Super nice place and really loved dinner here! They have excellent crab dishes- loved the crab imperial and the crab cake. Also had some great spicy shrimp and oysters for starters. It's definitely expensive but has decent portion sizes. For smaller portions check out the lighter fare options! It's super cozy and beautiful inside and service is friendly

Food was superb The ambience was classic and beautiful The service was the star of the night! Thank you Thomas for a spectacular performance

Dinner there Sunday. Server Tyler one of the best we've ever experienced locally- and we dine out often. (Wife and I worked 80 combined years in hotel industry & also recognize top performers,) Food great. Would give 5 stars if prices weren't raised on already pricey entrees.)

Enjoyed a delightful dinner at Dutch's on a weeknight evening in July. Two couples... The shrimp BBQ bacon wrapped appetizer is to die for... Also in my view, the wine tasting trio is the best deal ever. Our fish and other entrées were very tasty. Service was outstanding and very attentive.

Fried zucchini app. Excellent flavor and texture share with 2 or 3 diners.

Let me be clear, this is a well-located place with great food and AMAZING staff who worked super-hard to make sure my 80+ year old mom's desire to be near/ see the water and also her mobility limitations were respected. That said, do not come here without reading the Yelp Reviews first. It is TRUTH in reporting. Specifically helpful data points from past reviews: Super-huge portions Difference between indoor and outdoor dining experience. High dollar prices. Super-huge portions. To deal with the super huge portion consider the "lighter fare" entrees and definitely makes sure that any appetizer is shared by 2 ppl. If you want dessert, 3 per app, 3 per dessert. Indoor/outdoor. Due to late arriving rain we experienced both outdoor and indoor. I had intended for us to be indoor, but when we arrived the weather was clear and my 17 yo really wanted to view the lake. The outdoor dining is a dockside lake bar. Honi-Honi with quieter music, better food (on site) and more dogs. The amazing staff quickly and cheerfully moved us inside when the rain threatened. The indoor atmosphere is different. Quieter. Calmer more "fine dining" As for price point. Prices aren't on the website. And they are high. 1 crab cake, bread, salad and baked potato is $40. But it's a really great crab cake. And was all together more food than i could finish. Would return - inside - to order from the lighter fare menu.

The garlic shrimp, gluten free corn bread, and the wedge salad are amazing. They're so good it may be my execution meal, lol

Love Dutch's and the Harbor Bar, but it has gotten somewhat pricey! Still favorite place to eat at Deep Creek Lake.

Food was good but it's a stuffy, stiff ambiance. They need to brighten it up a bit and bring in some younger clientele

It was open and the service was friendly at the right time. Drinks were ok. Nothing fancy or special, but no complaints either.

2.5 The thing about…read moresmall resort towns is that there isn't a thing... ya know? Things are what they are and if you don't like it... well... I don't know what to tell you. You're stuck. Oh, before I go any further, this was a pre-lockdown experience. I made my way to Garrett County in late fall. I was catching up with some of my oldest guy friends for a much-needed guys weekend. Being the Type A sort I am (and having never been to this part of the state before), I arrived earlier than everyone else -- much earlier. After gorging myself upon arrival on chips, Oreo cookies and Coca-Cola (a balanced lunch if ever there was one), I realized that I needed to eat something for dinner. I wasn't familiar with the area and the next shipment of attendees weren't showing up until midnight. Oh, and did I mention that I was at a lake house -- with a first floor of all windows -- by myself? And, it was snowing. AND I didn't have cell service. Yes, I was in a horror movie. Trying not to think about my impending doom, I found a drawer of menus and pressed my luck with an easy bet: pizza! In the real world, I have gluten issues. But I knew better than to come to a small(er) town with dietary restrictions and other needs. That was doing too much. Pizza, it was. The young lady on the phone was lovely and when she found out where I was staying, she had to get the okay for delivery (if that gives you any indication of how remote I was... and how I was going to have to fight for my life later). She got the ok and I ordered a pepperoni, sausage and onion pizza. No problem. I was charged a king's ransom for delivery and quoted a long time for arrival but I was alright with both things. I was off the grid, it was snowing and was thankful for any sort of delivery options. After a while, the food eventually showed up. The driver was polite. I paid, tipped and thanked him and I was ready to dig in to the first non-gluten-free pizza I'd had in a while. Despite the oncoming gastric distress, I was looking forward to the familiar taste of flour-y goodness. Imagine my shock and disappointment with what I received. It was not good, y'all. In fact, it may have been some of the nastiest pizza I'd had in quite some time. You see how the earlier review wrote about 'soggy' food? Yep. That. The dough was soggy (see picture), the cheese was congealed and the sauce was tangy. The pie was incredibly greasy and the middle was undercooked. None of this was a good combo. Despite my hunger, I could only suffer through one piece.* I don't want to kick a business when it may be down so I'll reiterate that the employees were very nice. I also thought the sausage (when eaten by itself) was good. The pizza I got was pan-style and the crust was enjoyable. But, I'm afraid, that's the extent of the good things I can say. *My buddies eventually arrived, started drinking like fish and knocked off the rest of the pizza in a drunken stupor -- as one does.
