Clint was absolutely AMAZING!!!! We decided to repaint our entire house and had no idea where to start with colors. Because of the pandemic, we were unable to meet with Clint I person, but we set up a zoom call and walked him around our entire home. We spent some time talking about our style, colors we liked and colors we didn't. We knew we wanted a main color throughout the majority of the house to create a nice flow and then use accent colors in some areas to create "pop". We also wanted to use colors to separate spaces... work from living, media room, office, etc. Clint heard everything we said and created a pallet for us to work from. He also offered some alternate options for some of the spaces that allowed us to go more or less bold. He was spot on. Clint took a very daunting, overwhelming project and made it easy. We have transformed our home and love the space we are living in. Thank you, Clint. And, thank you Dunn Edwards. We could not have done it without you. read more

I like their paint, they have good colors and when I use it, it goes on well and lasts and lasts. It's just that this store really takes a long time. Everytime I go in, it feels at least 30 minutes to get what I want. read more

Walked in to store for first time with paint cans in hand. Maybe 3 or 4 customers milling about the store. There were 4 or 5 workers around the counter plus others around the store. Not one employee looked up to say hi or any eye contact whatsoever. I wanted my Dunn-Edwards paint cans shaken up to mix them for a small project and was told no but given stir sticks at no charge. Made a decision to go elsewhere but on the way out the door I saw some supplies I needed for my project so I went back to the counter to buy the item. Same people again gave me no greeting. I bit a hole in my tung and left with my purchase. I think I will stick to Home Depot and Lowes. read more

Customer service needs improvement. No acknowledgement when you walk in, waited for at least 10 minutes, nothing. I've been to this location several time due to the colors being in the association pallet, every time bad customer service. Now color matching at Sherwin Williams, customer service there is excellent. read more

Susanna in the Lake Forest/ Irvine store is the rudest person I have ever interacted with. They closed at 5 pm and literally at 502 pm she walked up to me and my wife and turned off the light to the paint chip display and said, "We are closed and I'm going to have to ask you to leave the store." My painter uses Dunn Edwards normally, however I will use another brand. Susanna is the reason for my choice to not use Dunn Edwards. She even had the nerve to say "We open at 6 am tomorrow." We wanted to paint the entire interior of our home and were having difficulty in making a choice will all the options. Corey, the color advisor was extremely helpful not only at the store, but also via email doing multiple digital color renderings. Came in here to get paint and Subhi was able to help me get exactly what I needed. The store was SUPER busy but you can see he runs around to make things happen for everyone. He got my paint matched, made and I was on my way. Couldn't be happier with his service and definitely recommend this store. It is probably the busiest Dunn Edwards in the local area but Subhi does a good job of taking care of you. We will be back the next time we need more paint. read more

How unfortunate that I had to give even one star to This establishment to make everyone aware of the unbelievable DISRESPECT and lack of customer service at this Dunn Edwards location, primarily from the dismissive, I couldn't give two shits about your time assistant manager, Subhi Saeid. After being in their store for almost 2 hours to get paint samples.( for REAL!) I was a little pissed at the time it was taking...initially we waited in their lobby for over 30 minutes to get our order placed...we entered and took a number and waited and waited and waited...politely.i watched the lobby empty without being addressed..confused..and when new people at the desk offered to Assist them.. I got up and asked if they were honoring the number system...apparently not ..errrrr. He took my order for 3 samples. I proceeded to wait for almost an HOUR. The lobby filled and emptied a few times(yeah For them). We asked for the manager , curious as to Why our order wasn't ready...he took our receipt and over his shoulder said the paint was a custom mix and it takes and hour, everyone knows that and there is a sign at the desk. Ummmm, everyone? Ok now I am Heated. He makes another comment About the time we ordered the paint and I...Am...pissed. WTF? We waited another 15 or so minutes so I took a jaunt to the front desk..yep, NO SIGN re:custom paint .when I mentioned it to The clerk who rang us up, he walked across the desk To the opposite register to a display stand that flyers Were in . indeed there wAs a flyer claiming custom paint takes more time, but what would make you pick that flyer? Don't know? That information was nearly tucked below visibility. It would have been nice to have been Told. So ...all in all, a simple, sorry for the inconvenience or monumental waste of Time would have went a long way...but thAt is not what Subhi Saeid was interested in. When I asked to speak to him,cuz you know, he didn't offer us an apology Or bring the product to us...no he let us wait in the lobby probably hoping We would leave. My aim was to let him understand how better communication would have changed our experience. What we got was, can't you see how busy we are? (SURE! I have watched you clear you lobby 3 times) bottom line he was dismissive, arrogant , clearly his Time is WWWAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYY more Important than Yours will Ever be. So defensive, even in my earnest most namaste way of trying To share this experience so It doesn't have to happen again, sadly I Know if will... GO TO HOME DEPOT!!!! read more

