    Yellow braised chicken combo (boneless)
    Emily W.

My party of 5 came by on a Sunday lunch with no wait. Service is straightforward with ordering via QR code. Food came out fairly quickly. I ordered the yellow braised chicken combo (boneless). For the combo, it includes rice, bowl of soup (I chose egg drop), and a cold dish (I chose mixed seaweed). The chicken itself was pretty good, I liked the sauce on it. I think the combo is pretty worth it because the cold dish portion was very generous and it's nice getting a bowl of rice and bowl of soup with it too. Food wasn't mindblowing but it's reliable if you want a cozy hot meal.

First off- the positives. The restaurant was clean and pretty empty when we arrived on Sunday evening for dinner. We had a party of three and had our pick of tables - there were maybe 2-4 other parties in the restaurant around 7 pm. We had just gone on a longish bike ride - and were definitely excited for food. There is a QR code on the table that you have to scan to order- unfortunately the app to order requests a lot of information and also requires your phone number and verification. The staff were incredibly slow given how empty the restaurant was. One member in our party had trouble ordering on the app. We also had a very long wait when we asked for to go boxes for our leftovers and when we asked to pay the check. In fact, my friend ended up eating the rest of his food because it took so long to get a box for leftovers. I ordered the boneless yellow braised chicken rice mild- the chicken came with skin on and jalapeños and a side bowl of rice. The food was simple and tasty. Overall, I would only go back if I were in the area and had a lot of time to wait/ wasn't in a hurry. The food was tasty and hearty and came out relatively quickly. The service was slow and we saw multiple staff members waiting around when we were trying to pay our check so we could leave and bike home before it got too dark. We tried requesting wait staff through the app, since they didn't come over when we waved- but that was also not successful. And after waiting for 10+ minutes we were able to get the check to pay. The food was good and I wouldn't be opposed to getting food or eating here again. I just wouldn't come here if I were short on time or in a rush. We were able to pay for Our items separately, since we each placed our order online- so that was nice and kept things simple within our group.

Simple but solid. The yellow braised chicken has a wonderful sauce flavor, and goes really well with the rice and seaweed salad. The seaweed soup is lightly flavored so helps to break up the richness from the chicken and sauce. Food comes out pretty quickly after you order via a QR code. Service is very polite! Simple tables and chairs inside.

Finally got to try this spot! Lunch date with hubs. Fast service. Yellow braised chicken or was it pork: 4/5 tasty strong ginger flavor. Liked the side pickled veggies and soup too. Sauerkraut beef noodle soup: 5/5 very tasty too! A little sour and very flavorful broth. We will be back!

Food was legit! Savory, well cooked and flavorfully seasoned. Spicy level can be adjusted to your liking. The yellow braised chicken over rice is a traditional northern Chinese dish originated in Shandong province. Who would've thought the combination of garlic, ginger and soya sauce produces such a beautiful yellow glossy color while it trumps the aromatic and rich taste. The chicken pot can be had either boneless or with bone. We ordered the boneless. It was very tender. The pig's trotter pot was braised slightly differently, but equally delicious. I wasn't impressed with the watered-down soup that had barely anything in there and tasted bland. Veggie side dish ok. It's a comfort food with a swagger. Linear seating arrangement with minimum decor. Clean environment. Friendly and courteous staff.

DX Chicken Braise is one of my go-to spots. I first stumbled upon this place while looking for something to eat near the Tesla chargers, and it instantly became a favorite. I love their chicken and rice and their beef and rice, but my absolute favorite is the beef brisket with rice. I always get it extra spicy and add the bamboo. It is so good every time. The broccoli with garlic is also amazing and has become a must-order for me. The food is consistently flavorful, comforting, and satisfying. I often get takeout, and the food stays hot even an hour later when I get home. The staff is nice, the place is clean, and the vibe is casual. I come here so often because the food is reliable and always hits the spot. Highly recommend.

Reminds me of home cooked food. I got the braised boneless chicken because I got kids and don't have the luxury of enjoying bone in chicken. I ordered on the kiosk and choose the potato shreds, egg drop soup, and added quail eggs. Super satisfying and exactly what I was craving. When dining out, so many meals are overly salty, oily, or fried -- I'm glad there's a wholesome alternative that's not just another salad. The staff was friendly and helpful, and they even brought my food out to me while I waited outside.

