Wow! I cannot say enough good things about Action Appliance Repair and the technician Mark. My…read moreFrench door refrigerator with interior water dispenser and ice maker decided to stop dispensing water and was no longer making ice, but the more problematic issues were the lack of maintaining the programmed set refrigerator and freezer temperatures. Of course my concerns were risks of water lines, electronic, or compressor failures. Setting an appointment by phone with Lisa was super easy. When Mark arrived, he was prepared to do a full evaluation of the refrigerator. I was prepared to hear the news that I needed a new refrigerator or that any repair costs would be almost as expensive. Well, let me tell you that Mark suggested only a minor adjustment to one of the internal refrigerator components, then giving that a few days of my monitoring the internal temperatures to see if that adjustment worked to maintain the temps within a range and to call the company with the results. That adjustment worked, which indicated to Mark that the problem was with the damper in the refrigerator. When Mark returned a week later, he had the new damper which he installed. The problem with the water dispenser was solved by installing a new filter. While he was there, I had him remove the ice maker which I rarely used anyway (giving me more room in the freezer). I share all this detail because unlike so many businesses, Action Appliance Repair is scrupulously honest, and never once tried to upsell me on anything unnecessary. This is a company that is definitely on my "CALL THEM FIRST" list for any appliance repairs.

We had a wonderful experience recently with Caesars appliance service…read more Daniel did a great job and helped me by cleaning the condenser coils and installing the condenser fan motor; the refrigerator and freezer are working now. He was very professional, arrived in the last half hour of the 3 hour window for which he apologized ( he didn't have to as he was still within the 3 hour window) as he said it took longer for him in the prior job. But that shows, he takes his time and does a good job. He did the same at our place. I give 5 stars to this company and The service technician Daniel. Glad that Fidelity home warranty finally sent the right company and great technician.

Technician Daniel was scheduled 10am-1pm today by landlord, so made sure I was home by 10am…read more Finally showed up at 1pm with no notice - rude to make people wait all day (a text 30 minutes out goes a long way so customers are not waiting around all day). There's a sign at the door not to knock (please text upon arrival) and that was ignored so he set off the dog alarm (grrr). LG ThinQ washer has issue with hot water at final rinse even when set to cold wash. Daniel tells the landlord the friction from the drum is causing the water to heat up. No it's not! Daniel checked the supply lines as I asked to be sure not swapped (they weren't). So his answer is it's being caused with friction (ummm Daniel, if not supply line maybe a faulty temperature sensor or control board - did you even consider that?). Even if that were true of the drum, it would not be enough heat to shrink and fade my clothes which is the issue since moving in two months ago. The issue is hot water when it should be cold. Next the dryer vent hose was all bent, had holes in it, and filled with lint. He wanted to put it back on the machine (a fire hazard). I happened to have a new dryer vent hose in the garage so asked him to replace it. He did so reluctantly, insisting the dryer vent hose is not what causes fires when blocked (yes they do!). Now there's lint and dirt all over the floor and under machines as the stackable unit was installed some 8 years ago. Asked him to clean it up before we put the machines back in. Even brought him a handheld vacuum (he chose not to clean it up) - put the machines right back on top of the layers of lint and debris). Also chose not to clean up the mess on the bathroom floor he'd made. I had to clean it in front of him and the landlord. All techs should have drop cloths and clean up after themselves - full stop!!! Get your techs vacuums. The closet the stackable is in also sustained damage to the wood trim. I point it out and he shrugs his shoulders. Zero accountability. No plans to have anyone come out to repair. Then I notice tikes damaged. Unprofessional all around. And icing on the cake was Daniel said at least 5 times when here he hates working on a Saturday (landlord was here and actually said to him "you might want to find another job" after the fifth time he said it). Then claims repair ticket did not state stackable unit (he explained they require two techs). I call the office and told yes, the repair ticket states stackable. And another note states "landlord declined second technician due to cost of additional $100). There you have it, unit not fixed and waste of 4 hours time, plus damage to tiles (when putting unit back in solo) and busted up trim. Looks horrible. The landlord believes Daniel's "drum friction is heating the water" so not going to do any further diagnostics. Sorry, cannot recommend you. Always have used Andy at Allen Appliance in Aliso Viejo (he is the BEST in all of So Cal). Save yourself the headache and call Andy.
