This is absolutely hands down without a doubt the worst Dunkin' Donuts anywhere. If you don't order your food at least 15-20 minutes ahead of time you will be standing around waiting, then if you are lucky enough to get your order before your hair turns grey, you better check it because it's never right (like, for example, two times ago i ordered a bacon egg and cheese on a plain bagel, got my order and headed out, and they put it on a English muffin, not toasted, went back to ask why they did that, and they said "oh, we don't have any bagels today" so instead of telling me that and offering me a refund or something else, they just did what they wanted and thought it was okay, but i guess what am i supposed to expect from a bunch of zombied out purple and green haired teenagers moving at a snails pace???). Everytime i break down and try this place again (because it's the closest Dunkin' Donuts to me) i ALWAYS question why i did that again, as they continue to just get worse and worse. This place should be shut down if they can't get anything right, ever, and make you wait on top of that for your incorrect order. Zero stars! read more

Ordered a bagel, toasted with butter. The bagel I got was so saturated in butter that it was like a wet dripping sponge. Almost completely inedible. These guys ruin Dunkin's good Vermont name. Ugh. I was so looking forward to my bagel. read more

Let me start this review off with some insight into how I am feeling this morning. I woke up with my mouth feeling like I ate an entire wool sweater. My brain has shrunk (grammar help plz?) so much that even the double ds can't make it expand again. Now. I figured the double ds could, so I decided to drive all the way to my favorite dunkin in Essex, Vermont. For some unknown reason I ordered a large hut tea and a plain bagel. That one's on me. I was handed my bag of treats and told to "have a nice day" before I was even given my tea! What kind of maniac tells a gal to have a nice day before they are given all of their order? I screamed at her "no wait, I got a hut.." before she cut me off and handed me my tea. Completely threw me off. Now onto my actual treat. My bagel was supposed to be toasted with a slice of cream cheese on the side. At first glance they got my order perfect. When I got home, to my horror, the bagel was lightly toasted (see attached pic). I figured hey, a bagels a bagel, so I chomped right into it and to no surprise it tasted like a dry sponge. Really nice, efficient staff.they don't always have the best selections at all times, but the kindness makes up for it. They rarely have my favorite, French crueller, but they did today, so I ordered one. "Just one?" She asked. I say yes, but that I'll probably regret not ordering two after I finish my one. I paid my dollar and change. So I get to the car, and you know what? She put two in the bag. :) read more

So after talking to a fellow Yelper about this location I wanted to try it out again. Granted I have not been here in a long time! Over a year. So here we go! The location is good. Located on Pearl Street in Essex Jct. It makes for an easy stop in the mornings! The service was great. I had gone on a Sunday morning craving a mint hot chocolate! So I got just that. The people behind the counter had a smile and more than willing to help me out. So they seem to enjoy their job. Something you don't every day. The mint hot chocolate was made quickly and came out...Well hot! Like it should. It was a bit on the sugary side for me. Then again I am comparing it to something like Champlain Chocolates where its made with real chocolate. Not a sugar down mix. (Even though chocolate is sugar right?! Well of the natural kind anyways! It just taste different to me.) So in the end you will want a sweet tooth to drink it. The plus side is a medium will only run you for $2.57! Its a fair price. About half he price of other many locations. So very fair! So DD does as it says it well! Plus hot chocolate isn't its main purpose anyways, Its the donuts! And I do love their donuts. Im just not always in the mood for one. But when I am this is a great stop for one! Good customer service and fair prices. If you want a donut then stop here! A-OK 3/5! Haven't been to this location yet so i thought i would give it a try. I like the small intimate size of this DD. I had an onion bagel with sausage, egg, and cheese it was OK. I'm not a fan of the unmelted cheese on the top, cold cheese on a hot sandwich isn't very appetizing. The staff was friendly and the cashier I had recommended the "warm rosemary hash browns and a hot cocoa for this cold morning" (Good job on the upsell). The 4 star is just because of the cheese issue. read more

A LOT of changes have occurred at this location over the past year. The staff has changed a LOT and they added a drive-through. The drive through is awesome - TRULY a convenience when I'm in a time crunch. I do feel the vibe here is far less friendly then it used to be. It's hectic, busy, and they run like a well-oiled machine (so it seems) but it's as though they forget to smile and ask how you are. It's a little thing but it makes a huge difference to feeling like your business is welcomed. read more

Less than one star. By far the worst (consistently) all around DD I have ever been to. Will not be going back.

Past three times I've gone through here the coffee has this horrendous sour taste, giving me another doesn't do anything since it's all from the same brew. Dunno if somebody isn't cleaning the cleaning fluid out of the machines or not brewing right or what but I never used to have this problem here. Waste of money for coffee you can't drink. read more

They used to have decent staff at this location, but there is now a manager that is rude to customers. She always acts like she hates her job and talks rudely to people. I lightly tapped on the window one day because I noticed they were pouring regular coffee instead of the decaf I ordered. I was only trying to stop them from waist if their coffee. Instead the manager yelled at me telling me to never knock again and that I am being aggressive. I was in shock and almost laughed about it all. I tried to explain but couldn't get a word in. Another incident was when I was with my husband and I was the passenger. I easily ordered my coffee and they repeated it back correctly. When we pulled up to the window, it was the wrong size and not decaf. The manager came over and yelled at us, telling me it's my fault for ordering from the passenger seat. I now refuse to go to this location and drive an extra 5 minutes each day to another one. She is a mean shorter lady with glasses. read more

Staff is very nice and I've never had an issue with that. Don't like the fact that they don't have chocolate chip muffins at this location anymore when they have them down the road in Essex a little further. But alas, #firstworldproblems. I am a regular at the drive thru and over the last several months this location has become the slowest location around. While it appears they are trying, the early morning run for me takes at least 15 to 20 minutes, when I don't drive away, to get my order. Regularly, I see someone who looks like an upper manager arguing or at least talking forcefully with the staff. Once, one of the employees working the window indicated that he was slow because his boss was "riding" him. The orders are decent but also over the past few months there has been a decline in the bagels. Very little cream cheese and it doesn't appear that they are using the same amount as before. This isn't just a one time occurrence but is very noticeable if you have been a long time customer. I wish this location wasn't my only option on the way to work. I only stop by maybe once or twice every two weeks when my visits used to be much more frequent. Nice staff but they really need some help. read more

Sorry to say but after the remodel I have not been impressed. The food is ok, I you get what you order. My girlfriend always orders a wake-up wrap with no meat, but they always add meat to it. I also have not had a good cup of coffee, they're always bitter like they don't add enough cream or sugar for the size of the drink. I would recommend going to the one near the Essex fair grounds over this location. read more
