I just moved into a brand new community where the water is really gross. I requested an appointment online and was called within 24 hours to schedule my initial appointment for my sink filter. Darius came out to install the sink filter and was super knowledgable, efficient and answered all my questions. I knew going into my appointment that I was going to get the top tier whole house filtration system and had the installation appointment scheduled for the next business day. Worst service and product. I installed it in 2016 thinking water softener will solve my hair fall problem. But while going through this product and their service , my blood pressure went up, lost a lot of hair and health detoriated.. Not worth a single cent in my opinion. I am writing this review due to the lack of communication from Dupure and the failure of not fixing my system after it was left damaged by a technician over a month ago.  The maintenance manager Damien I believe was his name came to fix it, told me he would call me after he left (which he did not do) and then tell my wife that it was our pipes not the system that just had "maintenance" performed on. Immediately after the "service" the water tasted like sea water. After the manager came he tried to push me to upgrade to a new system as ours was outdated, which has me believing that he is saying this so that I can can pay for a new water system after I had already had maintenance done to my current system.  I find it very disturbing that I would pay $600 for a maintenance (filters plus cleaning the filter outside) then get told you should upgrade for another $600.  Why would I pay to replace something I just had maintenance done?  I am not sure who else I can talk to but I have had leaking water since the end of July and no one has asked if there were any issues or been contacted by Damien as he told me he would.  I have been with Dupure for years and this is by far the worst it has ever gotten customer service wise.  I hope to get some resolution to the problem I have been dealing with for over a month now.  Please let me know if I should be looking for another water softening company that value loyalty more than what Dupure has shown me this last couple of months. read more

Well I bought my own tester, installed a new $60 filter, and NO CHANGE from normal faucet and yes I let the water run for 10 minute. you are wasting your money!! They do not work!!! Get work done at your on risk with Dupure!!! Their customer service (KaShanti P) is horrible! We scheduled an appointment for maintenance with Dupure. A guy named Abel came out and checked everything out and at the end of the service call he stated everything was good. After Abel left, our water pressure in our home was low! We could not wash clothes, run the dish washer and take a shower at the same time because the water pressure was very low! Our water pressure was not low until after the guy Abel came to our home. We called Dupure rep and my husband spoke with KaShanti P and explain what was going on and ask her to send the rep Abel back out to fix it. KaShanti told my husband it was a resin issue or something like that, KaShanti told him it will cost $550 to fix and she had the nerves to email an invoice without send Abel back out to fix the issue that he messed up in the first place! Kashanti was rude and non-chalant! Abel came back to our home two weeks later, talking about it will cost $550 to fix something he messed up! I don't think so! read more

Well, Initially, the customer service was great. We were sold on installing the softener and filtration system into our new home. After the install we were told the sales guy would stop by the following week to close finish up some paperwork and if we had any questions we could ask him. Well the following week came and I literally saw the guy go across the street to the new homeowners there. They weren't home so he got back in his truck and left. I was beside myself to see he was in the area but didn't stop by. A few weeks later he finally showed up for us to sign some paperwork. This should have been a red flag then but we were running into similar customer service issues in the area so we chalked it up to that's just how it is here in NE SA. The real issues didn't start until AFTER you're stuck with the product. We went to Home Depot looking for compatible replacement filter sets for under the sink. We were told that we weren't the first to ask for a compatible set for the Dupure system and that we'd probably have to go through them. Needless to say, that's what we had to do. The replacement set costs $75.73 As if that wasn't enough, that's not the shocker. We get an email telling us it's time for our yearly inspection. No biggie, right? Wrong. I call to set up the inspection and find out it's $189.95 for the inspection.... why? Culligan advertises theirs is only $40. This is absolutely ridiculous. I am literally beside myself right now. There's nothing compatible with their system and because of that, they can basically get away with charging anything they want. I DO NOT recommend this company. Do your research and SHOP AROUND!!! *The one good thing was they offered military discount but with the way these prices are it's still not worth it. read more

I've had a Dupure system for 14 years. It recently needed a new manifold. My adult daughter called me to find out if I was okay with the price, which she was told (and I overheard on phone) was $263. I asked her to make sure that was the total cost including the service fee. She re-asked the question, again while I was still on the phone with her and was told "yes." I saw no bill when I got home, but when the credit card bill came, the total was over $400. I called billing and they were of no help. Beware. read more

What they don't tell you is the cost of upkeep. I am stuck paying for a system that I will not use because what they don't say is the resin wears out and it's $850 to replace on top of the $500 filter service fee. My system is only six years old. Unless you have deep pockets and like throwing your money away, I do not recommend them and I would give them a zero if I could. read more

Dupree has provided us with clean, good, filtered water since we built our new home 3 1/2 years ago. The company was recommended by our builder. Service has always been good and the technicians very friendly and informative. They always call when it is time to change the filters. They will set up a service call or send you the filters with directions on how to do it yourself. read more

