Sometimes honesty isn't always the best policy!!…read more I told them my house had just been painted so they charged me extra to scrape off paint overspray. $600 to be exact!!! I assumed they did a good job and tipped the guys well. Then I noticed ALL the paint overspray was still there. And then I remembered that I never saw them use a ladder and I never saw either of them scraping any paint with a razor blade. My honesty did NOT pay off. So I wrote back to them explaining the situation (with some of the pics you see here) and they apologized and set up a "touch up" appointment. That's fine. I mean it's more time that I had to spend waiting for them except....THEY NEVER SHOWED UP! And when I called to ask where they were, they started backtracking. "How many windows are we talking about"? "Did the painters use masking tape?". I'm like "Of course they used masking tape and anyway...WHERE ARE YOU???" So that starts an email thread where they tell me that scraping paint off would take more time and that I would have to pay them more money. I ALREADY PAID YOU MORE MONEY TO SCRAPE THE PAINT OFF!!! $600 to be exact!!! They're now telling me that they didn't realize now much paint needed to be scraped off. Well, look for yourself. Does that look like something they should charge me MORE money for, or something they should have cleaned off in the first place. It's hard to take pictures of stuff on windows but I did my best. Save yourself the HASSLE and use a different company. These people don't know how to run a business, they don't keep their word, they don't show up and they just are not good peeps. EPILOGUE: Well, you can tell from his long, rambling response that he's lying. It's kinda like Walter White in Breaking Bad whenever he tried to lie. He just went on and on. But I know the truth. Had I not told them my house was just painted, I would have gotten the same service for less money. They used my honesty against me and that pisses me off. I'm old enough to remember a slogan that businesses of all kinds used to use. And it's a simple one: "The customer is always right" Not anymore. So what can you do? Fight back. Write an honest review. Demand your money back (In the end, the credit card company sided with me and I got a FULL refund) . Remember YOU have the power. You're not the little guy; You're the customer. And the customer is always right!

I describe at the bottom of this message just how difficult this job was . They exceeded my expectations. Alex who did the work was professional, friendly, efficient and very hard-working. Communication before the job was very good and the quote was in line with the price. I'm very pleased with the work. This was not your average gutter and roof cleaning project. There were layers of pine needles on the roof and in the gutters. The gutters are a weird design and built into the eaves. He had to work from underneath and from the house side to get to them. The downspouts were completely clogged with pine needles. He had an amazing array of tools and hoses that made the job possible. It had not been cleaned in decades. They were weeds growing out of the top of the gutters and onto the roof - the layering of pine needles was so heavy. Alex pulled them out and even they had Roots that extended down into the downspouts. Again, I couldn't be more happy.

He was the only one who detailed every item involved in the bid, including update of irrigation. I've had issues in the past with bids for other projects that I assumed included the little details but didn't and then I had to pay extra. Michael's bid included every detail in writing that you would assume would be a part of a new lawn job and it was very reasonable. He also showed up on time for the initial appointment! His crew was great! Their work was very detailed and clean. The job was done within three days and all of the work area, including the driveway, was cleaned up. They even noted my falling-apart fence gate so Michael gave me a very reasonable quote and they did a great job fixing it for me. There were a lot of details for after-care and I've texted Michael multiple times to confirm. He texts back quickly and I never get the impression he's annoyed (I've sent a lot of texts!). I almost wish I had more yard renovations so that I could hire him again! I did discuss a whole-yard mulch job and will absolutely hire Michael when I'm ready for that. We had been quoted anywhere between $5,000-$15,000 to replace our sliding patio doors with French…read moredoors. Our garage is detached, so we could not lock our old patio doors, meaning if we wanted to use our garage, we either had to leave the house unlocked or walk around the block to our front door. We were told by all the other contractors that our doorway was a weird size, and that they were unable to install the doors without cutting into our drywall and stucco and removing our patio stairs. We were also told this would be a project that took multiple days. I posted our other quotes to Yelp to see if other contractors could beat it, and Sivan responded. Oded from Sivan came in and confirmed what I suspected: That what we were told by other contractors was wrong, and that they could easily replace our sliding patio doors with French doors with a lock, and that it could be done via retrofitting and would only take a matter of hours. Everyone at Sivan was easy to work with. My husband and I frequently have meetings during the day, so it's hard to have a call about house stuff. Everyone at Sivan was able to communicate via e-mail and text so we could handle things while in meetings, and they were super responsive even though we sometimes took months to respond because we had a baby since we originally reached out to them. We were able to get our doors done for $4,298.80, which was the best quote we had from any contractor and included labor, materials, and a warranty. In sum, we highly recommend Sivan if you are looking to replace your doors!
