I absolutely would return to AZ for any installation of a system -- they were brilliant ... SIX stars as the work people were thoughtful, clean, helpful, and terrific. Why only three stars? Because accidentally, one of the window handles was broken and I only saw it after the job was completed. Initially, they were terrific: someone came, took the broken part, and photographed another of the 3 identical handles and said they would replace that one as well. That was 4-5 months ago. I call, their customer service person, Monique, does not return my call and nothing is resolved. Why don't I forget about it? I'm 83. I did offer that -- if they couldn't find a replacement I would pay for the 2 new ones that were needed. No one responded to that either. To be clear, I don't know sh*t about air conditioning. That said, my ac was working before they came, I called them for a cleaning, and then they tried to leave with it not working and convincing me that my unit was "broken" and needed to be replaced. The technician they sent me had a very kind demeanor but I quickly felt like they were trying to pull a fast one on me like this is their MO (you call for a specific service, they give you a deal for a full inspection because they do not do any services without a full inspection, and then they find all these things wrong with your unit). I found another company that's a small mom and pop and they gave me a realistic breakdown of things. I don't have to change many of the parts for at least another year. I have had good dealings in the past with AZ air conditioning and unfortunately, this last experience left me very angry to say the least. It took them 3 weeks for them to come out to even look at our system to see what the problem was. So after about 3 weeks of waiting with no AC, they did come and fix the problem. They told me I should flush my system and that would probably fix my problem. Which cost 4x what the initial fee for them to come out. Fine. They had fixed the problem so I paid it. But 3 days later, the problem happened again and my AC was out. I had called for the technician to come back since it was obviously a temporary solution. When I called back to make an appointment it was another 3 weeks for them to come to fix their problem. The person scheduling had ZERO sympathy or recourse and their only response was, well if that appointment does not fit your schedule I have another appointment 6 weeks out. There was NO feeling of responsibility of fixing what they did. Unfortunately, I would NOT recommend this company at all anymore. read more

I found this company through Costco and I could not have been more disappointed by their sales tactics (borderline high pressure) and will not move forward with this company. Honestly, I felt like I was dealing with a car salesman who was talking over me, spinning bs, and not listening to my needs (he tried to sell me a 4-zone system when I only need a 3-zone system, and also tried to rush my decision making to get me to sign immediately). His pitch seemed forced and scripted, and ultimately I was left with a negative taste that told me "don't trust this guy." Bad experience with AZ servicing our HVAC unit. It was not blowing warm air. The tech from AZ came and after opening up the panel and check a few things he says a motor in the unit needs to be replaced. Even though the unit is just 5 years old. It is going to cost $1600. I felt it is a fairly new unit so that part should not break so early. I got another vendor to come and they found there is some debris felt inside of the motor causing it not to spin. After poking the debris out of the motor the unit is working again. It took less than 5 minutes to find out what's wrong and fix. I was not even charged for the service. So beware of AZ air. I was connected to AZ Air & Heat via Costco...long story short I was given ONE unit as an option for my home and after they started was told by Tito that they had to bring in a roofer to "do the job right" to build a platform and then seal it. The installation team built the platform and the roofer came the next day to seal it...all for an extra $2300. I asked to speak with Tito's boss and was told that "Marlin" would call me back...well, "Mike" called me back introducing himself as "Mike from COSTCO Air and Heating." Costco or AZ? Tal was my point person and he was so helpful and explained the entire process step by step. It was a little pricey but the warranty more than makes up for it and the installation was so smooth and the unit works flawlessly. They also cleaned my ducts and did a beautiful and thorough job. The communication is excellent with text confirmation and our service person was pleasant and resolved our issue in a very reasonable amount of time. The flat service fee is fair and our cost of repair fortunately fell within the service fee range. I highly recommend this business. AZ did a great job of installing a new Lennox Heat Pump two zone HVAC system in our home. The experience started with Juan who did a very professional job of quoting the system. The installation guys were awesome. We feared that the installation would take multiple days and we would be without heat for those days. The team arrived on time. We had 7 installers and an electrician plus helper. Everyone had their job and we're well experienced. There was a concern with the operation of the controller and the temperature sensor. Harry did a great job of explaining the system and making adjustments. Overall, we're very pleased with AZ's performance and would recommend them. read more

One of our two AC heat pumps died before summer, so we've got a referral via Costco to this company. Mr. Jesus Pimentel helped us with the assessment, budgeting out the systems and aftercare. We had an army of workers replaced and install the Heavy duty Lennox systems. The project was little pricier than the other bidders, but we went with AZ as they guarantee their work as well as cost backing them up. Jesus was great along the way with getting the signatures for the work permit as well as answering my novice questions patiently. This company is a joke! I got their contact details from Costco, they came to look at my place, the rep promised to email me a quote within a couple of days. I got no quote whatsoever but 10 days later their customer service emailed me to ask why I didn't purchase with them. Well, maybe because I never got a quote... then they sent me a quote just for one of the options I requested completely omitting my request for the second option. Either way the cost was ridiculously high...$19,000 to replace heating/AC unit, 70,000 btu for under 1,300 sq.f. condo, you can do the math... Very unprofessional... they never responded back when I asked what the cost would be if I just replace the furnace without getting the AC unit. So I never heard back from them... read more

The company have great service. They send a repair guy within 1 hour at 8:30 at night and correct the problem.

