TL;DR - golden eagle is the BEST. Think coffee haagen das turned into a frappe. Opt out of their caramel topping if you generally like things a little less sweet. Very generous sizing of their drinks. Get their APP and sign up because you get a free medium drink! I've heard great things about Dutch Bros coffee and never had a chance to try it until now. That Golden Eagle is SO GOOD!!! We ended up going back a second time to get it again, and a different drink to broaden our experience lol. For those who haven't been here before, a lot of the customers stay in their cars and order with the help of a worker (or two) with a tablet. There are two lanes and it goes by pretty quickly. Or you can go up to the window. But there is no indoor seating, or any indoor area at all actually. Their sizes are very generous. We got their 'medium' which was basically 24 oz. It was HUGE. The golden eagle is basically a coffee haagen dasz but turned into a frappe. They also have this caramel topper as well which made it too sweet in my opinion. So if you typically like a little less sweet, then opt out of it. Between me and my wife, we finished that drink in 15 minutes. It was AMAZING. Went back the next day and got the exact same thing. NOTE: if you get their app and sign up for the first time, you'll get a free medium drink!
The closest Dutch to the beach in Southern Cali I've come across so far. It brings me great joy to see Dutch exploding nearly everywhere. If you're already a fan this one is very close to the beach and if you already have another favorite coffee place, you should still try this one because variety is the spice of life. Service so friendly it almost makes me uncomfortable and drive thru only. Congrats Dutch on this extra awesome location!
We ordered online, but we're told that the app was down when we arrived at the store. The worker was very nice and made our drinks there. We got our drinks within five minutes, even though the orders went down. We ordered the 911 and the chai latte snickerdoodle from the secret menu. We used our free medium drinks with joining. The 911 tasted like a mocha latte, but the coffee taste was not very good. It was too sweet and syrupy. The chai latte with snickerdoodle was pretty good. The snickerdoodle flavor was also sweet and strong. Next time I would do half sweetness. Being from the Los Angeles area, there are not many Dutch Bros near us so we wanted to visit when we came to San Diego. There was a long line for the drive-through when we visited, but a short line for the pickup ordering. Their app is also quite well designed with a good reward system. The drinks were just OK, too sweet mostly and a little overhyped.
First time at this location and man is this a popular spot! Close to the freeway and very very busy. Decided to mobile order as the drive lanes were busy. Waited a decent amount of time. Staff was very friendly and coffees were great!
One of those places where the 5 stars is well deserved. You got good drinks and good coffee along with some great sodas mixed with syrup and all provided by some amazing customer service, and it just can't be beat. Drive-through and walk-up service were both quick and efficient. We ordered through the walk-up window and received our drinks and great service the entire time. The employee even honored our request for extra syrup and caramel on the side for our drinks. If you have never had Dutch Bros coffee by now, what are you waiting for? Helloooooo!
First time at a Dutch Brothers and it was a fantastic, extremely sweet experience. I had the 911. It's six shots with half and half and Irish crème. The good, Dutch Brothers make the best blended drink in the commercial coffee world. Smooth and icy. They have it down. The speed of service was amazing. It took what seemed like a minute to make. I have no idea how they pulled six shots and blended a drink so fast. The employees were sweet, engaging, happy and had common sense. The only thing is I'm not into sweet drinks which is what they are known for but ever since I saw an old episode of Shark Tank I wanted to try this place. I'm glad I tried it. If I'm in the area I'll ask them to make it half sweet. I highly recommend this is you want a sugar high! This location is near the freeway but driving east on Oceanside requires a bit of driving as you need to go to the end of the block, make a left turn and drive through the parking lot of a dead little shopping center.
8/10 Cinnamon Swirl Blended Freeze- OMG this was a very sweet drink. I completely forgot that Dutch Bro's makes their drink craaazy sweet. I should've asked for 1/2 sweet. Other than that the drink was delicious! It had a yummy crunch to it. I love their blended drinks. 10/10 Service- Amazing service. I also got a pup cup for my little girl for the first time! 6/10 Cost - $7.63 in total. A pricier drink on the Dutch Bro's menu.
I LOVE IT HERE!!!! As busy as it can get, the customer service is top notch!!!! We saw a long long line, but just needed to get our golden eagle fix! Customer service was great and our drinks were ever better! I only wish they offered FOOD LOL!!! hahahaha... Other than that, we shall be back!