This is a pretty good spot for fast service & decent food. The server was very attentive & when I went it, only half of the restaurant was filled with people. Here's what I got: Cold Mixed Beancurd & Cucumber & Woodear Mushroom: Amazing. I would come back just for this alone. It's crunchy, refreshing & full of flavor. Yellow Braised Chicken Combo (Boneless) w/ Egg soup & Cold Mixed Cut Cut Potato Shreds: The chicken was just ok, not dry, just wasn't flavorful enough. It was a bit underseasoned. The egg soup was extremely bland, but the Cold Mixed Cut Cut Potato Shreds were amazing. It had a great bite to it. Yellow Braised Beef Brisket Combo w/ Seaweed Soup & Cold Mixed Cut Potato Shreds: My favorite. The beef was flavorful & tender. The seaweed soup reminds me of what I had growing up, but a bit watered down. Passion Fruit Tea: Very watered down. I would not order this again. I would come back to try what else they have to offer.

We ordered take out and my wife choked on a metal bag fastener that was carelessly left in the noodles. We will never order from here again.

Finally a spot where I can find some good braised meat! The chicken was so tender and the sauce was very well balanced. It was not too sweet or too salty. Noodles were just okay. We tried the pork bone soup and the tomato-based noodle soup, but both were a little too bland for my taste. We went at an odd time so it wasn't too busy, and the service was great. They even gave us some fruit tea on the house! The place is clean and simple. I'd definitely come back for the braised dishes!

Generous portions and delicious food! Came here on a Friday for dinner and there was plenty of seating! The vibe feels very casual and the service was pretty fast in terms of seating us and serving the food. The ordering is done online, which is very convenient. We ordered the cucumber salad (10/10, very generous with the garlic) and the intestine chicken combo. It came with many sides (including soup, rice, and seaweed salad), which I enjoyed a lot! The portion was very large and I ended up sharing with someone, which was the perfect amount for us. In terms of flavor, I was very impressed! The quail eggs were also a very nice touch. I'd definitely recommend giving this place a try!

Had a chance to try the DX Braised Chicken Rice restaurant and glad I did! The service here is nice to come with friends if you are craving hearty chinese food and this place has plenty of tables to sit in. The food here is pretty healthy and the ambiance is welcoming. For Food the hubby and I tried: *Yellow Braised beef rice bowl which came with little chunks of beef in a delicious gravy, potato and carrots. This also came with a side of white rice which was great * Yellow Braised Boneless Chicken - This was also delicious and hubby added mushrooms to this as well. This also came with a side of rice which was awesome Overall the food was hearty, well portioned and well priced. Would definitely recommend this spot for a nice Casual meal!

Had a great experience prior to this with a friend so I wanted to bring my mom to try. My experience from the service however was a little uncomfortable. When I went with my mom there was no customers. The server seated us at the bench closest to the wall (the table was pushed into the bench against the wall so we had to move it.) Apparently a lot of the legs on some of the tables and benches are wobbly so they put things under to balance it. The servers told us to move it back under the table since we pushed the table out to sit into the bench. My mom is older and she has a hard time walking, she asked to switch to another table where the benches and tables were already spaced out properly because it is hard for her to bend down and move the things under the table legs. The server gave my mom an attitude and asked why two people couldn't fit into our current table.

They also changed their menu slightly and they are definitely competing with Duan Chun Zhen across the street. They both offer beef noodle soup so I'll mostly commenting on the difference. Liang definitely gives you more beef (meat, tendon, tripe) but it's also about 50% more expensive. They also added Chinese sauerkraut which makes the soup base very different. I personally prefer the 13 spices used in Duan. The noodles are also different. The texture of Duan is more consistent but Liang feels more handmade. Overall I'd prefer Duan over Liang but Liang has more choices such as beef pancake. In other words if you just want noodles Duan is a better choice but if you want more types of food this is an ok choice. There are also more choices for tea here.
