    Flys on donut

Came for a coffee and a donut. When I looked at the donut shelf, I noticed a bunch of maggots swarming around the donuts. Honestly pretty disgusting because you never know where those fly's have been. It could be avoided if they had a way to close the shelf

I should have posted this two months ago, but I want to finally acknowledge and thank London who works at this location for her excellent customer service. I came in one morning needing like 7 dozen donuts and 5 or 6 boxes of coffee and London went above and beyond to make it happen. Instead of treating me with annoyance for the last minute order, she assured me that she could get it done. I was beyond impressed and the teachers and staff at our school were so grateful. Thank you, London. You rock!

She smooshed it a little. And it tasted a little hard and dry. No good !! :(

I've been wanting to try their iced coffee just to switch it up from Starbucks. I downloaded the app and it offered me a free drink, so why not! I'm used to a drive thru but this location does not have one. Walked inside, and they were fully staffed. Around 4-5 people but I was the only one inside. I ordered a large iced mocha latte and one chocolate sprinkled donut. It cost over $1 for 1 donut which I think is a little over priced but the service was quick, fast, and efficient. Not very friendly but straight to the point type of service. There is a small language barrier but all in all just a nice simple regular coffee shop. The coffee itself tastes pretty good as long as you mix up the chocolate syrup on the bottom. If not, be prepared for rush of chocolate sweetness in your mouth with the first sip! Location is easy to enter but only one way to exit which is turning right, it has its own parking lot but minimal space so if it's filled up, you don't really have anywhere else to park and it's hard to turn around as well.

I hadn't tried DD before, but when they bribed me by mailing a punch card good for 6 Mondays of free iced tea or coffee, I stopped in. Nice little store, friendly service. The dark roast was robust with a little bite, exactly what I would have expected. I'll be using the rest of the punches and we'll see after that, as the location closest to me has its entrance right in a very busy T intersection. Oh, and there's a Baskin-Robbins as part of the store. Fond memories since I worked part time in one as a teenager. Yeah, B-R has been around that long :-)

Slow service inside and big line outside but always clean and bright. They really need to be more organized or have more people on shift for a 9am Monday

I always get an iced coffee. Went last week and cashier at window did not have gloves or mask on. She should have been wearing protection.

The Black female ownership, the management, and the staff at Love Life Cafe, a snug coffee house nestled at 929 Washington Blvd in Laurel, Maryland, are fully aware how being seen is intertwined with social justice, kindness, and customer service. Black artists' drawings and paintings, some of which are for sale, adorn the walls, including "Wakanda Forever," featuring Chadwick Boseman, whom the world heartbreakingly lost too soon to cancer; "Say Their Names: Black Lives Matter," featuring Sandra Bland; whom her communities bitterly lost to police brutality; and, in a hope-filled change of pace, "Looking Up at Greatness," depicting two-year-old Parker Curry's recognition and wonder at seeing Amy Sherald's portrait of Michelle Obama at the National Portrait Gallery in March of 2018. So far, my wife has enjoyed a life-sized latte with extra hot cardamom oat milk; a life-sized cafe au Lait with the same; an açaí bowl, minus the honey and adding kiwi, pineapple, and mango; and a life-sized Hollaback Girl latte. Meanwhile, I was thrilled to devour a banana, cinnamon, and vanilla frappe appropriately dubbed "Monkey Business."

The decor was very nice, quaint, and beautifully Afrocentric, which I loved. I started with the waffle, turkey bacon, and eggs; . I also tried the crepe version of the bacon, egg, and cheese, which was really good. For something sweet, I went with the s'mores crepe and it did not disappoint. The hot chocolate was also a hit--very rich and comforting. What made the experience even better is that this is a small, newly opened woman & black-owned business, only about 4 months in, and they're already doing things right. Overall, a solid brunch spot with great vibes, good food, and excellent service. Definitely worth checking out and supporting.

There was also a beautiful mural. In terms of food, I was really excited to try both the sweet and savory crepes. There was one couple ahead of us who walked in at the same time as us, so while their order was being made, we perused the menu. There was only one employee at the shop making the crepes so their order took awhile (they waited at least 15 minutes for two crepes). We finally got to put our order in and the employee said it'll be 15 mins for what we ordered (chicken & shrooms crepe, shrimply the best crepe, and s'mores crepe). Each crepe is moderately priced but I was pleasantly surprised at how big the crepes were. However, while we were waiting for ours to be made, the couple who got their order ahead of ours came back saying there was a foreign object in their crepe and they wanted a refund because they had no time to wait for a new one to be made. The employee seemed to not be sure how to refund the order and had to make a call which made our wait even longer. It also made me a little nervous for what I'd find in my crepe - but our crepes seemed okay. The employee also forgot to make our s'mores crepe so there was more of a wait for that, but we dined in so it wasn't a huge deal. The service overall could be improved with better staff training and just more staff in general to handle orders even on what they might think is a slow day. We eventually got our crepes and the shrimp crepe was delicious and had a little spicy kick to it which i loved. It also had a little salad in there so half the crepe was cold which I didn't love but could deal with. The chicken & mushroom crepe was also fantastic and had even more flavor and a kick to it. The s'mores crepe was also a perfect sweet finisher to the meal. All things considered, I'd come back once in a blue moon, but once they add more staff and have a more efficient process, I'd come back more often for those delicious crepes.
