Ohh how I love my Dutchies! I have to admit the new cookie dough freeze is my new favorite second to the strawberry horchata! The tropical frosted lemonade was delicious but too sweet for my liking. All in all the drinks were delicious and descent size for what you pay compared to competitors such as Starbucks. The staff is friendly and excessively chatty which we customers love! There is not much of a place to hang out other than the drive through but if it was it would be a nice place to kick it when people want to hang out with friends and family. read more

When I arrived, the line was SO long, it took me about an hour and 20 minutes to get the drink which I expected after hearing from multiple friends that the line was long so I didn't mind waiting. I got a peppermint bark with coffee drink which was great! It tasted like a peppermint mocha from Starbucks! They had multiple employees at different spots throughout the line to ask if you have any questions about the menu and they gave me a free car freshener. They didn't have a menu closer to the shop which was a bit inconvenient as I had to look on their website for what I wanted to order. I think it would have been extremely helpful for the employees to hand out menus as people are waiting in line! I would go back if I am in the area as it is quite a far drive for me. I live down the road from the cute little drive thru shop and have been waiting for weeks for the lines to go down so I could zip in and see what all the hype was about-FINALLY not a car in site, I ordered my coffee and went to pay with cash,only to find out they didn't take cash. That particular day I did not have my card. I was disappointed and about to drive off but Cody took care of my bill! She was super friendly, got me a mini to go menu and chatted with me while they whipped up the coffee I have been waiting so long to try. I was shocked and grateful! Finally decided to do the Dutch and brave the lines (Yesterday they were lined up on Unser for 1/4 mi 6:30am Sunday morning, just a shorter line, still took 1/2 hour start to finish....upon ordering via awesome roving order taker who was walking the line taking orders, she stated that 12 cars were waiting in line when they opened at 5:00am !! This place has been open for a little over 3 weeks as of today and I'm surprised to see how busy they still are. I thought by now it would've settle down. Nonetheless the less it's rare I find myself on the west side and Rio Rancho these days so figured since I had a dentist appointment on the west side might as well try this while I had the time. The line was backed up to the entrance. There was an employee directing traffic and guided all the cars safely to a single line which turns into a double line then back to a single. Very confusing so expect that when you arrive. They had employees posted at the double lines with tablets taking orders and accepting payments. Seeing as it was my first visit I had no idea what the menu was. I had to ask and they referred me to the website which I had to access with my phone. So between the line and that I was pretty irritated. Luckily it moved fairly quickly and I was out within 20 minutes. I ended up choosing an iced mocha. I got a large thinking it was like a Starbucks large but it was far larger than that in my opinion. The coffee was pretty good. They have some great brew. Even though it was iced it was still strong and packed with flavor. I wish I would've been able to see a full menu up close because the phone was a maze trying to see it all. I was hoping to maybe try a goodie too as I've heard from friends in California that they make some great muffins, and other goodies. Seeing as I felt sort of rushed with the employee standing next to my car as I reviewed the menu from my phone I ended up just getting the mocha. Hopefully next time I go it won't be as busy and I can maybe try their other selections. The coffee was pretty good so the flavor was enough to make me want to return again. So, I am definitely a coffee person. I typically choose coffee flavored ice cream or gelato and love a good coffee flavored hard candy. Hot coffee, iced coffee and of course frozen coffee! There's a lot of hype for the new Dutch Bros in town and honestly it is no where near me, but I found myself on that side of town this weekend so I gave it a try. Be warned, there is a line when you pull up, you can see it as you head in towards the blue Dutch Bros building. On a Saturday afternoon at 1:00 pm, I waited in line for exactly 1 hr. I ordered the Annihilator, blended. It was tasty but I did feel that the chocolate macadamia nut flavor, nor the coffee really came through. It was sweet, that's for sure but not as much coffee nor flavoring as I would have preferred. I may try it again, but rather another style, perhaps the cold brew. The large is no joke, I think it is 24 oz of your caffeinated pleasure. You gotta get a large to make your wait worth it. Also, there is quite a large menu of flavors, I can't hardly make a complete decision on how I feel about the Dutch Bros mania that is sweeping over the west side of Burque off of one drink, I need to try more. For this visit I'm happy to give them 3 stars. I'll be back and revisit their rating too. read more

