28 dollars for this .. NEVER AGAIN!!
    Judy a.

I usually don't like to leave this horrible of a review. But in this case it warrants it. My family was done eating before they brought my tortillas. My rice was cold. My beans were mediocre. The shrimp was like eight of them for 30 something dollars. When I told the waitress three times can I have my tortillas? I just finally said never mind. Let me speak to a manager. What a joke he is !!! I didn't understand a word he said, and he said something about taking something off the bill. I said my food is cold. He never came back and I will never GO BACK !! This place will be closed in six months to a year. Nobody seems to know what they're doing. Food is mediocre. My husband sat down and said I could tell it's gonna be a white washed Mexican restaurant. By the taste or LACK their of with the salsa, it was next to tomato sauce.. Well, never in this place again .

This is the first time I've eaten there since the name change. Love the inside decor and the food was very good. The place was pretty packed for a mid week early lunch but the wait staff were very attentive to us. Estephany our waitress was super! Really sweet. !

Chilaquiles, steak was $10!!! For 6 pieces????

The aesthetic and the design is GORGEOUS. they really have a beautiful interior design with plants and a tropical vibe that makes you feel like you are in Mexico. The issue is the taste of the food and the prices. The food is SO MID, and overpriced. I got chilaquiles and added steak. The steak was legit 5 pieces for $10. The lychee martinis are sweet and don't even have a real lychee as a garnish. they don't have complimentary chips with salsa, and the two seater tables are insanely small. The hosts have a dirty attitude which I don't understand knowing it's a high end place. The place is gorgeous but the food and hosts are a no no.

The food was excellent, and every dish we ordered was delicious. Unfortunately, the service from the manager left a very negative impression. We had a reservation and arrived on time, but our table had been given to someone else. Instead, we were seated outside. What was especially disappointing was that the manager appeared to seat people he seemed to know ahead of us, even though we had honored our reservation time. The two hosts were doing a great job organizing guests, but the manager stepped in and changed their seating arrangements, which made the situation even more frustrating. I understand the restaurant was very busy, and I know things can happen during peak hours. However, that is exactly why customers make reservations. If reservations are not going to be honored, it makes you wonder what the purpose of making one is. Because of this experience, I don't think I will be returning, despite how much I enjoyed the food. I hope the restaurant reviews its seating and reservation process so future guests receive the service they expect.

I'm not sure why this place has so many bad reviews but honestly I really liked this restaurant. They have really good food and drinks. I got a lychee martini and enchiladas suizas de pollo! 10/10 recommend. We waited less than 30 minutes to get our food & drinks. Our server Dayanna was really nice and she has great customer service. The restaurant has such a pretty aesthetic as well.

First time here, my wife and I had lunch here. Enchiladas enmoladas, I had sopes; all was delicious. Great food!

Was our first time, like a week ago on Saturday, and me and my family loved it so much!! We all got a chilaquiles platter and it was delicious and felt fresh. As well as the guac we tried!! My aunt tried the cafe de olla and loved it and said it tasted really good. The appetizer was also delicious. Our server Abraham was really helpful and despite there being many people he still served us really well!! Really went above and beyond. We were kinda hoping to sit inside but got seated outside and it was still really nice, just a bit hot due to it being summer right now!! The inside is so pretty and feels very ambient!!

My wife and I visited Los Amores de Julia shortly after they opened in Rancho Cucamonga. We always enjoy supporting new local businesses, so we wanted to give them a fair chance. There were definitely some positives. The food was good--I really enjoyed the green ceviche, along with the beans and guacamole. My wife liked her shrimp tacos. Our server, Jose Luis, was excellent, the bar staff did a great job, and the rest of the staff was friendly, working hard, and clearly doing their best. The mariachis were also fantastic. They played late into the evening and sounded great. The restaurant's sound system could use some work, but that's understandable for a new operation. Where the restaurant fell short was leadership. Throughout the evening, management remained at a large table near the bar, appearing more focused on their laptops than on the restaurant. I watched one manager dismiss a member of the mariachi group with a wave of the hand without even looking up. It wasn't a great look. I also never saw management walking the dining room, checking on guests, supporting employees, or making sure the operation was running smoothly. At most successful restaurant openings I've attended, managers position themselves where they can quietly observe the entire restaurant and jump in wherever needed. Here, the impression was the opposite--it felt more like they wanted to be noticed as the boss, than to actually lead. There were also some operational hiccups. Service was a little slow, although understandable for a new restaurant. Drinks were meager at best. Some particularly awkward moments came when staff repeatedly began singing "Happy Birthday" over an active mariachi performance instead of waiting for the song to finish--or better yet, inviting the mariachis to join the celebration. As a business owner myself, I couldn't help but think this restaurant would benefit from stronger leadership and a more hospitality-focused management style. I'd even recommend the management team read Unreasonable Hospitality by Will Guidara. It's an outstanding example of how leadership shapes the guest experience. Overall, Los Amores de Julia has a lot of potential. The food is good, the staff is friendly, and the entertainment is enjoyable. I would absolutely come back--but probably in a couple of months to give them time to refine their systems and, hopefully, their management approach. With the right leadership, I think this place could become something special.

Walk-in Welcome, Ambience, cleanliness, music, decor, friendly staff, good food CHECKMATE! I feel so bad as I can't remember our servers name but she was a doll! I know people don't always like to be checked on mid feedings, but the attention was on point. We are coming back for dinner next week and if I was a local, they would know my name and my "usual". On our table was the following delicacies: Chilaquiles Clasicos with Carne asada, Chilaquiles Chipotle with Chicken, Eggs Benedict with carne asada, gluten free option was the Veggie Omelette w/breakfast potatoes, complimentary chips & salsa, great flavuuur by the way! If you are a Cafe De Olla fan, it's pretty good. I did add 1 packet of sugar for a little more sweetness. Happy customers. Thank you!

I thought clearly stated what I'd like to have. Unfortunately the enchiladas took a very long time to make it to the take, while my party was now boxing up their plates. To my surprise there was no chicken as requested. I just checked with the sever to ensure I was not charged the additional fee for protein. The rice was crunchy, and the beans was not even above room temp. To me this indicates food that sat awhile. While the flavor of the enchiladas was decent, the cheese was already starting to solidify again. I do not plan to return.

The way it was going to be prepared was with spring mix, which I don't prefer. I asked for a spicy skinny margarita, and they were able to accommodate me for that as well! Yummy! The reason for the four stars is because the parking lot is extremely dark and sketchy looking. Unfortunately, I don't feel safe outside there. I feel like it could easily be fixed with an investment in better lighting outdoors.

The food was mediocre but preferred the "on the spot" chef selection where we could order, chilaquiles, fresh tacos, omelets, and quesadillas. The menudo seemed as if it were sitting in the warmer so long it created a dry, thick layer at the top from sitting there for who knows how long. The churros were hard, unsweetened fruits, and dry macaroni salad. The tacos, quesadillas, and chef made eggs were tasteful. The waitress was very attentive and constantly changing out of dishes. Perhaps this day was a fluke as the hostess mentioned they are usually crowded but it was pretty empty when we arrive at 12:30.
