It drives me absolutely nuts (the coffee is just so good). But I gotta say, the guy who took my order today really hit it out of the park. NO SMALL TALK. It's ridiculous when I'm standing in line and the barista taking orders is having a full conversation with a friend while me and two other people are just standing waiting to order. I was in a hurry thinking the walk up window was quick, but apparently if you go to that be prepared to wait while the barista have full conversations with friend and waists your time for a quick order. Today, I found myself wanting DB since 2PM. I was working at the time, so going once I was free turned out to be around 10PM. This is not unusual as I frequently visit around these hours with my family to get a drink. Today was the "tip of the iceberg" in shit service from DB. The line was ridiculously long, but I knew what i signed up for since it usually is. What was different about Today was that there was only one employee working outside taking orders. ONE. The poor fella was probably near heat exhaustion with the mask he had to wear, without hydration, moving from car-to-car without help. After about 15 minutes in line, another fella came to help, he was a nice guy, no complaints. Another 10 minutes go by and we're near the pick-up window. Only one car in front to be exact. Now I'm not one to be in others business but I noticed that not only did the Drive-thru female hand the drink to the driver, but also made for a lengthy conversation. I thought she must be providing good service here. Boy was I wrong. Once we pull up to the window, not only was my drink not handed to me (which seemed like following "rules" was bullshit), not only was the tone of this female not-so-positive, but one of the drinks which I had ordered with Coconut milk was read as "Almond milk". I say "forgive me madam there must have been a mix-up, as I ordered Coconut milk, not Almond." To that the broad at the window says "oh I just said it wrong, try it and tell me if its right." Well how about you f***ing ask whoever made it if its right. Of course I did not make a fuss of it, went on with my night and decided to never visit this DB again. Moral of the story is, if you got the complexion for the connection, you get treated better, if you don't just take your drink and F*** off. I went to this location at 400pm on Sunday. There was one car ahead of me. A kid came out, took my order, s small coffee, nothing fancy. I waited for 25 minutes as the girl bantered and laughed with the are ahead. of me. Mind you, there were was ONLY one car. Cars started to lineup behind me, they had to wait too. Finally, I got to the window, and they had made the wrong the item for me. I said I had waited for 25 minutes. The girl giggled and said they had made the wrong drinks. I said I wanted my money back. She was reluctant to do it, but I insisted. So, she took my CC and told me she has issued a credit. This far, that credit has NOT been applied. The flavor is great, and they have few extensive drink menu. The staff is very friendly! But I walked up to an adorable young lady named Xochil her customer server from the second I walked up was something you DO NOT see today. It's a sad sad world for service. I eventually explained I am new to AZ and never had Dutch Bros and sorry for the questions. He than went on to recommend the most amazing Frappe, the Bob Marley, and he gave it to me for Free because I was a new customer. Don't get me wrong, I love their coffee. But, their service leaves something to be desired. Today for instance, I waited nearly 20 minutes to obtain my coffee. They were about 12 to 15 cars in line so I decided to go to the window. I was the third person in line. It still took nearly 20 minutes. There were multiple conversations going on between the staff about what they did for the summer, the classes that they were taking in school, or what their plans were for the weekend. There was very little actual making of the orders for coffee patrons. For someone like myself, time is very important especially when it comes to my morning coffee. I love Dutch brothers and go out of my way to use their services. But it's getting to be too much of a time suck to go to Dutch Brothers. read more

I've lived in the area for years and gone to multiple Dutch Bro's locations, some even out of state. I'm really disappointed in the service of this location. Working in the food industry I know it's hard when you have a long line in the drive-thru and it's a really long shift, still no excuse for being rude of half-assing drinks. I stopped here during my lunch hour. The location is great, it's very convenient from where I work at Banner. I went through the drive thru. Once I got my drink is when it all went downhill. My drink tasted like nothing but Mocha! I ordered the carmelizer. I got off to tell the girl that my carmelizer tasted nothing like it. She explained to me that the carmelizer has mocha. Which ok that's fine but it legit tasted just like mocha. She offered to add more caramel but then I believe it was a supervisor that came up to the window? He had the rudest approach as if I were a bother to help! He reiterated what the girl had told me. He said he'll just make me a whole new caramelizer. He legit yelled out to the back staff to remake it. He then told me to give him my old drink so that he could toss it into the trash. I said, well can't I just keep it instead of it being wasted? He nearly flipped out. He said "usually the high schoolers do that so they can get free drinks!" Mind you I am wearing my Banner scrubs with my name tag! I said in return that usually all coffee shops let you keep the drinks they messed up on or that you are not satisfied with. He said well you can keep it and purchase the new one! Like excuse me?! He acted like I was trying to get free drinks I was just saying like ok you're going to throw them away anyways. He was unbelievably rude and did not have good customer service. Wish I got his name but I was almost late back to work. I did however email customer service! It's common courtesy to give a free drink if you mess up my order! After some bad experiences with Starbucks mostly around poor customer service I tried this place and was blown away with how they treated their customers, a stark contrast to Starbucks where it feels like it is a hassle for you to be there.