Be ready to wait. The lines look intimidating but it's because this place is sooo good!! I was very excited to drive across town for this delight. I ordered three americanos on ice, one with coconut milk and sugar free Carmel syrup, second with sugar free coconut syrup and half and half, and third with sugar free Carmel syrup with heavy cream. Unfortunately, when they gave me my drinks only two drinks came out correctly. The "heavy cream" drink had whip cream floating on the coffee, instead of putting the liquid form into the drink. I mean it's an honest mistake, but when they remade it for me they left out the sugar free Carmel. I had already drove away and I was pretty bummed out when I figured it out. I gave them a four stars because the two drinks were made to perfection and I love Dutch Bros coffee!! But this location needs to step up their ability to get all the drinks done correctly the first and second time around. read more

I have driven across ABQ twice (literally 30 mins each way) to try it and both times the electricity was out...what are the odds that both times the electricity is out?! So waited in line about 30 minutes, and got a black ice coffee - the diamond standard for how good the brew is. Well mine was "meh" at best. Seriously it tasted like Farmers Brothers ie "coffee machine blend". I know their blended coffee is good but I like the straight up so will go back to my cold or nitro at Starbucks Golf Course and Paseo. Also the staff was well a bit taken with themselves? I will find the pics but there were 2 20somethings a guy with dark hair and glasses and a hawaiian shirt and a girl who seemed more concerned with their looks than service. They chatted like not a care in the world with a car as the line to the right of me kept getting served. Awesome dude. THEN they just left and went inside - no "someone will be right with you" or even a nod I existed. WTF seriously? then a very nice tatted up guy with a CA Dutch Bros shirt came and took my order and was so nice and actually competent. Fire the other 2, promote this guy. There are lots of folks who need jobs - you dont need to keep the "trying to act cool" folks. Customer service - its a concept. I will probably be back when my coffee hound daughter arrives from WA state. If you have lived in the Pacific Northwest coffee is like wine - a fine taste experience. I've wanted to try Dutch Bros, ever since I didn't get around to it on my California trip last year. I must've gone at the perfect time, since there were 2 lines that were moving quickly and 3 employees taking orders in line. I probably spent 10 minutes in line tops (took me longer to drive over there than to wait in line!). The staff was super friendly and seemed to love their jobs, which is why they deserve 5 stars alone. They had a designated gal at the window to talk to people and ask them how their day was going while they waited for the finishing touches on their order. I got the choco chip muffin top and the caramel brulee pumpkin iced chai with almond milk. The chai was sweet, with just enough pumpkin flavor. The muffin top would've been great warmed up with all the chocolate (and the calories!). The only downside (like others have stated) was not being able to see the menu or prices online without having to wait in line first.... I think that I'll try again once the craze dies down, I'd hoped it would've already, but alas lines are still wrapping around the block and I'm not willing to wait for that long for coffee or anything really. I tried a basic drink, an iced coffee of some sort (can't recall the name), a mango smoothie, and a muffin. The muffin was pre-packaged which I wasn't expecting and just the top. It was alright. My drink was good, but nothing that made me go ahh I need to wait for an hour to get another drink. I did notice the line I was in tended to have to wait much longer than the other. The girl taking orders in my line needed some additional training or something because they could be more efficient. I do think with the crazy, having menus posted while you wait in line might be good, even if they are just poster board menus for now with a few items or best sellers on them. read more

This place is great! The people are always awesome, the drinks are great, and it's always fast! I've always heard good things about this place but sadly I live in a place that doesn't have them so as soon as I found this location I quickly became a regular while I was in town! I keep it simple with an iced vanilla latte but from taking to the employees and other enthusiasts the nitro cold brew is awesome! Look up their menu online before you go to help you be prepared but they're alway way helpful to discover your next favorite drink!!! This is a must try! read more