I normally wouldn't leave a negative review for ANYTHING, as I always like to think "everyone has things going on in their life, best not to judge", but my experience was absolutely EMBARRASSING and rude at this location. I am young (28 years old) and a female, and know nothing about paint. I came in to get white paint color sample swatches to compare to my kitchen cabinets, as the contractor told me to go to this location and pick out the white I want, but I didn't know where to start. I walked up to the counter where I talked to a man (long hair, in his 50's, Asian (sorry for the racial description but I did not get his name)) about getting these paint color samples and where to start. I asked "where do I find the white color samples?" he then proceeded to say "we only have 1 white." Confused, I said, "My contractor told me to come in and pick out of your whites...you only have 1?" Then waved a piece of printer paper in my face rapidly and said "WHITE!..WHITE IS WHITE!" I was seriously so confused as to why he was being so rude, but I said "I thought there were hundreds of white paint?" He then said "NO! There are MILLIONS!" and proceeded to laugh at me while saying this. I was SHOCKED. This completely contradicted what he said about them only having 1 white color of paint? I was so embarrassed and frustrated at this point that I said, "You are not helping me so I am going to wait for someone over here" because I was so upset. A young girl with long blonde hair, about 5'3-5'4, then walked over to me and was EXTREMELY kind and showed me where the different paint color swatches were and told me what is the most popular white for kitchen cabinets, and gave me 3 color samples to take home. She was very kind and very helpful, probably felt bad for me for how that man treated me. I was MORTIFIED that this man embarrassed me and laughed at me in front of the entire store. He should NOT be working there if this is how he treats customers. I wish I got the young girl's name because she was very kind and helped me after that. If you go to this store--stay away from the man described above, he will make fun of you and treat you horribly, especially if you are uneducated regarding paint colors. read more

I wish I could write a positive review. But every time I go into this D.E. No one acknowledges that I'm even at the counter. They could say "hi I'll be right with you". But no, I have to ask "can someone help me?" Barely look at me. I'm a designer, I've done a color palettes for associations through Dunn Edwards and the individuals on these projects were fine. But going to the counter is not good and I send clients there. I don't think I will being doing that anymore. read more

This review is solely for their customer service. I came in to buy a gallon of paint and pulled a number then proceeded to wait in a short line. My number came up and Anthony called me over to the counter. In case there are two Anthonys working there, he was the one with long hair in a bun and skinny jeans. He was less than enthusiastic to be at work it appeared and yawned several times as he helped me. He was not very knowledgeable and wasn't able to answer many questions without asking others. He asked for my account card and I told him I had to walk out to my car and grab it real quick. When I returned 20 seconds later Anthony was helping the customer who was in line behind me, so I had to wait in line again. Luckily Jae was next to help me. He was much nicer and knowledgeable. read more

I would give them 10 STARS if I could. I went to Irvine store today because I had such a bad experience at Rancho Santa Margarita store. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by Veronica. She went over variety of colors and took her time in showing me options. I didn't know that these types of services were available. As at Rancho store, I was initially ignored so I had to approach a staff. By the way, I was not consulted by any staff at Rancho. Veronica was sooooooo kind and very professional. Genesis at the register was also very friendly. A staff carried out my paints to my car and he was so kind and friendly too. The staff at the Irvine store seem to be happy, friendly, and very professional. I will always come back to Irvine store as I really appreciated genuine kindness and the customer service. read more

We recently started shopping at Dunn Edwards Irvine since we bought a house. We have spent thousands on paint and every time we go in there they are courteous, friendly, and helpful. Special recognition to Rob S, Richard, the manager Kham. They have helped us with all our questions, and concerns as we had never painted before. Sometimes it is busy, but that is normal if you go on a Saturday, so we try to go on off hours. 5 stars to the team at Irvine Dunn Edwards. I've bought paint from both Dunn Edwards and Vista for years. But recently I had a wonderful experience at Dunn Edwards on Lake Forest Dr in Laguna Hills. My wife and I were trying to decide on the exact paint color for a remodeled bathroom. I didn't realize that D-E had consultants to help you. We had tried four colors already - lots of paint patches on the wall. Carolina helped us zero in on the perfect color - she was so knowledgeable and helpful - and it was her first day! The color turned out to be perfect. Carolina also suggested we get several 12 inch sample boards instead of painting the wall. These are so cool. You paint them and then can put on the wall, move around (slightly adhesive on the back). I'll use them again when I paint another room. Thanks Carolina. read more

I came to pick up a gallon for a client that she choose from here, payed and came back for it, when I came back to pick it up, I ask a questions to a sale associate, don't know the name his Asian and with a male bun, he didn't answer me he let me stood there without answering, he was to busy writing numbers, will not come back again, even if they the clients get paint from this place. read more

We struggled finding the perfect coastal blue paint for our new home. Jesse, customer service manager, listened to my challenges of trying about 6 or more different colors and couldn't find the right blue. After trying to show and explain the perfect color we were looking for, he offered to try and create the color we were describing. He nailed it! It was perfect. So then we had the same problem with gray. We must have tried 50 different shades (kidding more like 10) and couldn't capture the right one. So, I came in today and he nailed it again! I knew with his background in mixing colors and knowledge with how the different hues are affected by lighting etc. that he could figure out what shade we are looking for. Terrible place. You would think going to a paint supplier store they would have this on lock. I have been waiting now for 45 min. For one gallon of there paint. No crazy paint or anything like that. Straight Dunn Edwards paint. About 20 employees. All standing around. While some are in the back yelling and laughing. Sounds like a party back there. Nobody else even in here as far as customers go. I just don't understand. If I didn't have to get the exact matching Dunn Edwards paint I would not be here. Ganahl or Home Depot mixes and matches paint In less then 10 minutes. I went in the store to check out paint color schemes approved by my homeowners association. Corey was very professional and friendly, swiftly found the color schemes approved for my house floor plan. I provided him a photo of my house front view. He was able to use a software to photo-editing my house with the new paint color schemes, emailed to me within 24 hours as promised.