Overall the system was okay. the issue I have is these cheap spigots. No reason that I should be replacing my spigots after 14 months of use. You are better off buying a better quality system from someone that will give better warranty on those items. I encourage anyone looking at this system especially in a new build to stay away from it and get it done elsewhere. It will be more promising. it all sounds good for a new build but in reality it is over priced for the quality it provide. I had I one installed in my first home and it lasted me over 15 years with no issues. So I can that was my biggest regret when putting this home together. stay away from DePure because it is a Pure cheap spigot. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. Dupure installed an under sink water filter in our brand new construction home. A couple of weeks after install we had a new spigot installed. The filter was left in placed and simply connected to the new fixture. Fast forward a couple of weeks and I woke up to our new home completely flooded (800 square feet of our 1900 square feet home). The filter was pouring water out of the tubing connection. Dupure is refusing to accept responsibility, my requests for upper management to contact me have gone unanswered, and the techs that came out to look at the issue claim it occurred as a result of the spigot being changed (weeks prior, no filter tubing was pulled at, etc.) the techs told me to my face the many ways the system could've failed but yet told their higher ups that it's our fault as homeowners? Additionally, the account manager advised that changing the spigot voided the warranty (a warranty that we were never informed of, and received absolutely nothing from this company in writing about the filter system). Such a horrible company, poor customer service. Would not recommend and I sincerely pray nobody else has to go through this. If you have an under sink filter with plastic tubing, I would highly recommend switching to a company that uses a braided metal water line. Edited to add- they also say they've "never had the filter leak before" yet if you scroll you will see a review about a leaky filter, and another person in my neighborhood had the same issue. Shady company. Upper management (Vicente Ibarra VP of Operations) called me and gave me this whole spiel about how honest he is and has so much integrity and would email me right after our call. Really deserves 0, but unfortunately Yelp won't let that happen. I know that what I am going to say has happened to almost everyone that has left a review, but the more the merrier . We were sold a VERY expensive water softener system, we paid it off and now a year later have to have it serviced. They quoted us almost $300 for an inspection, 2 filters, and for a tech to push some buttons on the main machine. This appointment was made and cancelled and reschedule multiple times by them. We wanted to speak to a manager about the account, my husband asked for a call and never received a call, we got an email instead. Now we have also found out that you have to use their filters and so I guess we are stuck in the future. For this being a business it's a poor example. If you are in need of a water softener do your research, save yourself some money and a headache!!! read more

I've been very satisfied with my Evolve Series Water Conditioner and Ultra Pur Reverse Osmosis since I bought the system in 2014. Almost 6 years and no issues. It's protected my home from hard water damage (that is common the Pflugerville area), and I have enjoyed drinking clean water daily. It's saved me thousands of dollars on buying bottled water (and eliminating plastic bottles out of the environment). I wanted to say special thanks to my technician, Jose Sanchez, that recently serviced my system and changed my filters on my reverse osmosis system. Jose was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. He taught me a lot about my system and found some things that other technician's hadn't to improve my system's performance. We had purchased a Dupure whole home water treatment system for our home in Livingston, TX. We recently purchased a home in Magnolia, TX and arranged for Dupure to move the treatment system from our old home to our new one. The technicians were awesome on both ends. However, their customer service center leaves a lot to be desired. Their internal miscommunication caused me to lose an entire day waiting on them to show up. They said they would be at our home between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. At 5:00 p.m. I called and was able to speak to the representative who had scheduled the meet. In our conversation he indicated that we would realize a discount on the services as a result of their "no show" and we rescheduled. Another miscommunication cost me another day of waiting. The entire cost for the transfer of this system was outrageous both in terms of dollars and time wasted. There was no discount on the final bill. Their product is good, their technicians are fantastic but their inability to effectively communicate internally and to the customer is lacking. The rating I offer is a reflection of how they communicate and not the product or technicians. read more

I have had the Dupree water softener system since 2010-2011. It has been working fine until Nov 2018. I have been calling and scheduling appointments for them to fix the problem each time they come out I am told a part needs replacing so they replace it the a day or two later the system continues the same problem. This have been going on since 2018. I cannot believe that they send the repair service rep without parts, so the problem continues and no soft water. Our house came with a Dupure spigot at the sink and Keith came in and added the correct filter for it. My wife was wanting a water softener and Keith was able to clearly lay out what we should get for our house. The install team was quick and professional. They walked through the system to make sure I understood the operation and how to refill it. The only drawback was I was expecting to be charged the day of the sale, but they waited until 2 days before installation to charge my account. A minor hassle at best but it would have been nice to set that expectation up front so I could have everything ready for that. read more

We live in San Antonio area and have the system almost 4 years now. Then one day we noticed the salt level did not drop - The unit stopped processing salt. We called and Dupure set up an appointment for us within a few days. Joshua, the technician, arrived earlier than we expected and we grateful for it. the early arrival means we will have soft water sooner. Joshua has extensive knowledge with the unit - took him no time to figure out the issue. He had to order part and return a few days later to complete the order. But the problem was fixed and the unit is back to business. Joshua is professional, detailed oriented, and patiently explained to our questions. Thumbs up to Joshua. read more

