There's finally a Dunkin' donut in the East Bay! The location is a bit off the grid but whatever, it is finally here. I've been here a few times already and each time I ordered through the app just to avoid any long lines or wait. Every time I arrived my order is sitting there waiting for me. They always deliver on a timely manner and the service is very consistent. A couple times I ordered a donut with my coffee and it was left out the mobile order area but I just had to tell them and they went and got it right away. I haven't had a bad experience here yet and fingers crossed I won't in the future. The donuts are delicious and I love the variety of donuts. Sometimes the coffee can be on the lighter side but most the time I'm here mainly for the donuts. The shop is strangely tucked in the corner of this strip plaza along with a row of housing right around the corner. However, they do have a decent size parking lot and I've never had any issues finding parking there. read more

I would not recommend coming to this particular Dunkin' location. I ordered from one of the kiosks. Requested an iced coffee that was supposed to have foam and there was no foam when I got it. Also requested 3 donuts, two Boston Kreme and 1 Bavarian and they didn't have any of those. It's okay if they didn't have those kinds but the kiosk or the employees should at least say they don't have any of them. On top of it, it's like they completely forgot I ordered 3 donuts and I waited for about 10 or so minutes while sipping on my foamless iced coffee. I decided to remind one of the employees about the 3 donuts I ordered and he failed to mention they didn't have any of the ones I requested. I'm okay getting substitute donuts but he did not have any good communication skills. Only two employees working and it's a mess. This location has gone downhill thanks to new staff/management. I ordered a Sourdough Breakfast sandwich with an extra egg and extra sausage. I asked the cook to confirm if it had extra egg and he said, "YES." I took his word. I then waited for my coffee drinks. One drink was decaf but they started preparing caffeinated espresso. I said to the worker, "that's decaf, right?" He looks at the label, laughs like a little school girl and says, "oops!" He then made the decade espresso. I asked, they syrup was added, "right?" He says, "YES." I got my drinks and go to my car but something told me to check the sandwich. Sure enough, the extra sausage wasn't there. So I went back, asked the guy why he lied and he did the "no speak English" dance. The manager made up some excuse for him as well. I got the sandwich and found out by my relative that the bread wasn't toasted. I also found out, no sweetener was added to the drink. I was so excited when I saw that there was a Dunkin' in Hayward only a little over a mile from me. I'm not the biggest donut fan, but I've always wanted to try their different drink options. Since it was my son's birthday and he loves donuts and spiders, and I found that DD had spider donuts for Halloween, I placed my order. I'm all about convenience and expediency. Usually when I place mobile orders, I give it some time and then hope that when I arrive, my order is ready. This was a Tuesday morning during COVID, so everyone kept their distance. The screen above shows when your order is ready, so I didn't see my name and couldn't pull up my order on the app due to lack of service. It was packed and everyone seemed to be waiting a long time, so I was very patient when my order wasn't ready. It's true what previous Yelpers mentioned about having to wait a while for an order. I had to tell the lady preparing orders that I ordered donuts since only my coffee came out. It was only then that she begun to put my order in bags. It was busy, so I get it, but they're not making donuts on the spot. I was disappointed when she just threw all the donuts together in a bag and not a box when it is a specialty donut that had a design on it. By the time I got to the donut, the eye on the spider was ruined. It's ok, we made the best of it. Sorry for the long review. Its Dunkin' I've had fairly spotty experience with this location, but fairly par for the course. My biggest complaint is what they keep in stock, I'm severely partial to the Chocolate Cream and Vanilla Cream doughnuts and have a tough time getting them at this location. The chocolate cream isn't even listed on their Doordash. Otherwise, its good, coffee service is on point and quick. The staff there is as friendly as you would expect... I'll certainly keep going back out of convenience, but every time I put in an order I basically expect something I ask for to be out of stock... read more

2022 August 8/4 Update. My husband and I decided to order Dunkin for breakfast through Grubhub. I specifically asked for the Croissant with bacon, no egg and my husband ordered a coffee for himself plus a bagel and 2 glazed donuts. The sandwiches had egg in them, I am not sure where the communication error happened but I had to pick them off. Also on the Iced Coffee, no straw was included. One other thing on the sandwiches is upon unwrapping them, there was partial strips of bacon that were outside the sandwich bun. I think the assembly of them could have been a little bit better. Hopefully this was a one time thing and they can improve but its not the same experience as we had when first visiting this store open up. This is the only close Dunkin in the Triangle area and I would hate to see the business lose customers and close due to poor order execution. read more