After running errands, I was on the I-5 heading south and decided to grab a new seasonal coffee drink from Dutch Bros Oceanside. It was just a minute away from the freeway offramp. I pulled into the drive thru and ordered a medium Candy Cane Iced Mocha. OMG...with espresso, peppermint, chocolate milk, soft top and candy cane sprinkles, it was a sweet, icy treat and the cool blast of peppermint was a great way to welcome the holiday season. You can order this drink hot or cold. Either way, it will put you in the spirit. Like other Dutch Bro stores, the staff are friendly here in Oceanside and work hard to pump out orders in a timely fashion. Grab one of their seasonal drinks today and celebrate the holidays. You'll be glad you did!!
Excited to try this spot. It was pretty standard for regular coffee. Perhaps the "fun" drinks are what people come here for. There's a walk up window or drive thru. We did walk up / wait wasn't too long. Plenty of parking. No restrooms.
Golden Eagle Chai is soo yummy! Its like candy in a drink form. I didn't know Dutch Bros opened late, but it is always a mandatory stop whenever I go to Oceanside - even at 9 PM. Service is really fast even with their small building. The workers' vibes are always so fun and welcoming. I've always loved going to this location. read more

NO DRIP COFFEE?!?! Seriously, no regular cup of coffee. I asked for a regular coffee and a staff member gave me the look. I had to settle with an americano. The coffee is ok, nothing special. I'm sure after you add all the syrups, sugars and creamers, you have no idea if you are drinking good coffee or not. Not much of ambiance, considering you have to order from an outside walk up window. If you are looking for 1000 calories mocha, this is the place for you, but if you want a decent regular coffee, it's a hard pass. read more

Dutch bros is like the Disneyland of coffee! The way the workers treat you and converse with you (even while in the rain) is so pleasant and genuine. As for the store front faces they've always been friendly. The beat part of DB is the endless choices, milk options, and sugar free option they have. It's a never boring experience when I visit. read more

So I really don't like reviews like crazy, but I had a right review for this young lady name Amelia she was gracious and the drive-through I didn't know I wanted to get she took her time very friendly very nice and to be honest I've never had a bad customer service here, we will never step foot in a Starbucks ever again. Your choice now from now on thank you very much for having great employees. Keep up the great work guys and I hope you guys keep on expanding and Southern California especially in Orange County. Mmm mmm mmmmmmm!!!! I first had Dutch Bros coffee while vacationing in Oregon. It was a taste worlds apart from what i was used to in coffee service. They had tons of options and the San Diego location is no different. Hot, cold brew...espresso...I got a triple shot Irish crème hot coffee and it was spectacular. We also got a blended " golden eagle " which was a vanilla late drizzled w caramel. Banging. I feel it will be a regular stop on our trips to and from San Diego moving forward. Great treat. read more

We finally have a Dutch Bros "closer to home"!!! And by closer to home, it's still about a half an hour away from me personally, but at least I don't have to go out of state to enjoy it. I was super excited because Dutch Bros is THE reason I became a coffee person and that was during my Washington trip. Tried the Oceanside one on our way to Hollywood one morning and wow, line is pretty long at 8am, BUT it was pretty quick. The gentleman taking our order was super friendly. We ordered the iced White Annihilator and it was a perfect pick-me-up. Large is quite large so I recommend going a little smaller. It's right by the freeway so it's easy to stop by. read more

They finally opened! Having lived in Seattle for some time, DB's has become my guilty pleasure, but the closest one to me has always been in the desert. They opened this location about a month ago so everyone is still getting the hang of things and it always seems to be busy. Even then, the customer service is incredible and they are all working so hard in there. Caroline helped us out and was seriously the nicest person ever! The drive thru looked way too long so I parked (easily in the big lot) and walked to the window. Their menu is endless, get the app to earn rewards and special deals! This place is known for being able to make almost any drink just the way you like it. Great location right off the freeway! I can't wait to come back! read more

I was so excited when I heard that Dutch Bros was opening locations in San Diego. We were driving up to Los Angeles and had to make a pit stop to get some coffee. This location is right off the Oceanside exit. We went around 11:00am on a Sunday and they were fairly busy. They had 2 lines going at the same time. There were at least 3 team members outside taking orders. The lines are pretty long, but they move pretty quickly. The workers were very friendly and looked like they were really enjoying working there. They also had team member run out of drinks to your car. We were in and out within 7 minutes. I got the Annihilator. Most of their drinks are on the sweeter side, so I got it half sweet. My drink was delicious! read more

For the vibe alone this place was super awesome. The line was kinda long... but it moved along quickly. The service was great, I really appreciated the attendant helping us figure out the best coffee choice for us. The coffee however was just ok... tasted like every other coffee spot. But I loved the customer service, so I'll be back to try out other options. read more

