these will fill you up. The pork xiaolongbao are perfectly plump and have a perfect portion of soup and meat inside. A little kick to them elevates their flavor to stand out from the king size dumplings. Though I generally order takeout, I love that it's packed with presentation in mind. The prices are amazing for a product you can taste was made with care and love. Each order comes with pickled veg (daikon?) and a yummy sauce that can be used dipping- or, as I do, for pouring directly into the dumpling itself. There can be a little bit of a challenge in understanding the employees sometimes so please be patient and kind just as they are with their customers.

The most homey, wonderful dumplings. I came here a while ago with friends after finding this place on a YouTube video. My friends and I love dumplings, and this place did not disappoint. The kimchi dumplings stood out! They were spicy with a kick, and the wrapper had just the right amount of chew. 10/10 recommend!

    Meat king

The steamed dumpling were great! I got the Meat King 6 pc and could only eat because they were so big The service was great and it is amazing nnice little restaurant.

    Sushi

This is a small wife & husband operated business. The place is super cute, has a a lot of positive vibes just because of the decor. We got in around 9pm, they close by 9:30, but were kind enough to let us dine in until 10pm. We orders the vegetable pancake and they were yum and hot, freshly prepared. We got the kimchi dumplings which were good too, also got the veggie sushi, which to my surprise was very good, the veggies were sautéed in the sushi. Pretty good experience.

I was disappointed at this place to be honest. With so many good reviews and a YouTube video from eaterLA recommending this place, I thought I would have a very nice dinner here but turned out the food is just average and expensive. Staff was very nice and friendly but I hurt that I have to say I did not enjoy the food! The flavors were just very bland. It's missing so many things (salt/meat flavor). The only thing that was okay to rat the potsticker but with the price, we could do better at another place. I'm sorry to say that I won't be returning. Maybe others may find this place good

I understand as a host, you must maximize space and seat according to size but seriously? They simply didn't want to waste a *whole table* on 2. After 25 minutes they sat us at a 6-person table in the back corner and she said, "You share this table," implying we would be a group table if another small party walked in. Then, no menu, no water, no napkins, no plates until we asked for each individually. Lo and behold, there were still at least 5 open tables an hour later, and we did not in fact need to have other parties join us... the food was definitely not worth this treatment.

For being located in the heart of Chinatown, would you expect anything less? Pro-tip: make an easy + quick sipping sauce with 1/3 soy sauce + 2/3 spiced white vinegar. You're welcome Shrimp Har gow - 8.9 / 10 One of the most traditional Cantonese dumplings. Incredibly light. If you plan to eat these later, I highly suggest steaming them as the outer skin can get dry. There's so, so much food here, but whenever I am in the area, these are my non negotiables. Seriously, it is such a life-hack to be able to do a "Panda Express" style order for more traditional Chinese / Chinese-American favorites without all the hoopla.