This store should close! Today I made a mobile order for an iced pumpkin chai and I pumpkin doughnut. I arrived and the screen said my order was ready but it was not. I saw a bunch of order tickets on the desk so I waited. After about 15 mins my name disappeared off the screen. I asked about my order only to be told there was nothing left but decaf coffee. The staff person also asked me why should they work during a holiday. I asked for a refund and my doughnut. I was very upset this has happened a few other times. Now I get home and in my bag is an apple doughnut not a pumpkin doughnut. This is a shame...Dunkin has a pretty good product but I won't visit this Jackson Street store again..they need to make a lot of adjustments. read more

3 stars for my overall FIRST time experience at Dunkin Donuts. You heard me right, never been to Dunkin's before and with this experience...I am on the fence of coming back. I might try it again, maybe the employee was having a bad morning. Came here to get the famous Munchkins and their signature donuts and coffee. Order: -125 Munchkins Variety pack: Chocolate, Glazed, Blueberry and powdered sugar. -4 donuts: 1 Strawberry sprinkle, 2 Chocolate frosted cream filled donuts and 1 Apple Fritter. -1 Large Iced Macchiato -1 Large Signature Ice Caramel Crush Latte Apple Fritter, was not fresh...felt a little stall and doughy. My fave was the Blueberry and glazed munchkins. The Signature Caramel Latte is lacking the caramel and coffee flavor and from how the macchiato looked, more than half the cup was milk. Overall, I like the variety of Munchkin donut holes. I would like more coffee rather than milk and of course less attitude. read more

First of all, I've been watching and waiting since construction started for this place to open and I'm so happy I've been able to finally visit this wonderful happy place. The workers were super friendly and patient with me. It was my first time and there was so many items to look at on the boards!!! So many coffee drink options (YES) Breakfast sandwiches (YES) I had the sweet black pepper bacon. The bacon is super savory sweet!!!!! If you like candy bacon. It's exactly that . Hayward has the most donut shops I've ever seen in a single city. Within a 2 mile radius from Dunkin', there are at least 5 donuts shops. Haywardians do love them some donuts!! I already dream about donuts and having this one pop open really doesn't help with the donut ring I'm forming around my waist! So long diet, hello donut! My fav is the original glaze donut. The apple fritter is pretty good but it's not a gianormous as the ones served at World Fare. NOTES: Parking in the back next to the dialysis center. Strange location, very bad feng shui. A Dunkin' Donuts in Hayward? Great location as it's right off the main thoroughfare towards Highway 92 and I-880 so one can stop to get some donuts and a coffee....while sitting in traffic. This is my 2nd visit to any DD (first time in Walnut Creek) and unfortunately, can't say they're my fave...of course, I have friends who rave about them! Not sure if it's another East Coast vs West Coast thang but I like what I like so it's just preference :) When it comes to donuts I'm pretty simple and prefer the yeast donut over a cake one: GLAZED, MAPLE (with bacon if there is one!), FILLED (creme or custard) and/or a FRITTER..oh my! DD does a decent vanilla creme filled one but for me, overly sweet...reminds me of the filling in a Twinkie or a Ho Ho. lol hmmm... Place has been open for about 3 weeks: clean, modern and bright...staff super friendly, energetic and welcoming...must be that infamous coffee at 630am! Brandon and a sweet woman (sorry, didn't get her name) packed up my dozen, mentioned getting some "munchkins" aka donut holes (special: dozen for $2), got my coffee and off I went! This was my first time trying Dunkin', and it wasn't really a slam dunk. I've noticed many people who enjoy this place, but I'm not sure why it gets a lot of attention. Dunkin' sells coffees (hot and iced), breakfast sandwiches (bagels and croissants), and DUH donuts! 1. Wasn't a huge fan of the donuts, I was actually really disappointed. First, because they're more pricier than usual. They sold me 10 donut holes for $2+, when I can get a dozen of donut holes for a buck elsewhere. Second, they just didn't taste that great to me. It tasted bland. Maybe my sweet tooth craves more sugar(?) And I know some people don't enjoy it to be too sweet, but.. Yeah. Not me! I love sugar! 2. The coffee wasn't that great to me either. I got a mocha... Again, it tasted bland. I've had Philz and Peets coffee so those places definitely hold the standard up for me. (And of course, my own homemade coffee) 3. The croissant sandwich was pretty good. I thought their deals on their sandwiches are pretty worth it! But yeah, sorry Dunkin' but I thought this place was too overhyped for me. For years I always saw the TV commercials for Dunkin and there was never one nearby! So was excited to see one open in my town. Made the drive over this evening when I saw the sign now in here in Hayward. Parking lot is small but there's street parking. Good location heading to 880 or 580. Store was clean and employee was friendly. Since its late not much variety so we settled for some donut holes and a chocolate bar. After we paid different fresh donuts came out dang it lol. I still don't understand the pricing for donut holes. 10 for $2 or 25 for $7.99. It makes sense to just buy 10 separately. So we opt for powdered, jelly, and chocolate. $4 for 20 donut holes isn't bad. $1.39 for a chocolate bar. So now the taste test! The chocolate bar was actually pretty good. Soft and not super airy or dense. The texture was perfect and the chocolate was not super sweet. It wasn't oily or greasy at all. Maybe I just got a good batch! The donut holes are more dense like cake donuts but these were on point tonight. Soft and yummy balls to pop in your mouth on the go! I personally don't like super sweet and crazy decorated donuts. I've had Dunkins at another location and didnt like it but the Hayward location was lit! I can't wait to go back for the ice coffees! Is it bad if I visit twice within 24 hours? I went here because I heard Starbucks was partnering with the RNC and a friend said dunkins coffee is way better than theirs. They were right! They even have an app! I had the cheddar bacon eggbites and a tall hot coffee with oatmilk and splenda and it was perfect! I even got a free donut as I was there close to closing and the manager Jermaine was amazing! The ambience was great very clean and service was quick they even have a self serve ordering kiosk! I will definitely be back just wish they were open later. Thats the only minus star. read more

