I use to love dutch bros on thunderbird, but now it's not that great. The lines are always so busy. Plus if they mess up your order you still have to wait in line again for them to fix. Plus the attitude that I got when I got up to the lady was aweful, because she messed up my drinks. Even though I had called the store and they said they would fix my drinks for free the way I asked them to be. She even tried to charge me for a drink fix. Seriously, Dutch on thunderbird. Okay so this is my new addiction! Not only do they make my iced soy latte just the way I like, but I can drive through with my kiddos with no problem. The most notable thing about this business though is the incredible energy and happiness that radiates from the emplyees. The company clearly is purposeful about how they hire. They hire energetic college kids who are bubbly and social and seem to be sincere in how they treat each customer. I recently went to this Dutch brothers location ,and although all employees are always so happy and try to make it a pleasant experience when visiting. This particular morning was so special .It was a very sad time in my life. My husband is dying and we've been together for 40 years. And when the young lady asked how I was that day, I just mentioned" I was hanging in there" and things were difficult at this time. she not only comp my coffee, she gave me a voucher for another free coffee, and on my cup she printed, we love you and stay strong. I don't get it. Yes, they have exceptional customer service, but I don't think their coffee is worth waiting in a normal line of 11-15 cars deep. It's coffee, it doesn't have a superior taste to other coffee places but I guess if you have time to kill waiting in line at least the customer service is awesome. We will go occasionally if there is a short line just to support them but again I don't get why it's worth waiting in a line 15 cars deep. I went there for the first time today. These people have the best personalities. The guy that took my order made me promise to always get something new and gave me a free coffee plus a high five. I love DB coffee. I struggle with this location and would rather drive further out so I don't have to wait so long. The atmosphere of DB is always upbeat and friendly, but the lines here tend get ridiculous and there isn't any sense of speeding up the process to accommodate customers. I have sat down to write this review a few times before but something always came up and it was pushed aside. After today I decided I was going to make time to finish this letter. I had planned on writing this as a humble review as a token of appreciation for the quality of service provided by the Dutch Bros West Valley crew in Peoria, AZ but they deserve much more than something "humble." How do you put into words how appreciative you are for the customer service experience? If I listed every single time the crew went above and beyond, I would have to write a novel. Up until a little over a year ago I was a dedicated Starbucks Gold Card holder. I was told to give these guys a try just once so that I can see the difference. I'll admit, I had my doubts. Who was this company? If they were so great, being the coffee drinker I am, why had I not heard about them? One time through the drive-thru and I was hooked. It wasn't the coffee that hooked me it was the unbelievable customer service. As your Creed says, "Check it out; it just might change your state-of-mind." It did just that for me. Since that first day, I have visited this location nearly every day since. I am sure that all your locations have the same superior crew that this particular location does but I feel that you should know just how superior this crew is. Some people think that the staff compliments customers because it's their "job" to do that. I have a business management degree and have sat through many classes involving marketing, customer service, and employee moral/retention. I like to think that I have a very high expectation for customer service because there should be nothing less. This staff doesn't fit the typical customer service mold in a good way. Maybe they've been trained to be "nice" but even so, we know it's truly genuine. They aren't trying. It is who they are. There are 2 employees specifically that I would like to mention because it seems I interact with them the most. Jaime Munoz and Angelina Orozco. It was Jaime's comment to me one morning that made me want to sit down and finish this letter. It's been a rough week, I have been sick, and I was super tired but after talking to him, he made me feel so much better with his kind words. Angelina...well she makes me feel important. She always asks about my daughter and it feels like we are friends. These two are perfect examples of genuine, kind-hearted people. They don't pretend to care, they do care. That type of employee is indispensable and rare. I hope their corporate office and local owner know how lucky they are to have found these two and the rest of the crew at the Peoria location. They are what bring us customers back day-after-day. (The coffee isn't bad either ) When I looked up the company rating on BBB, to no surprise the company has an A+ with ZERO complaints. That is extremely hard to achieve these days! Kudos to them for achieving something very few companies do. I appreciate the way they have trained the crews and the way they are following their duty perfectly. Keep up the good work. Once again thanks West Valley for the good service and I wish the company a lot of success. I truly believe other businesses could learn a lot about customer service from this organization as a whole! If they were ever open a corporate office here, I'd love to work for them. read more

Let's just say this place is not a fit for me. I've learned that it is part of their culture to ensure that the customer experience borders on obnoxious. Last week, I used the drive-thru only to have the teenager attendant (easily old enough to be her mother, by the way) call me 'darlin' at least four times within 30 seconds. She then gives me her handheld device, telling me to answer 'a few questions' on it. The first question: How much of a tip will I leave? Unbelievable! I've never been a fan of the 'tip jar mentality', but this was way over the top. I then inquired..."You said there were a 'few' questions; I only saw one." She wasn't sure what to say to that. As for the coffee: I ordered a vanilla latte, and it tasted like a cup of coffee grounds. Horrible. I didn't even drink it. As a prior reviewer mentioned, if you are looking for a cup of flavored sugar, then things may work out for you - but not if you want a good cup of coffee. Leave the house a few minutes earlier in the morning & go to Starbucks. read more

This place used to be great but, either I got the B-Team on Saturday, or the quality has dramatically declined. The person taking my order had a hard time following what I asked for (I repeated several times.); still, this wasn't a huge deal - she may have been new, tired, or . . .. When we pulled up to pay for our order (The person who took our order did not have a working card reader, so we had to pay at the window.), the staff member was friendly - as they usually are. My issue can when I asked for straws. Employees regularly come in contact with all sorts of things while interacting with the public. They should not use their bare hands to give customers straws that are not wrapped (Most straws are individually wrapped in paper.). Please put covers on your straws - employees who are handling credit cards and money should not give customers bare straws with their dirty hands. Sadly, my experience did not end here. The coffee was terrible. It tasted overdone and watered down. This is not a good combination. I want my $15.75 back. That's a lot of money to blow on bad coffee. Guys, I've supported you for a long time. Get it together. read more

They always ask how you are and start small talk. The music is always fun and upbeat and it's just a great atmosphere.