No problem with the equipment but filter/membrane changes are horribly expensive and have to be done by Dupure. Filter change for reverse osmosis is over $125 every year and membrane change for water softener is over $400 every two years. read more

Bought a water softenening system and reverse osmosis system 3 years ago. Have always had all the maintenance done on time each year. 6 weeks ago we started having low water pressure and had the water company come out to check. After the water softenening system was bypassed our water pressure was fine. Also during this same time period, the reverse osmosis system stopped giving water. Had a Dupure technician come out and for $189.00 told us that the bladder of the osmosis tank had a hole in it, the resin and had gone bad after only 3 years and the 2 year filter was also junk after having it replaced just a year ago in the water softenening system....also it was going to cost us another $450 to get it fixed... seriously???? Needless to say we are incredibly unhappy with Dupure and their whole set up. Feel like we are completely getting ripped off.. read more

I purchased my Ecowater softener from Coscto's kiosk reps. That was a little over a year ago and within 6 months I was having issues with the system using too much salt. They charge $139 "trip fee" which I completely pushed back on and for finally was able to get help by calling my local Coscto who pressured them to check the unit out. What the Dupure (local distributor and installer) of the unit was that the original install was done incorrectly. They have since come out to my home trying to fix the issue for the last 3 months and it has yet to be fixed. In addition I had another company who was up in my attic doing AC work for me point out to me that the water softener tube that was installed had been cut into my drain pan of water heater and it would cost +$1K to drain water heater to be able to lift and replace with new drain pan. Dupure is now pointing the finger to Costco to get this fixed. The company and their product is awful!!! STAY AWAY FROM ECOWATER SOFTNERS AND DUPURE....DONT BUY ANYTHING FROM COSCTO KIOSKS EXPECTING TO GET THE SAME BACKUP OF PRODUCTS AS YOU GET INSIDE THE STORE! read more

Stay away from them unless you want to deal with a company that wants to milk you dry. I paid to have one put in my home during building. Which compared to other softeners is way more expensive, if memory serve me correct about $2000. Then they want to charge you $400 every 2 years to keep it in warranty which is a total ripoff since all their "warrantee" is for resin replacement if needed. Stupidly I paid the $400 for their "media shield" numerous times to keep the softener in warranty. One year I fell outside the 2 year window, spoke with a rep and she said if I paid to have the service done then they would honor the warranty. Now they say we had no such agreement. So I'm done with this company and their inflated prices for awful customer service. Do yourself a favor and find another company. The only reason they exist is because they pay builders to install their crap into homes during construction and hope the owner is gullible enough to continue pay their inflated prices for their filters. Basic filters for the under the sink cost about $100 a piece. Same filters most anyone else charges a fraction of the price. read more

Awful customer service!!! We have had our system for exactly one year and it stopped working! My husband called customer service to have someone come out and figure out why it wasn't working as it is under warranty. We were told that the parts for system are under warranty by not the service! They wanted to charge us $189 for the service call! You've got to be kidding me! The system is 12 months old and dies and you want to charge me to come out! A complete sham. So, I live in Austin where we have been under a boil water notice for a few days. I received an email from Dupure saying that our system needed to be sanitized. I called and after being on hold for 40 minutes I was told that I had to arrange a service call to have the system sanitized and that the whole process would be close to $200.00!! I have not been happy with Dupure for years now. They have terrible customer service and their prices are constantly going up. This is a whole new low even for them. We are new homeowners and was approached by Dupure because it was "part of the new home". Mike, the salesman, that visited our home was extremely deceitful, talked fast, and through out all kinds of money figures, very confusing. After 6 weeks of them installing our system I received no bill no paperwork. I called the company that had all the information and the price that was on the bill was NOT what was stated during the "sale". Mike is very good at ripping you off, good at making the sale and screwing the customer! He literally is a con artist and cares only about his commission rather that the care and concern of a customer! RUN RUN RUN from this company! They did not state we had 3 days to cancel, they did not leave any information for us to contact, he doesn't show up for scheduled appointments, doesn't answer phone or text after he has hooked you in! RUN RUN RUN FROM THIS COMANY, CON-ARTIST AT ITS FINEST!! Also, to date we have NOT had anyone show us how the system works AND the gentleman that installed the system basically told my husband that the water softener was WAY overpriced and we could have got the same system for 1200.00 versus 3900.00! read more

I previously wrote a review of Dupure describing a negative experience I had working with them to get a water filtration system for our new construction home in San Antonio. Their customer service department asked me if I would remove the review when they saw it. I now received an email from Yelp saying it was removed. Again this shows what a shady company they are. I 100% agree with the negative reviews. 1st, it takes days for them to call you back. 2nd, they don't stand behind their product. Can you believe that for them to even come out and diagnose the system to see if it's working or not, and warrantable they want $189! I told them I don't mind paying for for any service call outside of the warranty period but to charge to even look was $189! Total rip off!!! Their local New Braunfels customer service manager has no customer service ability! The only "no charge" call you get is when they come and trick you into buying the "builders" choice water softener system and the installation which was subcontracted out. Apparently the only real service which they offer is below installation. After which you're screwed!