It's hard to properly review, because I've had mixed experiences with this Dunkin' as far as service and selection goes. A simple acknowledgment of a waiting customer goes a long way. But sometimes it just hits the spot. I hope they succeed! We'll keep coming back. If the service gets more consistently good, I'll bump it up. read more

So I was so excited to find out that there was Dunkin in Hayward CA, which I find out accidentally via flyer in my mail. This Dunkin place was about 2 miles from my place. It use to be Auto Zone. I order via app on my phone I arrive there around 5:40pm and closing time is 6pm. When I arrive the cashier was speaking to one customer I stand on the line which the sign says pick up. After the cashier a young black guy was done with the other customer he seen me but did not pay attention. Then another customer comes in asking questions cashier pays attention to the incoming customer. But then the customer asking questions leaves so I was the only person waiting. Cashier didn't pay attention or offer assistance. Another person in the counter went out to assist me. It looks like a young Indian guy? very nice and helpful. He told me there out of varieties so he will give me what ever is left. Honestly speaking everything I got was to sweet and the doughnut was very soft like a cake. All my excitement was turn into disappointment. Perhaps I might give it a chance during the early hours. Maybe it will be different. read more

I tried to speak with manager after I was given a old bakery item and of course she backed up her staff but definitely be careful this is a franchise that does not utilize the Dunkin system correctly. These places need to Make stuff Correctly! If you Make a Glaze Make it smooth not like Sanding my teeth because you didn't cook the sugar long enough. Filling a doughnut with enough so you get Filling end to end not just a Teaspoon in a Maple Bar or Jelly Doughnut. About 10 minutes after posting my review this lady named Tina (representative of Dunkin Donuts) contacted me about my experience and immediately asked me to come back and enjoy half a dozen donuts and free beverage on them! WHO THE HELL DOES THAT!? This bad ass lady, thats who does!! I was gonna go back anyway, but now this just COMPLETELY restores my faith in businesses and how they care about the experiences they're patrons are having. I used to love coming here but something has changed! The last couple of years there was a consistent group of younger people working who provided amazing customer service and did a great job on the food and drinks. I no longer see any of those workers and the food and drinks have gone downhill. Today my iced coffee had melted ice in it (how?) and was so pale in color it was no surprise I couldn't taste any coffee in it... just watered down creamer. Truly disappointing.