Let me start by saying I am a complete perfectionist and because of that, any vendor that works with me should beware! I got quotes from 4 different companies to do a complete replacement of two HVAC systems, upgrade ducting, install air purification system, and add 3 zones. I chose AZ because of Edson Ramos, lead sales manager for the company after our 2nd visit. I used Costco and took advantage of their 15% rebate (which came very fast after the job completed). AZ was not the cheapest; but Edson's expertise in zone mapping, duct reviewing, and his personal assurance to make me happy no matter what is what sold me. So here's what happened after I signed the contract and we set installation: 1) Install Day: 6 guys showed up at 8am sharp and went to work. Other than an hour lunch, they worked non stop until almost 8pm that evening. They tore out almost all the ducts, added all the dampeners, and installed the equipment flawlessly. The city inspector even said it looked fantastic. 2) Next day I noticed the airflow was weak in a few ares of the house. AZ came out within 48 hours to adjust the dampeners, and we were back in business. 3) A couple days later, the condenser outside was making a high pitch squeal that just didn't seem normal. AZ came out and tried to adjust it, but with no luck. This was a Lennox issue, not AZ. Edson again promised me he would make me happy and make sure this was addressed. After his consultation with Lennox (manufacturer), they decided to 'warranty replace' the condenser with an upgraded unit to their top of the line model as a courtesy for my trouble and time spent. 4) Today, condenser has been replaced. The system is working flawlessly and the house is extremely comfortable with clean fresh cool air. What I couldn't believe in all of this is that AZ, (even with a pandemic in the world!) came to finish the job. Unbelievable service level and effort. Thank you Edson and thank you AZ! read more

Not a single bad thing to say about this company. A request for an added ERV system was initially made through Costco. AZ Air called me up and wanted to set up an appointment to see what kind of system I had, Lennox Dave Signature. Jesus arrived on the dot. He went up into my attic where the HVAC was located and noticed I had only one return. He explained that a system that I had required two returns. I enquired about an ERV system, as I heard good things about it. He told me that would help with the problem I had with my limit switch. I told him to send me a quote, which he did the same day. On the installation, two installers, David and Angel R. arrived at exactly the time they promised. They were respectful and friendly. They complimented me on how clean my attic was and proceeded with the installation. When they finished, they showed me how the unit worked and were patient about it. I called AZ to service my unit; the repair guy came and said I needed to replace the condenser on the roof and another appointment was scheduled. When the sales person came out he told me my 10 year old unit was antiquated and that I needed a completely new unit for $12,000. I got another recommendation and was told my unit is fine; $290 and things were running smoothly again. Before you agree to an entirely new A/C unit please get another recommendation. read more

I used AZ Air Conditioning & Heating for yearly service. They charged $140 for the service, and it was OK. However, the technician did not know what he was doing. He made 3 holes on top of the furnace to check the 'air flow,' I guess. I don't know why I let him do it. I don't know why I let him do it. He told me that I needed to pay more, so he clean the dust. So, I asked him how do you close these holes to prevent more dust inside the machine; then he put tape on them. I called their office for an explanation, and they said they would call me back & they did not. I asked the office if, for any maintenance, they need to make several holes, I should have a mesh after 10 years that I have this unit. I should say the first person I should blame is myself that I let him do it, but I don't want to happen to other people. Do not trust the technicians who come to your house and want to sell more services instead of doing the job that got paid for it. read more

AZ just replaced our entire HVAC system and we couldn't be happier. We have been putting off the replacement of our HVAC system for years. LA's hot summers are not forgiving and we decided this year we had enough. We had four HVAC companies come to our home to provide us with a bid. Three of the companies recommended we install 2 separate units to properly cool our two-story 3,500 SF home (the most expensive option) Upon AZ coming to take a look, they were the only company to propose a single unit system with a zoning system (the less expensive option and certainly the right one). Their professionalism and knowledge was top tier, and their patience with us as we navigated through our decision was really amazing. In short, AZ provided the most competitive bid, their entire crew was friendly, professorial, and clean (due to COVID they wore masks, gloves, and shoe covers at all times which made us comfortable during the process), knocked out a quick installation, and finally got our home to feel cool and comfortable. We had an estimate appointment scheduled for yesterday (6/5) from 2:00pm-3:00pm, come 3:45pm no one had shown up and we did not receive a call notifying us. I had to call the main customer service line and was placed on hold while they got in contact with the Sales Rep. I was then told I would get a call back once they figured out where the Sales Rep was. I get a call at 4:06pm saying that the driver had a family emergency and could not make it out. I understand that things happen, but I would have appreciated a heads up before taking time off work to be at our home for 2 hours. We then get rescheduled for this morning from 9:00am - 10:00am, at exactly 10:00am, we get a call that the Sales Rep will be there in 15 minutes. How is it that they wait until exactly the end of the hour margin to call? At this point, we have wasted several hours of our time waiting around for a Sales Rep to show up and decided to go with another company. This is a horrible way to do business and I am shocked that Costco contracts with a company that handles customer service so poorly. You will also see that the majority of the reviews on here are 5 stars (canned/paid for reviews), where the real reviews are between 1 and 2 stars. Don't fall for this and go with a local A/C company that will treat you right. read more

Our first meeting with Juan was pleasant and informative. He answered all our questions, which were few because he did such a great job explaining the job from start to finish. We were impressed at the attention to detail: each crew member wore masks and shoe coverings, they laid cloth on the hardwood where they would be walking, plastic sheeting was placed over pretty much everything! The crew was very efficient: everyone had a specific job, everyone did their job. There was good communication among the crew members. Juan predicted the job would take just one day, we were skeptical, but they got it done! Their truck carried all tools they would need, they sorted tools and materials in the driveway and at the end of they day, you would never know any workmen had been present. Every last bit of leftover trash and equipment was packed up! AZ walked us through operating the thermostat, promised to bring us a new attic access cover (which they did, making a new frame for the access). If you are thinking of installing heating and/or air conditioning in your home, I would highly recommend AZ Heating and Air. Their professionalism and attention to detail was spot-on! Using them made my anxiety level a nonevent! We had an exceptionally positive experience from our first meeting with Juan to meeting the crew to the end of the installation.