I decided to get some coffee since I'm a student and needed to be up late. I arrive at Dutch Bros at 6:54 pm and don't get my coffee until 7:26. No coffee is worth waiting 30 minutes for. There's two lines that combine into one closer to the window and it was PACKED. There were also people surrounding the walk up window too. Although there were several people working, no one seemed to know what was going on. The person who took our order was friendly. But they didn't get my name (are they supposed to), didn't get my car right, and messed up my order since I ordered a small and got a gigantic cup of coffee. The total for my coffee and a child's lemonade was over $8. I don't know the exact amount because I didn't get a receipt. After ordering I continue waiting to get to the window. I pull up a couple cars away from the window and I hear two employees talking about an order they have and they don't know who it belongs to. One says that it might be my order since something about it got messed up. The girl comes to my car to ask my order and before I'm finished speaking she tells me it's not mine and walks away quickly. Not the best customer service there. I could tell she was very stressed and frustrated though. I drive up to the window and there's two guys on the monitor clicking around trying to find my order. I end up telling them what I got and they click around and look around more. The same girl then goes inside, places the two drinks on the silver tray that hangs out the window and says here's your order and walks away. I couldn't even reach them so the guy at the window hands me my drinks and I drive off. I immediately realize after the awkward interaction that the drink is wrong. It's huge. I taste it and it's disgusting. It doesn't taste like pumpkin at all. The lemonade was ok. Overall, the coffee wasn't good and the line was way too long. The system they have isn't efficient and it's not sustainable with what's happening here. They need to get people's names. They need to ask the brand of the car rather than guess. They need to figure out how to push out drinks faster while accurate at the same time. The place looks nice. But what's the point if the service isn't great and the coffee tastes bad? read more

So very happy Oceanside has a Dutch Bros! Amazing drink options ( download the Dutch Bros app before you go) they have the menu on their app. Blended,iced, hot and smoothies as well. There are a lot of sugar free options including the rebel drinks! My favs are camp out cold brew, double rainbow rebel blended and also the 911(for the tough days when you need that extreme caffeine boost). Always worth what ever wait time there is! The staff is always upbeat and positive vibes, makes the start or end of the day even better! Just be patient, don't cut in line and follow the signs! You won't be disappointed read more
Yes yes yes!!! I love Dutch Bros and have been begging the OR state and Northern CA franchises to open one in San Diego. And it finally happened! I couldn't believe it when my friend told me there was one in Oceanside. I don't care i am a 40 min drive I am going to get my Dutch Bros fix. I got there in the evening so I think I lucked out as the lines were not too bad (based on the cones). The girl helping me with my order was super nice and friendly. I ordered the cocomocha with oat milk to make it dairy free (their chocolate sauce is dairy free yes for all the lactose intolerant people). I had to order the LARGE bc it's that good and who knows when I am able to make it up to Oceanside again. Drink was good! Still not over Dutch Bros Is finally in SD county. read more

I remember these being so much tastier when I visited out of state locations. We ordered eight different drinks and the majority pretty much tasted like watered down milk. I ordered a plain iced nitro cold brew by mistake though and what we ended up doing was adding that coffee to the half-drank flavored coffees. The islander freeze was pretty good by itself. The menu they have outside is very basic so I recommend using the website or app to see all the flavors they offer. It was fun for the novelty but I probably wouldn't drive all the way to Oceanside again just for coffee. read more

This place is a sugar and chemical plant in hiding behind the guise of coffee stand! I ordered my daughter an Aftershock Rebel drink (deconstructed since she was going to drink it the next day). What I received was 16-ounce "Energy Drink" containing 50 grams of sugar along with a slew of artificial ingredients. To top off this disgusting can of toxins they provided a side of more sugar syrup and what looked like red dye chemicals. This place should be investigated for this garbage they are serving! The long lines and awful access to the business stand adds to the dire state of this business. This type of place is an example why 50 % of our society in America suffers from obesity. NA (Never Again) will I give my money to this business. They should be ashamed of themselves. read more

The long awaited opening finally happened! Having only been to the Yuma, I was excited when we have one closer, still an hour away! For opening weekend or just being a Dutch Bros they were very efficient. Waited 25 minutes in the walk up, the car line snacked in and around the entire parking lot and to the side street on the east side. Once ordered I think we got our drinks in about 3 minutes. The employees were all super friendly. We saw one of the employees having to unloading his personal vehicle filled with supplies, plus they had a refrigerated truck and trailer in the parking lot. Hopefully the won't run out of supplies, and the Dutch Bros recognizes that San Diego needs more, especially in Oceanside. This was super busy the "default" big chain coffee place across the street was dead, and just down the street a block another big chain coffee and donut place was having their grand opening week(s) and they had zero customers. That tells you the worth of this coffee to stick out the long lines. read more

My wife and I always stop driving to and from San Diego because it is right off the freeway and easy to get to to! We don't have a Dutch bros near where we live so it is a must stop for us anytime we are driving by! The workers are always so friendly and the line can get a bit long but it moves quickly. We always get a golden eagle chai and a flavored green tea with fruit pieces. The drinks are large and always very tasty! read more
