We couldn't leave the island without getting something sweet from Dortoni…read more I like the variety and colors. Not a fan of the amount of cinnamon added to it but my husband loves it. Small shop with comfortable seating to enjoy your coffee with a delicious cookie. The girls were very lovely and patient because we couldn't decide what to get. Until next time

There's a lot going on amidst the reviews of Dortoni, but I want my own write up to really focus on…read morethe here and now and the bakery aspect of this place (which by the way, is quite good). My wife and I have been here a few times and found Dortoni to be delightfully delicious. Well, for the most part. On our first trip we tried a whole bunch of different baked goods (pastries, cookies, crumbs, cakes, etc.), though one thing we were excited about was their take on the Dubai chocolate sensation via the form of a cake. Unfortunately, it kind of missed the mark, but if you take that snafu aside, everything else at Dortoni is fantastic. For instance, my wife's new favorite dessert is their cheesecake waffle cone (which is exactly what it sounds like). For me, I loved the key lime bomb which was out of this world. There's just a great selection of stuff here that makes you curious as to what they'll have each time you enter. Beyond the baked goods, I will say the staff has been super friendly. Both visits they were helpful, gave suggestions, and (though it was close to closing) offered us some rolls free of charge. It doesn't take a lot to make you feel welcome and they do more than that which is nice to see. Perhaps you won't see what is nothing more than a few tables inside this small spot that you can sit at, but I wouldn't say this is a horrible turnoff. Yeah, maybe Dortoni isn't your bakery/cafe that's going to be a place you stay and enjoy your goods, but it's definitely worth some items to-go. Overall, Dortoni in Port Jeff earns a visit. There are other locations (perhaps even one closer to me) that I might have to check out, but even if I do, I'll at least know that the quality and service in PJ is top notch. I'd gladly return here in the future (and I probably will knowing my wife's new obsession) and you should too!

*January 2026 Restaurant Week*…read more My wife's bestie made plans for the (4) of us to meet for dinner. We all live close so Fifth Season Restaurant was chosen. I haven't been here in a very long time so I'm excited to see how the restaurant has stayed in business over the years. We are shown to our table upstairs. The bar area on a Friday night looks fun and active. There's great views of Port Jefferson harbor so the restaurant ambiance is nice. We're seated and are given restaurant week menus as well as the wine/cocktail list. Listen, It's Friday nite and I don't want a wine cooler! Give to me a standard Martini stirred (Shaken is just dumb) with stuffed blue cheese olives. The ladies order appletini's and we're ready to order off the restaurant week menu. The menu has a nice selection of different offerings, I'm into all things local so I'm going to start with the beet salad and Red Snapper. The beet salad was loaded with beets! I love beets, they did a good job with this started dish. I must point out, the dish must have been prepped earlier in the day. The green salad was slighty wilted when served to me. The Red Snapper, what is that sauce on top? And the fish was sitting on a bunch of zoodles?? The fish wasn't seasoned, it wasn't very flavorful. I'm eating around the zoodles, meh. The cheesecake I ordered, it was also just a standard dessert. I didn't finish the fish or my dessert. Review is over, Fifth Season Restaurant? See you in another 5 years.

The salads we felt were small for the price but were tasty. The main course was delicious and a nice portion. However the small portions continued when we moved over to dessert, which was very overpriced for what you got. The service was also kind of slow. I think they need more wait staff.

Each purchase has been $60. On the last occasion I as I have always asked for a larger cup of milk to accommodate all the coffee. The gentleman working always obliged. Today the female employee refused and said you only get a small milk with the box of joe. After spending $300 in two weeks at a Dunkin I would expect a little customer service. The extra milk would have cost maybe the owner $.15 cents. Needless to say, I will not give Dunkin any of my business and have informed all staff members that they may not get milk with their coffee due to this locations lack of customer service. My $150 a week will now move to another establishment as our stay will last another few months.

I asked her if there was oat milk in these cold brews and she replied with "yes, mocha" so I then politely said I wanted oat milk, not mocha, and there must have been a misunderstanding. I tried to be nice and say that miscommunications happen and it is ok, but she was rolling her eyes, scoffing, and gave me an attitude because she had to remake our cold brews. She looked at me and said with an attitude "well it's going to be an extra dollar if you want oat milk" almost as if she was trying to antagonize me. I said that that was fine and she muttered under her breath as she went to pour new coffees. I will not be returning because of this lady. PS donuts were stale.

They have an easy to use online system which I highly recommend because the inside of the store is a little chaotic. Even when you order online, you have to push your way to the front and get someone's attention for your order, because the pickup window for online and phone orders is the same as pickup for in store orders. Don't love the slightly high stress pickup process, but the sandwiches are totally worth it. Service is friendly enough, and they have a ton of lunch options in addition to bagels. GREAT bagels!

The kind of place you just don't find anywhere else, especially not back home in Virginia Beach. The inviting feel when you walk in, the regulars chatting up the staff, the air filled with the wonderful smells of fresh bacon, baked bagels, and savory spices. For my order, I went with a classic sesame bagel with cream cheese. It was absolutely fantastic. Soft on the inside, perfectly chewy, and the cream cheese was delicious. My dad was craving something a little different, so he got a BLT with chipotle mayo and avocado on toast. He raved about it the entire meal, saying it was one of the best BLTs he's ever had. It came with macaroni salad and a pickle (which I obviously stole from him). Even though this was my first time at Bagel Express, since I'm not local to Setauket, the whole experience was great. The quality, service, and authentic deli experience are definitely worth a stop. I'm already looking forward to coming back the next time I'm in town. If you're anywhere near East Setauket or just passing through, don't miss out on this spot!