Impressive. The downside: No menus. There actually is a small one but it only lists a small portion of the menu. Dutch Brothers is new in town and I don't know what I like there yet. I'm always having to shuffle through online menus while in line. Also, some items are poorly labeled in the online menu. I was hoping for a frappe today but ended up with a crazy over-sweet milkshake instead. Their drinks are okay. Marginally better coffee than Starbucks, but then once you see the calorie counts for most drinks, you realize Starbucks looks like the healthy option in comparison. Tbh, kind of a disappointment. We got our drinks in like 15 minutes - definitely one of the shorter waits for Dutch Bros I've experienced. That said, my visit here was good but not amazing. I asked for my drink picture perfect and I ended up with an inch of syrup at the bottom of my drink, which made it way too sweet. Additionally, they were confused about our French Toast drink when we ordered with extra cinnamon. Most other places just know. That said, the drinks were still good, but I think the staff was having a bit too much fun. read more

Was not familiar with DutchBros before but I'm a fan now!! What they've got that nobody else has got is customer service. I'll always be back for great service and at the very least pretending they're happy to see me ... they're good at it! BUT .... I recognize that they're "new" and the "latest novelty" ... so I'm being generous on the 5 Stars ... Dutch Bros does have to get the wait times under control ... Even when I manage to pull directly into the double lane, it can still take half an hour. Wouldn't wait that long for a steak in some places but you've already got my money. Made a visit to your location 2121 Unser, Rio Rancho and was horrified at how laissez-faire the employees were and rude. I waited in a short line for 10 minutes while the girl with standing outside to take the order visited with what appeared to be her friend. The laughed it up and giggled while we waited. Then we waited some more while the car in front of us (same girl) chatted it up with the girl ay the window. When the girl brought our drink, I asked if the car in front had already received her drink and she said yes with a sarcastic response that , "they were just giving great customer service" and rolled her eyes at me! Needless to say, I will not be going back to Dutch brothers and will also be posting this experience on all social outlets including Yelp. Very, very bad visit!! Been to this location only twice. I go here when the line is really short. It opened back in June. The lines were too long when it first opened. I've heard wait times to be up to 2 hours. That's seriously ridiculous! The day I visited the line was so short and only took 20 minutes from ordering to getting the order. I only know of the drink menu, I have not tried any of the food items that they offer. First visit, I tried an annihilator. Wow that had the strongest kick I've ever had! I drank that late in the day and I was wired til the wee hours of the morning. The second visit I tried their Cinnamon Dolce Shake. It had more Cinnamon flavor than anything sweet. Not a good thing, but maybe the next drink I'll try will be a flavored lemonade or smoothie. I'll be coming back to try more drinks, only when the line is short. Hmm, Where do I start ... so after waiting over an hour or so Finally get to the entrance from waiting in over 80+ vehicle line see a small sign that states sorry no cash , sorry for the inconvenience, im guessing the inconvenience was them actually putting the sign feom the entrance of the road and walking to put up the sign 1/2 mile was an inconvenience for them , i asked if i can run across the street and put money in the ATM so that I can place an order and I was told no you have to wait back in line and thats policy,I was pretty pissed off at the incineration of this employee and the way they made me feel like I was just another number ...Needless to say I will never go back to a Dutch bros again read more

I am not a stranger to Dutch Bros so I know the wait can be a little long and that's okay. The drinks are always good and get confirmed at the window before they're handed out. The customer service is always great and the employees are always friendly! This is an updated review, I have had more chances to get back to Dutch Bros. I actually really love going to Dutch. The lines are much shorter now that they have been open longer, even with longer lines it's about a ten minute wait. This is much better then the 45 minutes to an hour you had to wait when they first opened. The staff is incredibly! Definitely good management, the whole staff is always upbeat and always ask you about your day. 9/10 times it feels very genuine not like they are just asking because it's part of their job. This usually happens when the employees are in a happy and positive environment. Personally I still prefer starbucks for coffee, but what they do have is their rebels. Their rebels are drinks made with red bull, the sell them iced or frozen and have a bunch of flavor options. I love them, I normally get one with a chocolate chip muffin top. So far my favorite out of the ones I have tried was unicorns blood (its strawberry, white chocolate, and almond. Which doesnt sound like a good combo but it is). Its definitely worth trying some. They have an easily accessible menu online, try some and see what you think. Definitely try Dutch the next chance you get you will enjoy the experience. read more
